Toronto Trip With My Dad!

On Wednesday, I was in Toronto for the day with my dad. I showed him the new Bay Concourse where you get the Go Train in any of the directions. That took up 30 - 45 minutes of our time and I explained a lot of things to my dad even with the food court not yet open but looked like it was work in progress and they've gotten further then a few weeks ago when Eric and I were there few weeks back which I think was end of the month of June so almost a month honestly. It was truly nice to be back and a lot busier Wednesday when my dad and I went to Toronto but if you remember it was towards the end of the month of June and kids were still in school and finishing up their year so it wasn't as busy as it was earlier this week.

Now, we went through Scotiabank Arena where the Leafs and the Raptors play and took some pictures in front of the statues which was cool. Next we went to the Island and we got on the Hanlan's Point and walked to Centre Island. It was busy on the Ferry no matter what Ferry we took, originally we planned Ward's but Ferry was busy but then decided Centre but we missed it and didn't leave till noon as they added in the other Ferry, Sam McBride. So Ongaria was coming in so we took it and decided to go to Hanlan's. When we got to Centre Island we went to Far Enough Farm to see the animals and we also saw an Zbu which is a type of cattle and was very friendly and affectionate like it was a dog. Never seen an animal friendly like this before but was neat. Never heard of em till yesterday. Anyways, that is the post for today, I will talk to you all on Monday for the next blog post, please enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Halton County Radial Museum- Fall 2021

I know I have been to Halton recently but we returned for Streetcar rides and it was a fun day and yes I know I have been on the road a ton lately. So we got there and we have to show proof we're vaccinated so if you visit anywhere in Ontario, know you have show proof of vaccination. Anyways we had 3 choices of streetcars and not any street but 3 Generations of Streetcars, Peter Witt, PCC (Presidents Conference Car) and the CLRV. It is pretty cool there is 3 generations of Streetcars on Sunday. So we started with PCC # 4600 which was originally an 4500 numbered which recently had been repainted. Then we went into the barn to look around and noticed they are painted the Hamilton Streetcar so their progressing well with the project.

Then we got onto the 4039 CLRV which brought back a ton of memories growing up as when I was younger these were the go to Streetcars we road around Toronto when my Dad and I went into the Big T.O. Anyways we road right back around and we got off and we grabbed the Peter Witt # 2894 which was the last car of the day and our visit. After we took some pictures around, took a picture of 4010 which is being repaired as I found out from their Instagram and glad their always making repairs to the fleet of streetcars and also I took a picture next to the colorful # 4178 which you can see a picture of me next to it. So in all, we had a great day and I hope you enjoyed today's post and I will talk to you guys tomorrow.

Pizza and Dessert From Kitchen Place Food Review!

Now it is obvious where I was now it is 48 hours now which equals 2 days ago technically but on the way back we went to the local grocery store which had warm food and when I say warm food I mean Pizza, whole chicken, some good stuff and reasonable prices too. So I grabbed Pizza, mainly Pepperoni and Cheese Pizza which had a nice hint of Oregano which we all know is a herb and tastes great in food. Anyways the first bite that I took and it was really fresh. It was also really super soft and very delicious as well and I really did enjoy it. My thought was just like my mom's homemade pizza that she makes from time to time which next time I eat pizza will probably be on my 34th Birthday this year. Now for the rating I would give it a 10 out of 10. It was really enjoyable and I would eat the Pizza again even if my dad and I even went there I would definitely have it again especially as it was really good.

However for the dessert, not as enjoyable as I was not happy with it whatsoever but I ate it. I found this chocolate and with some creamy stuff inside too sweet for my liking. Now yes I have a sweet tooth but that much of a sweet tooth honestly. Both Eric and I found it too sweet so it wasn't that great. Now if it didn't have the cream on top and just chocolate in the middle of the chocolate part that probably been fine but the way they had it and it is very hard to explain to you guys what I am talking about. I should of took a picture of all the food I had but I didn't. Either way I wasn't pleased with the result of the dessert so I probably, more then likely just like Eric not too happy with the dessert. However majority of the time I'd say there are tons of things that I do like and this dessert wasn't one of them on my list along with Sushi which is one I do not like whatsoever. Either way this dessert is getting a 1 out of 10 as I said I found it too sweet and that's OK, but I will give em a 5 out of 10 the way it was presented in the container and it did look good at the time but once I took a bite, I wasn't overly impressed. I hope you enjoyed this food review and I hope to have more like these again in the very nearby future.

York Durham Railway 2019!

