Food Reviews [Royal Winter Fair Edition]

So as part of the Royal Winter Fair I got to taste a bunch of different things, first we had pizza which I had the pepperoni pizza as per usual and it was delicious. I really, really delicious honestly. Then we tried Salami of all kinds was really really nice. Also tried a beef jerky which was Western Smoked and was really tender and nice actually. Also tried a Sturgeon fish sample and first time for me trying Sturgeon. Finally I tried cinnamon flavored honey and was strong at first but then a nice flavor and was something I wasn't use to honestly.

For dinner, I tried this cheeseburger which had beef in it and a ton of cheese. Talk about high cholesterol but I mean it was only the one time and one time only. The flavor was good but the only issue I would mention that it wasn't very hot. It was luke warm even though they put it in the oven for a few minutes still was luke warm so this may be the last time I go there next year for The Royal Winter Fair next time around. Will try somewhere different. Anyways that is the post  for today, I will be doing a podcast about the stories I have that will be Wednesday @ 1 pm ET on YouTube & Audio ONLY. But for right now I will talk to you all on Monday for more blogging fun.

Pizza Munno Review!

So last week, I got to go to Pizza Munno which is in my downtown with Eric on my travels around with him. I got the double pepperoni and the slice was huge! They also did cut it smaller but still do not think I was going to be able to eat it all so Eric took one half and I had the other. Was gooey, cheesey and yes greasy but still was still good. I enjoyed it and actually it was better with double pepperoni actually. Was good to every last bite and I just enjoyed it all together.

So I would rate it 20 out of 10 as it was just over my expections actually so it gets a higher rating then I would ever think. I will be definitely be back with Eric as we have plans to return down the road and excited to go back and have Pizza once again. I can see why it is very busy at lunch hour as it is a very loved Pizza joint locally in the downtown Oshawa area. Anyways that is my review today and I will talk to you all for the end of the week updates + food review on Saturday for the French-Canadian Pavillion.

Favorite Pizza Places?

I know there use to be a bunch of places I use to go to, Dominos but we got turned off by Dominos for our Pizza getting misplaced and also the bacon on it was hard as a rock at a time. The other one that I got turned off was Pizza Pizza and to be honest, I've had Pizza from there once since the burnt and cold pizza gate at Toronto Union Station and only went to our local store cause of the gift card they got me and not been back since. To be quite honest there is only one place we live by for pizza and that would be Little Caesar's Pizza which is up around Kingsway and it is the best pizza ever to be honest! They even got an the Chicago style deep dish pizza which I had for the very first time in Chicago in July 2012 almost 10 years ago. So it definitely worth going to.

The fact it is also really fresh and good and we've had no problems with Little Caesar's Pizza which is good so I vouch by this pizza place at this point and I just do not know why the places above I just feel like that now there is only one place I vouch by at this point and to be honest I wish I can give Pizza Pizza and Dominos another chance and maybe I will down the road but not as of right now. So inconclusion the only place I really like is Little Caesar's Pizza at this moment and honestly that's OK. Whichever once I am most comfortable with and the fact I enjoy it is what really matters in the end. I'm sorry this is a short blog, got so much to do today, editing, watching SPD and getting further into that season but promise you guys to get all caught back to a normal length tomorrow.

Lock Lift Cruise Tour In Peterborough

I know I am extremely behind schedule with posts and what has been going on in my life recently. However, back on Monday, I got to get out of studio for the day and go on a cruise with my parents. It was north of here, about 45 minutes North of here, a town called Peterborough, which I use to go there for softball tournaments and also a concert once. Now the cruise itself it wasn't a long, long cruise, about an hour and a half to 2 hours at the most. We were late leaving but made up for loss time. I thought we were going to be heading to the right but we headed to the left into a smaller waterway, guess river or whatever you want to call it which had a lock. Now this lock was the old style of lock where they had to actually crank it open and closed by hand as back in the day, they never ha automatic things at all like they do in this current time of day. Picture is on the right hand side and you can see the two guys cranking her open so we can get through!

Anyways, we went through the first lock all the way up to lift lock which was all the way up 65 feet up from the level the water we were on as we descended up as we went on our way on our little trip. We got to the big lift lock and I started to freak out. I wasn't sure I was going to make it up the 65 feet up on the lift lock even tho we were on the boat at the time and not going anywhere on the boat and yes I do not like heights whatsoever. However I made it and actually I was standing on the way back down the lock lift but the view from the water lock lift was beautiful and I felt like I was on top of the world which I think I was. The cruise was awesome, I'd recommend it to anyone who came to visit or lives in the Peterborough area. The final highlight of the day was going to the Pizza Factory and we obviously had Pizza and was so delicious! Always great food when we go there, I recommend to go there to eat, it will be worth your while!
