Thoughts On Ontario's Recent Snowstorm?

Last week, we had a massive snowstorm here in Ontario which was 55 centimeters of snow! Yes the most we have had since 1972 so that was a long time ago. However we survived, I for the most part along with my parents and I stayed home as we live on a hill and were pretty much stuck at home at the time. I helped my dad with the snow blowing on our driveway which even now I am still feeling the after affect of it with my back but that's ok really. It was great exercise and probably the reason I lost a ton of weight since then on Monday. Last major snowstorm where I was stuck at home, I believe was was when I was in college but still managed to go to school regardless with less students there. I never in the 36 years, my entire life and yes I gave my age which I'm not afraid of-- but I have never seen such a crazy amount of snow in my life. My dad even took a video of me snow blowing which I have yet seen which I have to ask him about it.

Was quite a crazy snowstorm but by the next day we were plowed out and able to go out and about so our city did a fantastic job digging us out of this mess, compare to past storms we ended up it was 2 or 3 days we had to wait to get unburied from the snow. However I ensure you we are perfectly fine and you probably did notice that I was onlin a ton more then usual that day.  I think it was just time where it was going to happen and only snow we have has been the light snow but either way that is today's post. Oh I have added a picture above  to show you how much we had! I will talk to you all tomorrow.

Snow Has Already Started!

The snow is already here in Ontario, Mother Nature did not wanna wait till the New Year or around Christmas this year and that's OK as long as it is not a lot of snow that is what matters to me and it wasn't much and it didn't stay down too long so that was fine too as well. I love to see snow but when it keeps on snowing and snowing then I start to dislike it as I am tired of the thickness of snow and walking in the snow especially but that is the Canadian weather for ya. It does get pretty insane from time to time in the way of the weather here but as Canadians we are very use to it. I wasn't expecting it to be till around now but we sure got some snow here in Ontario. Mother nature has sure been unbelievable this year with heat, rain and now snow I cannot know what to expect from mother nature this year.

As you guys know I do not like going out in the rain especially or the snow but I have to deal with this weather and I have already brought out the winter jacket and boots for this very odd weather. We seem to get snow here when we are not suppose to have the weather it just shows up from time to time. I dunno how to explain mother nature's logic behind having snow when they tell you it's only 50% chance of it actually happening yet we got snow on Monday. Guess she wanted to give us snow after all no matter what percentage it is 20%, 50% or 90% they gave us snow this week on a day we weren't suppose to get it honestly but ended up getting it no matter what.

It sure doesn't help the fact I kept on saying I wanted the snow and only I would open my big yap to wanting snow after all. Maybe for once Mother Nature, she listened to me? Maybe I just decided to jinx the weather? I know someone that Larry and I both know will not be happy whatsoever with the recent snow fall and will give him and I both the look for wanting this snow here in Ontario. I am ready for the weather change and I know with this cold and snow my knees will be a troublesome with pain and aches and pains but nothing I am not use to or cannot handle, I am more then able to handle this weather but extreme weather, I cannot handle so much like freezing rain or snow storms and so on.

Am I Looking Forward To Winter?

So am I looking forward to snow this winter? No! Not really, it's driving me insane with this cold weather at the moment with my knee, pain and possible arthritis which is another blog post for later on in the week, hint, hint, double hint 😉

I mean the snow is nice around this time of the year, especially around Christmas time and what not but before or after the holidays having it non stop is would drive you nuts after a while and trust me what I have heard this Winter as I'm in Ontario that we are getting snow and boy I am not happy one bit the fact its here and I gotta deal with it and especially with my knee.

One good thing is, I can play in the snow with my niece and nephew especially, make a fort, make snowballs for a snowball fight, snow angels and just have plain good old fun with my niece and nephew. So yes and no I am looking forward to winter, as for the no it is mainly my knee that is driving me nuts and that's the post for tomorrow that I will be writing about. One other thing I sure look forward to with the snow is having a white Christmas and I think we will end up having a white Christmas as long as the white stuff stays on the group between now and Christmas we should have  a white one this year up here in Ontario. However, there are pros and cons to snow and I think I pretty much put my opinion on am I am looking forward to Winter, what do you guys think? Are you looking forward to winter? Let me know!
