Halton County Radial Museum Opening Weekend!

     It has been nearly 2 years since I have been able to go to the Halton Radial Museum and the picture on the left side is a picture almost 2 years ago, this was October 13th, 2019 when we were at Halton County Radial Museum and yes I had a goatee then which right now it's just my stache at this moment of time since it is summer after all. When I got the word about Streetcar Museum was doing a Soft Opening, I was so thrilled and wanted to go in the back of my mind. My dad mentioned we can go if you want. I was hesitant with this pandemic still ongoing and cases gone up a bit recently but I realized we're masked and social distancing so really I had nothing to worry about. The way I think of it  it is an outing and got my out of the house for a several hours and was nice to be in the car and out for a ride.

            Now to this present day, there was rain on the way there and we got there to Halton County Radial Museum the rain subsided. We checked in and showed our tickets and did our COVID-19 questionnaire to ensure we're good to be there.  We then proceeded into the barn and looked around. A lot of the displays have been moved about in the main barn as they have added the CLRV's (Canadian Light Rail Vehicles) and ALRV (Articulated Light Rail Vehicle) and some are going to the States but due to our borders being closed they are being stored in at the museum and I took a picture of them. I grew up with the CLRV's and ALRV's most of my life and I know I probably have been on the PCC. It is so amazing to see so many changes to the museum over the course of the pandemic and they sure have been busy working on changes to it. Also 4040 which is the CLRV Streetcar that my toque went for a ride and my dad and I had to go chase all over the city of Toronto to get it back. Another story for another day. Either way I give a big applaud to Halton County Radial Museum and the hard work they have done during the time they closed and was very honored to return once again. I really missed going there and it was an honor to return and do another amazing post. Few more things is the progress they have made with their restoration projects and how far they have gone. Also by the barn there is a streetcar that's sadly rusted away but the vine growing on the streetcar it looks really cool actually you can see a bit of the windshield a tad. Last Few Days Hasn't Been Easy!

             Yesterday and today, hasn't been easy for me, from dealing with drama which I certainly do not need the extra stress on me to this morning working most of the night and fixing the feed for the podcast I have seen it all. All I was doing was getting a drink when some drama which I will not talk about but the day I had 16,100 + steps as well which is probably one of my all time bests since getting the fitbit. Anyways that was not the only thing that went on was seeing my ex staff in long time. On top of that bus driver being miserable and trust me I had some comments I made and of course Eric, being Eric laughing at my remarks I was making and this year I have noticed I am or have become more of a clown in person and I have noticed even despite the moods been up and down so far this year I still seem to make remarks and I seem to be more sarcastic at times as well. Yesterday I wasn't having it and maybe I just gotta get back into the swing of things with being out and about as over the holidays I was at home most of the time and rarely got out and about minus walks around in my area.


               Now this morning, well one of the episodes had the new intro that I changed in September but I wanted to make sure it was back to before the 12th season of the podcast with my voice. It wouldn't let me change so I had to re-upload the last 3 episodes on the feed which by the time you see this post it should be updated and up to date. Speaking of up to date or updates; we're getting further in the Everything About Reality TV Page and yesterday or the day before that, we ran into issues with the code on the page so I started to tinker with it change the code around and I figured out and now we are on a good pace at this point and hope to get it done by the weekend hence the off schedule of posts recently where I go very quiet on Social well between 6 pm and Midnight EST, I am more then likely in bed early and up during the night so you can see the pattern of my sleeping habits right now are different and hopefully soon I will get back to a normal pattern but that may not be for a few weeks now as there is a ton of work to be done. Today may have been a rocky start but it will pick up I am sure.