I know the posts are out of sync in the last couple of days with my very busy schedule recently but here is the post for today. I went to York Durham Railway and this is the first time I have been there in 3 years as 3 years ago I filmed with Larry up there for the what was the series finale and also I took a trip on it with my dad that summer as well so it was definitely time to hop back on the train, even if it is partially down the line to Goodwood and back which is what we did. I am not going to talk about the difficult time we had getting tickets as things all worked out in the end but I am so happy they are getting more and more popular to this day and I'm sure when I filmed up there it helped them as well. Anyways we went to Goodwood and back and we were on Car # 101 which is a Budd car from Boise Idaho which yes is the potato state in the U.S. Anyways we were pushed and pulled by diesel 22 which ran in the province of Quebec. So we went on our way and now we were like in the dining car where it had a table and chairs so it was comfortable for me at least but it was nice but I perfect the other type of car but those were the only seats really available at the time of our purchase of tickets.

This is not much of a post of the day as I did take several pics which you can definitely find on my Instagram account @ChrisBOnTheWeb. Anyways we had a good time yesterday and we know in the very nearby future we need to book ahead of time to do the entire trip to Stouville and back as we very much do enjoy that trip in the past and we will be back next year for sure! We will be making sure of that! Also we got a look at the Diesel up close and I wish I said I'd like to go into all 3 of the diesels when we filmed which I can say I have been in all 3 but least I got to be in 3612 at least. So may as well mention this to you guys as well this weekend my dad and I are off to Halton County Radial Museum and the following weekend we are heading to South Simcoe Railway so we will be indeed busy for the next few weekends with new posts. Again thank you so much for reading this short post and I hope you guys enjoyed this little post about my trip and I know it wasn't much but least I got a post out for you guys tonight due to me being extremely busy all day with Larry.

Silent Lake & Haliburton Ontario 2019!

Yesterday I got to go up north for the day with my dad and got to spend some time in the great white north. It also gave me the time to start reflecting on things not just CBOTW related and my life. My life hasn't been the most happiest nor positive in the last while and I need to get back into a more happier mood and positive attitude as it really gone south and yesterday was a good day to be out despite it being cold and what not but we dressed warm so we were perfect. Anyways we got there and went to our own stopping grounds campsite 127 where we last stayed which was years ago when we were staying with the trailer. Then we went down the hill to the dock took pics out there, then followed by our little rock area. Then we headed out to the day beach. We did a couple of the loops where we camped but that was pretty much it. The Day beach was the last place we went to.

Then we headed our way to Haliburton as it is on our route heading home and we got to see the colors which I think honestly was about 90 - 95% full colors. We got to Haliburton and we went to McKeck's which a food review is coming this upcoming week as I have two reviews coming out this week back to back so stay tuned for that as well. Overall we had a good day and we had a very busy day but least I did sleep well that night and able to get sleep for the next day which is the York-Durham Railway which I will be talking about on tomorrow's blog post. Had a small issue with the tickets that same night and I wasn't very happy about the way things ended up but all worked out both the trip to Silent Lake and this weekend and I cannot wait to talk about it to you guys about the other places I have been to and I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I will see you guys in the next post tomorrow hopefully on time.

Next Week, Heading Out To Etobicoke With Larry!

I am heading out to Etobicoke next Wednesday and already 40% chance of rain which isn't too good but we're going anyways as the chance is at 40% so it is not that bad honestly and I do not think it will happen at that percentage. So we probably have a cloudy day I am predicting and it will be a fun day ahead of us. In Etobicoke, we are first heading to Sherway Gardens to start the day off with Lunch at the mall there. From there we are heading over to Kipling Station and across to Spadina and from Spadina, we are heading down into China Town all the way to the harborfront and back to Union with no stops, then Union Station back home. However, you guys see us both Larry and I, which we will have our CBOTW Tags on, be sure to stop us and say hey! Love chatting with you guys! So we are excited to be going out there and on the bus and touring from the west end of Toronto to the Central side of Toronto and hopefully promoting CBOTW on our way across the city. If the weather is nice I will be wearing my CBOTW shirt so you will definitely recognize me one way or another. It is going to be a fun day and the fact I am getting out of Durham will be indeed nice and away from the drama I have had to deal with in the past month, it will just be nice to be away from here and in the bigger city with my co-founder of Everything About Reality TV and Co-Founder/Host Power Rangers Podcast as well.

