How Will May 12th - 19th Work?

As you know I will be away May 15th, 2024 out to Quebec City with my parents, so I will not be around for 5 days. So this is how it will work. The blog I will write them on the weekend for the Monday & Tuesday but the Wednesday - Saturday I am pre-written this week posts, while editing doing a ton of different things at the moment. Was a busy getting things done.

As for the end of the week, I've spoken to Kelsie and we have agreed to stop the end of the week updates for that week on the 18th of May due to the studio being closed there will more than likely no updates as I will be only working Monday and Tuesday then I will be off for 5 days straight. As for Entertainment Man Podcast I have been recording those two episodes that I worked on. Those 2 episodes will be just posted, meaning there will be no premiere on that day. I am not going to be available for the premiere of the episode. Once I am back then everything will be back to normal for us moving forward. Anyways that is the post for today, I will talk to you all tomorrow for another post!

Toronto Trip With My Dad!

On Wednesday, I was in Toronto for the day with my dad. I showed him the new Bay Concourse where you get the Go Train in any of the directions. That took up 30 - 45 minutes of our time and I explained a lot of things to my dad even with the food court not yet open but looked like it was work in progress and they've gotten further then a few weeks ago when Eric and I were there few weeks back which I think was end of the month of June so almost a month honestly. It was truly nice to be back and a lot busier Wednesday when my dad and I went to Toronto but if you remember it was towards the end of the month of June and kids were still in school and finishing up their year so it wasn't as busy as it was earlier this week.

Now, we went through Scotiabank Arena where the Leafs and the Raptors play and took some pictures in front of the statues which was cool. Next we went to the Island and we got on the Hanlan's Point and walked to Centre Island. It was busy on the Ferry no matter what Ferry we took, originally we planned Ward's but Ferry was busy but then decided Centre but we missed it and didn't leave till noon as they added in the other Ferry, Sam McBride. So Ongaria was coming in so we took it and decided to go to Hanlan's. When we got to Centre Island we went to Far Enough Farm to see the animals and we also saw an Zbu which is a type of cattle and was very friendly and affectionate like it was a dog. Never seen an animal friendly like this before but was neat. Never heard of em till yesterday. Anyways, that is the post for today, I will talk to you all on Monday for the next blog post, please enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Learning To Travel Again During This Pandemic

It was one of my worst fears after being locked down for a year and unable to see friends and what not till August 2021 of last year. Being able to travel in my region again and I have made it clear that I am not planning to travel out of the region especially right now with this pandemic new variant it is not worth trying to get sick. That isn't the point but at some point of time I will have to go back into Toronto and yes that is a very huge step for me and it almost happened last year too as my dad and I had plans to actually go to the Toronto Christmas Market but I heard some kind of rumors they shut it down cause of the rise in cases. However I am currently happy traveling in the region and the region only for now and I have really gotten around during this pandemic. I have even travelled on my own while cases been high but not too far but recently made a trip to the mall twice and the post office once which I need to make 2 more visits, one today which I am more then likely out by the time this is now out for you guys.

It does take courage but not only that but it is how I am feeling and Eric has really put me out of my comfort zone but that's OK honestly. I had to start learning how to travel again, get use to being out and about. Plus not travelling the bus has changed so much as now the paper bus pass is not a thing no more. That has been abolished? I dunno if that is right word. Let's just say they took away the paper passes here and we have a system called Presto and now I got two options for a bus pass one is $45.50 and the other is $46 bucks one which I get the second one. I know I haven't travelled much during January but this month I have been on the bus a tad bit more then usual which is great to be honest and I need to go out for more bus rides and it is a very safe method of travel as I take the more less busy buses but I only go out if I really need to but I think a bus ride once a week would definitely do me some good. That is my post for today, I will talk to you all tomorrow!

Halton County Radial Museum Opening Weekend!

It has been nearly 2 years since I have been able to go to the Halton Radial Museum and the picture on the left side is a picture almost 2 years ago, this was October 13th, 2019 when we were at Halton County Radial Museum and yes I had a goatee then which right now it's just my stache at this moment of time since it is summer after all. When I got the word about Streetcar Museum was doing a Soft Opening, I was so thrilled and wanted to go in the back of my mind. My dad mentioned we can go if you want. I was hesitant with this pandemic still ongoing and cases gone up a bit recently but I realized we're masked and social distancing so really I had nothing to worry about. The way I think of it  it is an outing and got my out of the house for a several hours and was nice to be in the car and out for a ride.

Now to this present day, there was rain on the way there and we got there to Halton County Radial Museum the rain subsided. We checked in and showed our tickets and did our COVID-19 questionnaire to ensure we're good to be there.  We then proceeded into the barn and looked around. A lot of the displays have been moved about in the main barn as they have added the CLRV's (Canadian Light Rail Vehicles) and ALRV (Articulated Light Rail Vehicle) and some are going to the States but due to our borders being closed they are being stored in at the museum and I took a picture of them. I grew up with the CLRV's and ALRV's most of my life and I know I probably have been on the PCC. It is so amazing to see so many changes to the museum over the course of the pandemic and they sure have been busy working on changes to it. Also 4040 which is the CLRV Streetcar that my toque went for a ride and my dad and I had to go chase all over the city of Toronto to get it back. Another story for another day. Either way I give a big applaud to Halton County Radial Museum and the hard work they have done during the time they closed and was very honored to return once again. I really missed going there and it was an honor to return and do another amazing post. Few more things is the progress they have made with their restoration projects and how far they have gone. Also by the barn there is a streetcar that's sadly rusted away but the vine growing on the streetcar it looks really cool actually you can see a bit of the windshield a tad. Anyways that's my post for today, hope you enjoyed it and will talk to you all tomorrow.
