Low Lands Food Truck Review

         During the Peony Festival, I was hungry and decided to try Low Lands Food truck Pizza and all I knew it took 20 minutes and really worth it honestly. It was a sour dough crust on it and same kind we use when we make home made. The Pizza was thin crust but I didn't really mind to be quite honest. It was soft and really good. It was 10 inch Pizza and one thing I loved was the way the pepperoni was was in skinny length, I admit it was different and creative way for the Pizza. I would give it a 20 out of 20, forget the 10 out of 10 it exceeded my expectations. I would have this pizza from Low Lands again in the nearby future. Few Food Reviews!

              I know there is a lot of places where I was at while away on holidays but a few things I want to review obviously:

Veal Meatballs: Never had veal meatballs till now and loved every bite of it. It was so delicious and so tender. It was also served with fettuccine pasta in a sauce with shallots. 20/10 above and beyond my expectations Place: Bistro 1640.

Breakfast Poutine: I know it sounds odd a bit strange but it was really, really good. It was a lot to eat, it consistent of eggs, cheese curds, regular chunk of cheese, not sure what kind but also potatoes and bacon in it. I absolutetly loved it and would have it in a heartbeat! Who would of thought that Poutine for breakfast would actually work. 20/10 exceeds my expecations. Place: La Buche.

Gnocchi with Sausage: I haven't had Gnocchi in ages and it had sausage without the casing on it and was so good and tender and full of deliciousness. I give it a 30/10 as it was probably one of my favorite meals. Place: Coche Dinge Champlain

Two in One Food Review! [Former Genosha Hotel]

               This was about a week ago we returned to the Genosha Hotel which we had a tour of one of their apartments back in May. Anyways they mentioned a food court is opening and my dad and I took to the downtown core after switching the buses as the bus doesn't go downtown fully anymore as the routes have changed once again.... SMH! So we originally were going to not to grab a bite to eat but the Polish food was too good to say no to whatsoever. I had the sausage on a bun with fried onions and mustard and it wasn't a normal bun but on a baguette so the Polish Sausage was gigantic and filly but boy it was super good. I was very impressed! 30 out of 10 as it exceeded my expectations. My dad had some polish style pizza which also looked really good but on a baguette. 

               Now to part 2. We went for dessert which was ice cream floats and I haven't had an ice cream float since  Halton back in the early 2000's that's a good 10 plus years and it was really excellent. Was worth the money and it wasn't too expensive so it wasn't that bad. Only thing is it ended up overflowing which I wasn't happy about whatsoever but I managed it by stopping and walking. 10 out of 10 it was really good and a nice treat to have for a change. Food In Quebec City

              The food in Quebec was amazing! I really went French dishes as I wanted to try them and was worth it. I want to talk about 3 - 4 dishes in total. The First one was Cannelloni. I have never had this dish before but was really, really delicious. Restaurant Parmesan did a great job with our meals and I couldn't believe how much cheese was on it plus parmesan they added to it. Was crazy but was worth it though. The Next dish is from the French Canadian restaurant I had a Beef Wellington which was absolutely amazing. I even ate some Zucchini and it was amazing. Didn't eat all of the veggies as I'm not a fan of Asparagus. 

              I had a very nice French Toast  with apples cut thinly and also a nice caramel sauce and a bit of it was foamed up which was really good. However I couldn't finish it whatsoever there was a bit left as it was stacked two or three pieces of bread hence why I stayed at 226 pounds. However I am working on it now to get it down a lot more. This is the time I want to really push it, exercise more and what not. Anyways the last thing I want to talk about food wise is the Smoked Meat sandwich and Creme Brule. The sandwich was delicious and good. Shoestring fries were great too, I enjoyed it as well. The Creme Brule was awesome just as I remember it last year and has become a yearly tradition for me. Chicken Bacon Swiss [Arby's Review]

           As you know I celebrated the 9th anniversary in style. I went out for lunch with Eric on our adventures and we ended up at Arby's and I had the Chicken Bacon Swiss with tomatoes and lettuce and bacon with the chicken with some honey Dijon mustard which I never knew Dijon goes with chicken and it does honestly. Anyways I just had the sandwich, I didn't have any fries or anything with it. I did have a dessert I will get to that at the end of the blog post today. Anyways the sandwich was juiced and messy but it was really good. I really enjoyed that sandwich it was amazing.