I wish Wednesday would come quickly as I need to get away cause I am once again still going bat crazy around my studio and this week, the only time I left the studio for a few hours was back on Monday as I have been stuck inside and since the weather has been nice minus the rainy days we have had recently I should be getting out and about for the day, even a bus ride would be nice honestly but least next week I will be out and about and in July him and I are heading to Starr Burger to try their burger or the other option could be Five Guys Burger place which is nearby the Walmart and down the road from our local mall but either way we are definitely going to be out and have a great day in General. It does seem like a lot that is going on but honestly it isn't if you think of it as it is pretty much a direct route out to Union from where we will be. We have 2 - 3 different options we could do honestly but soon as we get to Long Branch, the fun will indeed begin! Oh don't worry there will be pictures on Instagram and I will be doing a blog post about the day out in Toronto as well!

Toronto Trip PT. 2 & Wendy's Baconator and Frosty Food Review

So obviously I was back in Toronto yesterday on a mission which I am keeping top secret but however it was a good day minus the mishap we had with trying to locate the bus out to the middle of nowhere, no mans land of Toronto and yes we were near the lake side however it took us a while to find the bus when it was a very short walk for us after all of that, we went all the way to Wellington Street for no apparent reason but luckily we figured it out and got the bus by a hair. We figured out that the bus don't even damn well stop on Wellington so we went from there back down to Front Street so we got extra exercise out of it one way or another. However we figured out the bus route and it all worked out well in the end of the day and we got where we were going and we managed to have a great day out in Toronto. Now the second part of the post today I want to talk about is a review of the Wendy's Baconator and Frosty. The Baconator was messy but it is always good when it is messy. The bacon had it's crispy bacon game and the way I like to have it.  Now when it came to the Frosty and I tried to drink it through a straw it just went half way then stuck so I ended up scooping it out with my straw which kind of stunk but it was really tough and half frozen so it was truly a frosty. I could of left it longer but I didn't bother. I'd give the burger a 5/5 and a generous 3 out of 5 for the frosty.

We got back to Union Station and headed home. I was really out of it most of the way home and very quiet as I was extremely tired and I fell asleep after dinner all the way to 2 am and up the rest of the night but napped this morning. Tonight will be about me going to bed on time and getting the Power Rangers podcast done before Saturday which I am getting closer and closer to finishing up. Yesterday was fun and in the end there is still work to be done before Sunday before the more fun begins the actually recording of the episode. Either way I definitely think both Eric and I had a great day and a stress reliever from everyday life in general.

Trip To St. Micheal's Cathedral & Lakefront In Toronto

I went to St. Micheal's Cathedral for Mass, hence I was on and off social which today I am once again back in Toronto for a complete different thing and it will be with my friend Eric this time around. Anyways getting into Toronto, we had to re-route ourselves due to the Don Valley Parkway was closed which was just our luck that the Parkway aka the Parking Lot as it is always called technically. We had to go along Kingston Road to get into that which was the worst idea ever. Why you ask? Well we were stuck in traffic for quite some time and by the time we got to the church/cathedral it was almost half way through the Mass but better late then never. It was beyond our control really, everyone I think was taking the side roads due to the Don Valley was shutdown. Either way we made it in time for the Sermon. Anyways after I thought we were going to straight home which I had plans to actually work yesterday afternoon on the Power Rangers Podcast as I am a now less then a week from recording and really need to get the job done so I am waiting till tomorrow and I know it is last minute procrastination but I will get it down as the amount of pages is dwindling and I was up most of the night last night as I went to bed early and had the extra time to get things done as by the time you are reading this, I am back into Toronto. I did work on it a tad bit on the Power Rangers Podcast a bit this morning but that's besides the point of today's post.

Anyways, back to the trip not rambling about my workload we decided from there to take the subway where we were down to the lake and we originally were planning on going for a ferry ride there and back but due to the lineup being so long we decided to walk along the waterfront, get a drink and enjoy looking at the Ferry boats which all of em were running yesterday. Also a lot of the cruise boats were out and about. Also we noticed with all the rain that the water levels were up and the wooden walk way was pretty much under water and stairs to a small look out was underwater so there was a lot of areas flooded and made me wonder how the Toronto Islands were this year as the island was pretty much shutdown as there was residents that live on Ward's had to deal with the flood last year and wonder if they were affected this year at all. I don't think that all the ferry's would be running just the one, Ongaria would be the only one running so I am guessing everything was fine on the island and it was a busy one.  Also I almost forgot the Jays were playing and winning and the dome still closed as they have been doing work to the dome so they haven't had it open yet but I think they said sometime in early June.  It was a fun day and looked forward to Toronto with Eric, so day 2 of being in Toronto is today and will have a blog about it tomorrow. Also Tuesday, I want to talk about the Raptors winning the Eastern Conference Finals and now moving on to the NBA Finals for the first time in the history of the Franchise on Tuesday.