Doors Open Event 2019

                 Yesterday we had a Doors Open event and I think it was all across Ontario honestly which is really cool we got to do this as there hasn't really been one here before. So we went to a few places yesterday for those who are wondering what day I went to the event it was yesterday. I can say we made a mistake as we went to the Airport first and we took much time to find the NO. 6 Fire Hall as we were planning to visit it for doors open but we ended up in NO 5 which I told my dad it was 6 not 5. So we got down to the Courthouse for the Doors Open too late. We got to the airport and we saw a Cessna Float Plane I believe it was a 185 if I remember correctly. Also Piper and also the World War trainer "The Harvard" airplane. Also a Russian Airplane as well that we saw that was sitting there and my dad gave me a brief history on it as well. Also I had this Grilled Cheese with Macaroni.

I will get into that on tomorrow's blog post for you guys as I got yet another food review that wasn't suppose to be schedule this week but I am adding it in for you guys one way or another.  So we next up since the Courthouse Doors Open ended at 1 pm EST our time here we went to the Armory where we had all the vehicles from the Canadian Army which was so amazing how tough the vehicle material and we guess it is definitely very safe when in travelling. We spent probably a good 10 - 15 minutes there before we headed on our final location which was Cowan House which he was Mayor for about 6 or 7 years for our City which was a town at the time before it became an actual city as it is pretty good size now to this day. So we had some history of our city from way back in the late 1800's and I never thought the city existed back then but hey I learned something completely new yesterday an it is always nice to learn something new about the city that you live in. 


                   It wasn't a complete failure as we had the one mishap with the one location but both my dad and I agreed if they do this again next year and I am sure they will and I think it is a great way to expose yourself to some of the history of your local city or town's history. We have a couple of other locations in the back of our minds what we wanna do next year if they do indeed do this again. Anyways tomorrow like I am doing the food review and I did not get the name but I know exactly what it is and how it tasted so that is tomorrow's post then we will be back into a normal routine but I have already pre-written some already ahead of time as today, tomorrow will be a busy one so I am a bit of ahead of myself as my schedule is quite booked up recently. So be on the lookout for that and we will see you guys tomorrow for the next post which will be back up @ 11 am EST.

What I Did On My Day Off Yesterday!

              As you all know I was off yesterday, I just needed a break from it all, the stress with all the work load being piled up on me. So my dad, my niece and nephew which I approved them coming along, I wouldn't say no to them coming along with us any day of the week, so they came along as they had the day off of school due to a P.A. Day and we went to Toronto for the day. We took the GO Train into Toronto so it was easier to get home quite quickly and I will get into that shortly as something did happen on the way home. We got into Toronto, had a quick lunch at Subway, saw the Rogers Center dome opening for the baseball game little later on for the Blue Jays Vs The Orioles. 


We got onto the Island we went to Centreville and went on a few rides, The Antique Cars which as you can see on the right side I wasn't driving, that was my nephew who was the driver as he was driving a little erratically but with me coaching him, he got better very quickly and is a great listener when I try to help him improve on things. But he did extremely well with the driving of an old antique car like this one. Also it was quite difficult to get my fat rear end into the seat of this car as it was a tight squeeze and hard also with my bad back as well. Also we went onto the Swan Ride and I steered the swam around with my niece. We then had ice cream and headed back to the ferry and we were on our way back home to Durham Region, Ontario and the next part of my day continues.


                We got back home just for a minute for a pit stop break and we were back out the door to go to my brother and sister in Law's for dinner. We had veal Parmesan, Fucilli noodles with red or white sauce, also stuffed Portabello Mushrooms which I tried it even though I am not a big Mushroom fan but I loved it and I would eat it in the nearby future. I played Minecraft on the PS3 and I still totally do not like it on PS3 whatsoever because of the very slow moment in the game and my nephew Nathan's chest wasn't opening when I had it open before so something must of happened. I felt bad I lost my niece's horse she had and my nephews one fire aspect sword which I was ready to walk out the door but I didn't. I stayed and built my nephew a ice berg for his model Lego Titanic which mind you it took me a while to try and figure out the actual dynamics of building it out of Lego for him but he very much appreciated me doing that for him as well. That was my day, it was a busy day and I really enjoyed it but time to get back to work today and tomorrow, then planning one last day off then getting down to the nitty gritty of things!