          I also had an blueberry turnover which mind you was amazing was gooey and really delicious actually and I enjoyed every moment of it. Eric's looked good so I said screw it I'm going to get myself one which I most certainly did. It was very flaky like a turnover should be, the blueberries in it was gooey and really, really good. I would give the sandwich a 10 out of 10 and the blueberry turnover a 10 out of 10. The girl that served us was fantastic so the service gets a 10 out of 10. Food Reviews [Royal Winter Fair Edition]

            So as part of the Royal Winter Fair I got to taste a bunch of different things, first we had pizza which I had the pepperoni pizza as per usual and it was delicious. I really, really delicious honestly. Then we tried Salami of all kinds was really really nice. Also tried a beef jerky which was Western Smoked and was really tender and nice actually. Also tried a Sturgeon fish sample and first time for me trying Sturgeon. Finally I tried cinnamon flavored honey and was strong at first but then a nice flavor and was something I wasn't use to honestly. 

       For dinner, I tried this cheeseburger which had beef in it and a ton of cheese. Talk about high cholesterol but I mean it was only the one time and one time only. The flavor was good but the only issue I would mention that it wasn't very hot. It was luke warm even though they put it in the oven for a few minutes still was luke warm so this may be the last time I go there next year for The Royal Winter Fair next time around. Avanti's Food Review

            I was at Avanti's in Oshawa with my entire family, good majority of it for my mom's 75th birthday which is worth celebrating actually. I have been there for a complete different event with our neighbors for our neighbors son's engagement here. I had the Ravioli with Ricotta cheese and spinach in it which topped with a cheese sauce of some sort. Pasta was light and very airy. Very cheesy and I mean cheesy! I went cheese crazy like Mary from Mary Makes It Easy! I would give the cheesy Ravioli a 15 out of 10... BEYOND expectations honestly. 

          Yes I had dessert! I went with something Mary did on The Good Stuff with Mary Berg and that was Tiramisu which this was my first time ever having it actually!  Tiramisu has lady fingers which you can easily get in the grocery store and mind you very delicious as a snack on it's own actually! The tiramisu was delicious and very creaming and soft and boy it had a very strong coffee taste but still good but I didn't get to bed till 1 am this morning as I was wired up a bit still. The Tiramisu gets a 15 out of 10 and again it EXCEEDED my expectations once again. That is the post for today, I will talk to you guys tomorrow for another blog post.

Sauter's Inn-- Food Review

             A week ago almost my parents and I went out to dinner Friday night to celebrate their 50th Anniversary which I have mentioned before days ago but this was the first of the two dinners. We ended up going out to Sauter's Inn In Pickering, Ontario which we have been there before prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic in August 2019 if I remember correctly. Anyways I had the Corden Bleu which had cheese and ham in the middle which was fantastic! A lot as it was thick but was juicy and really good the mozzarella cheese was running out of it! I would give it a 10 all day long. Never doubted anything would of changed prior to the pandemic, still the same amazing food as always. 

            Also had a New York Cheesecake which was like airy and very good with Chocolate Sauce dripped around the cake itself, was also amazing and gets a 10 out of me as well. I also liked the change of the paint as before it was dark when you go in there but the new blue/grey paint gives it a lot more light and I love they kept the same lights. They really did some improvements on that. Our server was amazing and big props to her super friendly service when she spoke to us to get our meal order and anything we needed during our visit. Service definitely gets a 10 out 10 as well. That is my review for today, I will most definitely be back in the future and I will speak to you guys tomorrow!