Toronto Trip (June 30th, 2018)

This was only planned a few days in advance and I was actually expecting to be in my studio working on Chris B On The Web and I knew with this being the long weekend, I made the executive decision to take the long weekend off from Saturday (yesterday) till tomorrow (Monday) so I will be only active on this blog ONLY for the next 24 hours or so while things here at the studio are very quiet and not much going on here till first thing on Tuesday morning. So I got to go into Toronto yesterday for the later half of the day into the evening in Toronto, with my dad obviously and I wasn't sure what we were going to do.

So we left around 2 pm EDT, we first stopped at the Catholic Book Store so I could actually get a new book cover for my church book as I lost which probably can be a throwback Thursday story for another day to tell you guys as it was an ridiculous story and totally my fault for not realizing to pick it up but I will tell you guys this on another day, another time. After that we went to Yorkdale mall to park and they told us no TTC parking like WTF... Where in the heck do we park? Like seriously! So we ended up driving up Allen Road North all the way to Finch Station and down. We got there, got on the subway and went down to North York Station and got off and visited Mel Lastman Square for a bit. Saw the fountain there and also they were also setting up for Canada Day Celebrations today as well.

Then we went to church via the 97 Young Street Bus down to Lawrence Avenue area. After mass we went down to the lake, had dinner, I had a polish sausage and a Gatorade  as well. While eating dinner, we actually heard a whistle, well I did and I knew it was the Trillium Ferry and it happened to run to the Islands and back but my dad thought it was only on a cruise but we decided to do the Ongaria ferry to Hanlans Point and back and they had 5 ferries, 1 on Wards, 2 on Center Island and 2 on Hanlan's Point as it was very busy at the island. We know next time to try and get the Trillium Ferry if we happen to hear it's 108 whistle go off again in the nearby future. Finally to end the day we had Gelato which is a less fattening version of ice cream but hey it was very tasty to have and I enjoy it.

Happy Canada Day To All The Canadian's out there!

What I Did On My Day Off Yesterday!

As you all know I was off yesterday, I just needed a break from it all, the stress with all the work load being piled up on me. So my dad, my niece and nephew which I approved them coming along, I wouldn't say no to them coming along with us any day of the week, so they came along as they had the day off of school due to a P.A. Day and we went to Toronto for the day. We took the GO Train into Toronto so it was easier to get home quite quickly and I will get into that shortly as something did happen on the way home. We got into Toronto, had a quick lunch at Subway, saw the Rogers Center dome opening for the baseball game little later on for the Blue Jays Vs The Orioles.

We got onto the Island we went to Centreville and went on a few rides, The Antique Cars which as you can see on the right side I wasn't driving, that was my nephew who was the driver as he was driving a little erratically but with me coaching him, he got better very quickly and is a great listener when I try to help him improve on things. But he did extremely well with the driving of an old antique car like this one. Also it was quite difficult to get my fat rear end into the seat of this car as it was a tight squeeze and hard also with my bad back as well. Also we went onto the Swan Ride and I steered the swam around with my niece. We then had ice cream and headed back to the ferry and we were on our way back home to Durham Region, Ontario and the next part of my day continues.

We got back home just for a minute for a pit stop break and we were back out the door to go to my brother and sister in Law's for dinner. We had veal Parmesan, Fucilli noodles with red or white sauce, also stuffed Portabello Mushrooms which I tried it even though I am not a big Mushroom fan but I loved it and I would eat it in the nearby future. I played Minecraft on the PS3 and I still totally do not like it on PS3 whatsoever because of the very slow moment in the game and my nephew Nathan's chest wasn't opening when I had it open before so something must of happened. I felt bad I lost my niece's horse she had and my nephews one fire aspect sword which I was ready to walk out the door but I didn't. I stayed and built my nephew a ice berg for his model Lego Titanic which mind you it took me a while to try and figure out the actual dynamics of building it out of Lego for him but he very much appreciated me doing that for him as well. That was my day, it was a busy day and I really enjoyed it but time to get back to work today and tomorrow, then planning one last day off then getting down to the nitty gritty of things!

Silent Lake/Haliburton Trip 2017

So back on Tuesday, I got to go up north and leave everything behind and not worry about anything here at the studio and it was a break to get my head back into game mode as Survivor: Heroes Vs Healers Vs Hustlers was a day away at the time this day trip was worth it and as you read on I will explain more.

