The Next 24 Hours Will Be Busy For Me!

So the next 24 hours will be a busy one for me, as I will be with my dad doing things in the next  24 hours both today and tomorrow. This is why I decided to make a post and I think I am going to do some kind of post, however I wasn't going to originally post something up, however decided to make one since my weight loss is totally off kilter now due to eating out so much this week which isn't right and I know its for my mom's birthday and we didn't wanna cook but to eat 3 days in a row is much. Anyways here is what is on tap for me for today and tomorrow:

Today: I am heading up north for the day to Silent Lake Provincial Park for the day to enjoy the Fall colors as I am sure this is the time it will be really nice to see the leaves in full colors and hopefully the gate is open where we can go right through the entire park and see the colors for ourselves but we will have to definitely wait and see. Also we will be going through the Haliburton area on our way back down towards home and stopping at Makeck's which Walt Mackeny was a former Leaf player and he opened his own restaurant up in the area and it is an yearly tradition for my dad and I.

Tomorrow: Tomorrow we are going on the York Durham Railway on a small Hour and a half trip to Goodwood and back as Saturdays they do not go to Stouville which I wanted but they were completely sold out and I guess they are becoming more and more popular and that is truly great to hear and never know I may have had a part in it when we filmed in there as it is free promotion for them and you guys know I'd promote our local Heritage Railway anytime. I am looking forward to going on as I haven't been on it in a few years probably since the year Larry and I filmed up there.

There is what is what I am up to this weekend or start to the weekend and I think it will be definitely a good time and only the start of things technically as Sunday is another story and like I said you guys are going to know by Monday when I make the initial post about it but enjoy all the posts, today, tomorrow and Sunday as there is a ton of content in the way of the blog coming your way over the next couple of days. Anyways thanks for reading this post today and I will to you guys tomorrow.

Chi-Cheemaun Ferry Spring Cruise 2019

So obviously with the podcasts being late tonight however their all up on the platform makes you wonder where I've been lately. Well I have been away up north yesterday in Owen Sound for the Chi-Cheemaun Spring Cruise. We left early as we had a 3.5 to 4 hour car travel to do and that included the stop for breakfast at Timmies on the way up. Well we got there near 10 am 2 hours before the departure which is more then enough time till we left. As you can see there is a picture of the Chi-Cheemaun sitting in the port of Owen Sound and was easy to find when we got there as it sticks out pretty easily so it is very easy to find between Mid October and end of April when it is sitting in port there during it's winter birth. Anyways we go on between 1050 and 110 am EST and we went in through the side of the boat through a door that is on the car deck of the boat which I never knew there was a door there technically but probably for emergency uses I am pretty much guessing

So throughout the trip we hung out on the deck towards the stern of the boat and up above where the funnel where the diesel smoke came out which you can see on the left side. We had lunch, they gave up Roast Beef, potatoes, cooked beets, I didn't have green or yellow beans and carrots as I am not much of a green or yellow bean kind of person. Also at the bow side inside we had entertainment and it was good and same with the food as well. We also got to go by the Grotto which wasn't visible and some caves as well. I posted it on my Instagram with tons of pics for you guys to see. I will post up some more this weekend. We also to go by Flower Pot Island and saw the Flower Pots. Also leaving Owen Sound the boat gave two final toots of the horn salute goodbye which was really neat to hear. Also arriving the usual horn and it is like she saying hey I'm back home. So it was a good trip overall even though we had to wait 20 minutes for a bus that wasn't full but still a great trip and both my dad and I are planning on going on the Fall Cruise down the road but we do not know when but it is still in the plans but we got some family vacations setup for the next year and a few months. Boston this year and Calgary the following of the year.

Lock Lift Cruise Tour In Peterborough

I know I am extremely behind schedule with posts and what has been going on in my life recently. However, back on Monday, I got to get out of studio for the day and go on a cruise with my parents. It was north of here, about 45 minutes North of here, a town called Peterborough, which I use to go there for softball tournaments and also a concert once. Now the cruise itself it wasn't a long, long cruise, about an hour and a half to 2 hours at the most. We were late leaving but made up for loss time. I thought we were going to be heading to the right but we headed to the left into a smaller waterway, guess river or whatever you want to call it which had a lock. Now this lock was the old style of lock where they had to actually crank it open and closed by hand as back in the day, they never ha automatic things at all like they do in this current time of day. Picture is on the right hand side and you can see the two guys cranking her open so we can get through!

Anyways, we went through the first lock all the way up to lift lock which was all the way up 65 feet up from the level the water we were on as we descended up as we went on our way on our little trip. We got to the big lift lock and I started to freak out. I wasn't sure I was going to make it up the 65 feet up on the lift lock even tho we were on the boat at the time and not going anywhere on the boat and yes I do not like heights whatsoever. However I made it and actually I was standing on the way back down the lock lift but the view from the water lock lift was beautiful and I felt like I was on top of the world which I think I was. The cruise was awesome, I'd recommend it to anyone who came to visit or lives in the Peterborough area. The final highlight of the day was going to the Pizza Factory and we obviously had Pizza and was so delicious! Always great food when we go there, I recommend to go there to eat, it will be worth your while!