The Keg-- Prime Rib Review

            My family and I have been celebrating my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and wish I took a picture at the first dinner a week ago but never thought about it. But a week ago today, I went to The Keg and this was my second visit to the Keg actually which was an awesome experience. I had the Prime Rib medium rare with some of these crunchy things which was good along with Garlic Mash Potatoes which was almost good. I really enjoyed their mash potatoes there and should do that here at home at some point as well. 

         It even came with Horse Radish which was hot and I burned my mouth with it actually and I tried it on several bites but then just gave up on it cause it was too hot for my liking and I was always making a funny face every time I dipped my Prime Rib in it, lol! The meat when you cut through it cut like butter and really easy to cut and chew. Anyways my parents got a good chunk of cake and we all got to take a few bites and it had a chocolate cookie crumble at the bottom of it with like a Mocha cake which is like Coffee but it was really good. I give the service 10 out of 10 all day long as the server was really good with us and 10 out of 10 for the meal as it exceeded my expectations once again. Will be back in the future for sure. Food Review [07-30-2023]

               I got 4 different reviews within one blog.First Alton's. I went there twice within 12 hour span. First time had a French Onion Soup which was fantastic with a Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Bacon which was amazing as well. 10/10 for that meal. This was the night of the Bison's game. Then the next morning, I had pancakes which was a ton of them like 3 in a stack if I remember and was nice and fluffy and really delicious! I of course smothered it in Maple Syrup as I always do with pancakes with an orange juice to start my morning off. of course 10 out of 10 again. Then on our way home as I may have mentioned it previously last week on one of my blogs and I had Pasta Bellagio which was fettuccine with bell peppers and I was able to have it plain and I didn't know that or shrimp or chicken, I didn't know I was able to have it plain but chose Chicken. Also came with that soup I had which was cabbage soup with a polish sausage in it or some kind of sausage in it. I mentioned last week as well but I could of had the chicken one with rice in it for soups if I wanted to but chose it this way. Another 10 out of 10 for that dish.

            Now also on the way we stopped for a cookie and drink and Wendy's and apparently the girl serving us could only do one pot at a time which was really dumb and her attitude was not very good and the comment she gave me a comment about how its gonna be hard to eat the frosty and I already knew that. It wasn't necessary to make a comment honestly. If I knew the location I would of reported her but I do not know New York that well but I understand she was having a bad day but the attitude and comments wasn't necessary. I would give that experience a -5 and if I am ever there I will not go to that location if there is a next time. Don't worry I am not turned off Wendy's up here in Canada, I promise you that. Five Guys Burgers Food Review!

         So yesterday I got to go to Five Guys Burgers with my friend Eric who is also Alum from The Video Projects Team era from 2005 till 2010. I ordered a Bacon Burger, with pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard and relish on it. My usual condiments and items I want to have on a burger technically. Now what I thought it was a single patty but it was a double patty and I never asked for it whatsoever but I am not going to complain. It is pretty expensive place to eat if I remember it was around 16 dollars and a chunk of change but it was worth that money actually. Was worth getting actually. 

         Now the burger and a large drink was all I got, I do not even think I could down fries with the size of this massive burger. The other best thing of this was with the drinks you can get refills actually and I considered getting a refill for the road home back into town to meet our friend Terry but I felt like I was floating enough from the large drink I had but anyways, I give this burger a definite 10 all day and next time I plan on adding in the fries I go there. French-Canadian Pavilion [Fiesta Week]

           As you guys know I went to the French-Canadian Pavilion and I wasn't too impressed with some things. Let me get into it, the Meatpie (Tortiere in french) was good, it was more fine with the meat as my mom's is more chunkier which is probably just a preference honestly. I noticed it didn't have the potatoes like my moms but that could of been really mixed in but was edible. The Ragout which consists of Pork Meatballs, and chucks of pork was really good. I enjoyed every bite as my mom and I shared ours between each other and I enjoyed it.