My dad and I left around 10 am EST for those who aren't in the EST timezone but we headed up to Silent Lake Provincial Park with the only stop to fill up with gas and a stop at Country Style for a drink and a treat. We got there in pretty good timing it was about 45 mins from the coffee shop and gas station. We got our day pass and went to our old camp ground site # 127 which for many years we use to reserve each and every year not including one year where we were in a different campsite, if I remember correctly, campsite # 124. After that we went down to the water to the dock and our favorite rock we use to hang out on in the evenings.

Following that we went to our Rock for a quick swim and you probably thinking are you nuts Chris? No I did put my feet in the water at the dock and it was warmer then it would be in the summer, so yes it was cool but felt really nice and didn't take me long to put my full body in the water.  I found it hard to tread water as I forgot to bring the flippers I usually have when I go swimming, I didn't think about bringing them out then before or the night before the trip. However, I managed I had to go back to the edge if I needed to because I did struggle quite a lot of tread and probably because I haven't done that in about 4 years. Anyways we went to the day beach walked about for a few minutes and the day beach before we left to head south west down to Haliburton for lunch at Mckecks which is a gastro pub. In the way of the fall colors, it is starting to change, however the problem was because of the hot weather so that is what delayed the fall colors actually turning into the beautiful yellow, orange, red bright colors you normally see. I can say it now it has been a temper mental weather with the temperatures and rain we have had this summer and mother nature gave us a longer extended summer weather but the purpose of the trip was to see the color.

We traveled through some what of nice colors  on the windy roads of on our way to Haliburton not much to talk about but we saw some really old cars and I am talking about cars from the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's which was really cool. Once we got to Mckecks if you don't know who Walt McKechnie is he was a former Toronto Maple Leaf back in the day,. like in the 60's and 70's. Anyways I got a Cody Burger which consist of a hamburger, obviously, peameal bacon, lettuce, onions and tomato, but I gave my tomato to my dad as I am not a big tomato fan but i will eat it but not too often. We then traveled home and I was tired as heck and slept pretty good until obviously as you know I am writing this in the middle of the night. Anyways I had a good time and I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and sorry for a very late post 3 or 4 days later after the trip. I will be posting up a second blog up later on.

Northern Ontario Day Trip, Day Off!

I enjoyed a day off from the real world, aka working on my website & podcasts and boy it was a fun trip we went back to our old Camping spot which is Silent Lake Provincial Park and also went to Halliburton as well which was a very nice change of scenery. I was completely stress free until I got home and found out a friend decided to deceive and stab me right in the back which is putting a bunch more of stress on me the night before the procedure and making my heart rate gone up a bunch at this moment. But the day was nice leaving at 945 am and back around 6 pm EST so it was almost a 6 hour day and boy I am tired but waiting to go to bed at 1030 maybe 11 pm so I can have a late night snack so I wont be hungry as much tomorrow as I will not be eating till tomorrow afternoon after my procedure. So first stop was at the Country Style, our usual hangout when we use to go up to Silent for Camping which was nice, had a raisin bran muffin for a snack as I didn't eat anything in the morning which is normal for me usual... haha! So we went back to our old campsite # 127, good memories by the way, I have nothing but amazing memories at that campsite and will always remember the good times I had.

We took a trip around our old loop and the know what use to be the first come first serve loop which has electrical and yurts in there as well. Also the 3rd loop in the Granite Ridge Campgrounds. Then we went through Pincer Bay and down to the lake and canoe rental place as well! We headed down to the beach and took some pictures and went to the rock which is I guess you would say closer to the Day Beach.

We headed to the rock and sat there for quite sometime and enjoyed it. Unfortunately we didn't bring out bathing suits and we wish we did, it was warm enough to swim in so we are bringing it for sure next time around. So after that we went to the day beach for a bit and seen the construction going on with their new cabins and showers being installed which look awesome! Same with the gatehouse being re built to the modern time era.

Then we got on our way and headed to Halliburton and saw so amazing colors our way there, picture below:

Now, when I arrived at Halliburton I went to Mckecks for a late lunch and I had a cheese burger with pickle and red onions and boy it was gooood! I put Mustard, Ketchup and Relish on and it tasted delicious! If you are in Haliburton Try it! tastes sooo good! Anyways this is a rather long and lengthy blog post but it was worth the post and to talk about my trip up north and I wanna thank you for reading this blog post and I will do another one tomorrow after the procedure at the hospital and wish me luck in the comments if you want to!