         However the Pea soup was not up to snuff for me, peas were crunchy and not like how my mom makes her as it is normally with split pea soup, so I didn't eat much of it and my mom had some of it not too much. We also got a Sugar Pie for the go which was fantastic which reminded me of my Great Aunt's Sugar Pie she gave me when we visited in 2007 which I had two different pies but let me know if you wanna hear the story of that I can certainly do that but we still have a pie to finish but it certainly and does remind me of hers. Pizza Munno Review!

           So last week, I got to go to Pizza Munno which is in my downtown with Eric on my travels around with him. I got the double pepperoni and the slice was huge! They also did cut it smaller but still do not think I was going to be able to eat it all so Eric took one half and I had the other. Was gooey, cheesey and yes greasy but still was still good. I enjoyed it and actually it was better with double pepperoni actually. Was good to every last bite and I just enjoyed it all together. 

           So I would rate it 20 out of 10 as it was just over my expections actually so it gets a higher rating then I would ever think. I will be definitely be back with Eric as we have plans to return down the road and excited to go back and have Pizza once again. I can see why it is very busy at lunch hour as it is a very loved Pizza joint locally in the downtown Oshawa area. Mamma's Pizza Review [03-31-2023]

             This was requested by my group mod, Billy on a side group I have for ChrisBOnTheWeb and also Jimi. Anyways last week, Larry and I went to Mamma's Pizza and just ordered a pepperoni Pizza with cheese. Note it was a thin crust which I rarely get to have that so it was definitely a nice treat. Now the location is only 10 minute walk from home to go get the pizza which is literally at the corner of a major road and another road but it is nice to have another pizza place since the other pizza place shutdown on us.

                Now the Pizza itself, was the usual nice gooey, cheesy deliciousness out of the pizza and it is definitely the Mamma's Pizza I remember when I went to Mamma's Pizza in Toronto at the Exhibition Place during the CNE many, many years ago. So the Pizza definitely exceeds our expectations 15 out of 10 as I said it exceeds our expectations. Staff there, the girl was amazing in helping us both on the phone as we phoned it ahead of schedule and also gets a 15 out of 10 as well. My team Larry and I will be back there in the future. Wendel Clark's Review.... [The Last Review]

            I wouldn't call this a review, I'd call this a catastrophe...... Now the food, Carlton Street Club Sandwich with Onion Rings were great and all and still give it 10 out of 10 but that is not the point of this blog it is more the service and lack of communication from our server. A good friend of mine was going to get me a cookie dessert which he got his but I never got mine whatsoever so I ended up cancelling it. To top it off they didn't put the bills as we wanted them as some of us were seperate. 

            That is the tip to the ice berg... There was another server that had an attitude issue with us when we didn't do a damn thing to her. I didn't like that whatsoever and glad I cancelled my cookie to be quite honest. I didn't even leave a single tip as they got nothing, nadda zip. Because honestly I AM NEVER GOING back. They will not get my business whatsoever. In the future, I will be going to other places like Teddy's which has never given me a problem. The service I'm giving -10 out of 5. Chucks Roadhouse Food Review [Montreal Smoked Meat & Fries]

            On Friday night, my dad and I ordered out and we thought we would eat out as my mom wasn't up to it. We were going to eat from the Bulldog but decided to try Chucks Roadhouse which wasn't far neither from us. Yes I was eyeing something from The Bulldog, their Mac and Cheese looked good when Eric and I went a year ago. Anyways I got the Montreal Smoked Meat on Sour Dough Bread with fries on the side. 

          Now the sandwich was crazy thick and just like Teddy's does for their Corn Beef on Rye. Was soft and tender and loved every single bite right to the end. Now the fries was a bit soggy but not the fault of Chucks as the steam was stuck in the container so it was non of their fault whatsoever it was bound to happen but the fries were salted just perfect and crispy to my liking. Both the sandwich and fries get a 10 out of 10 even if the fries got a little soggy, not going to take away points for it whatsoever. I'd definitely go back and try something completely different down the road. That is the review for today, I will talk to you all tomorrow!

Ravoli Review- Boston Pizza

             Another review is here as I have a pile to do from the past few weeks to almost a month now and I promise you guys I will try and put them up quicker next time around anyways, I was with my family, at my niece and nephew's hockey tournament which they won the "C Division" Championship. Between the first and second game we went to Boston Pizza which mind you is an amazing place to eat at if you love Italian Food. 

             Anyways I had the Ravioli which consists of Ravioli and cheese in it and it was good, cheesy goodness and quite a lot for a good little pan and filling right to the end of the plate. It was really good and something different for me to try. I usually try and change things around when I eat out as much as possible. Also came with a piece garlic bread which was a little on the crunchy side but still good regardless. I'd give it a 10 out of 10. Brownie Dessert- Wendel Clark's Review

          I have been holding off on this reviews and yes I said reviews, because I have actually have 3 reviews to do this week so this will be a busy, busy week for reviews wise so hope you guys enjoyed this. Now today's review it is another Wendel Clark's review but this time around it is on their dessert as I have already done two other food reviews.

           So I had the Brownie dessert which was really good! Was gooey and had chocolate, caramel sauce a bit with whip cream and a scoop of french vanilla. It was so good and trust me it didn't last very long on my plate as I ate it quickly right to the last bite, it was really that good. I was very impressed with the dessert and honestly I like either of the desserts as I have no preference that I like honestly. McDonald's Food Review

             I do not usually go to Mickey D's (McDonald's) and I do not think I have done a review whatsoever on this at all. Anyways I was spending time with my Niece and Nephew which I do not post about it as it is my time off hours from ChrisBOnTheWeb but my nephew was having lunch with his grandpa (my dad) and my mom and niece and I went to McDonald's. Now I asked for 6 Chicken Nuggets with Ranch which I know sounds odd but it was an option in sauces technically. I also asked for the limited time waffle fries and I ended up getting poutine instead. I also asked for Chocolate milkshake and so did my niece and ended up getting vanilla. They kind of screwed up our order.  Like come on McDonald's we asked for Chocolate Milkshake and i asked for Waffle fries not Poutine. 

            Now the poutine wasn't anything to write home about, was gooey, cheesy and good but got cold quickly. I noticed a bit of a crunch and like I said it was nothing to write home about honestly. Chicken Nuggets get a 5 all day, Shake also gets a 5 all day as well. The poutine I give it a 3, not great, great but still OK. Service I'd give a 1 as I am not impressed they messed up the order. I will not be back to that location near my house again as I am not for one happy with them at all. That is my review I will talk to you all tomorrow.

Food Review [Wendel Clark's]

           I got to go to Wendel Clark's once again but this time with my friend Terry. I was going to get the Chicken on a wrap like I did before but decided to go with the original burger with cheese, onions and pickles on it. I know Pickles on a burger... yuck... However I love it! It started when I use to go to McDonald's for lunch as I grew up. I loved the pickles on it and have ever since! I also had a side of fries on the side so the burger was very gooey tender and really good. The fries were crunchy and super good! I'd give both of them 5 all day out of 5. 

            Now that's not it, we also both had a huge cookie for dessert and it had ice cream in the middle with some syrup whether it was caramel or chocolate it was good and melted very quick and you had to eat the Ice Cream first! I had a hard time breaking it up with my spoon so after the ice cream was eaten, I broke it with my hand and ate it that way. Cookie was gooey and warm a bit as it should be and had that crunch on it. I'd also give that 5 out of 5 all day long along with our waitress she gets a 10 out of 5 as she exceeded our expectations as customers plus I gave her an extra very generous tip.
