The Shining Movie Review

I can say this, I've been wanting to do the review on this season for quite sometime now since the start of the year but kept putting it off week after week but now here it is the review for this movie. The Shining, I heard so much and looking at clips from the movie Psycho and I stumbled on the scene where Jack Nicolson says: "Heeeere's Johnny!" which if you didn't know that was ab-lib and wasn't suppose to actually be a part of this. I honestly felt confused at the start of the movie but as it went on it all made sense, as the movie progressed, it became all clear that Jack Nicolson's character, Jack Torrance. Ironic they kept his first name technically. Anyways as the movie went on, I noticed he got a little more crazier up to the part I mentioned earlier the "Heeere's Johnny!" scene which now to this very day is an iconic scene from the movie.

I can imagine how heavy the axe was carrying it upstairs. What I remember he was a writer and was writing a book during the movie. Jack Nicolson is an amazing actor and he fit the role very well in this movie. Was the first movie I saw with him in it. Anyways I loved the movie and it was an really good movie and I'd watch it again in the very nearby future. This movie gets an easy 10 out of 10. This movie easily goes on my top 10 Horror Movies of the 1980's along with Friday The 13th. I highly recommend this movie for you guys to see if you are an horror movie fan and haven't seen this movie yet. Of course you guys more then likely have but just saying if you haven't then watch it, lol. Anyways I am rambling. Next on my list is watching and finishing Friday The 13th which I'd like to review the movie on my list and probably do 3 movies in one post at a time and hopefully I can get it finished. Next week, I will be also reviewing Super Girl Seasons 4 & 5 at some point as well and I will be talking to you guys on tomorrow's post.

Watching a Few Different Shows

This weekend, I am going to be watching a show that is different and I have never seen before. It was recommended by my friend here and I will definitely give it a shot but of course if I do not like it or it is not my cup of tea, then I will not be watching it anymore but the show I am talking about is the show called Schooled. I do not really know what it is about honestly but it is always worth giving a shot. I am always good in that way to trying out new TV Shows, I may like it, I may not. I will have to wait and see what it is like. I am also started watching since last year Last Man Standing and so far I am liking it. Of course it is because Tim Allen is in it and there has been appearances in the past seasons with Patrica Richardson and one or two other cast member from the TV Show, Home Improvement from the 1990's sitcom. I think comedy's and some drama shows  are really more my type, not all. However I am excited to see Schooled when I have the time to watch it which more then likely tomorrow night as the Live feeds are going to be down tomorrow in the late afternoon into the evening so I will have time to see what it is like. I need to catch up on Last Man Standing as well but probably tomorrow I will have time for it.

Either way those are the two shows that I am currently am watching currently and I am enjoying at the moment and oh I almost forgot, I am also watching Live PD and really getting into the show now and boy I tell ya some people are not smart on that show. Really shows some of the people that do the craziest things. It is nice to have a couple of shows on the list for this season and never know I may add more down the road and I have one with Kevin Hart that I am planning to watch this summer called TKO with Kevin Hart so I am really am excited as I am starting to question the future of Big Brother US which I will be announcing something soon as I know if it is coming back or not but right now I cannot say much but another blog post for another day. I am sorry this is cutting it close to midnight but here is a late post. Tomorrow I will be back on track once again.

Favorite Movie Quotes...

Today's post is favorite movie quotes and I will be doing the ones that are appropriate and I always try to keep these appropriate as much as possible...  There are a bunch of quotes I can say on here and the first one is from Ace Ventura When Nature Calls: "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and You must be the Monopoly guy. Hey thanks for the free parking! The Next one is him singing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang while driving, ending up rolling his car upside down with someone else in the car. Also the whole pen is red but really is blue in the movie Liar, Liar.  Or also in Liar, Liar him speaking jibberish and mocking the other lawyer Dana... Ha-ha, I need to put that on this weekend while the live feeds are down for the next Power of Veto for Big Brother Canada. Anyways I am going to do one other Liar, Liar where he tells the person on the phone who needs legal to stop breaking the law with a curse word in there... LOL... Also from movie "The Mask" Look Ma! I'm Road Kill, Ha ha ha! Also Trains, Planes there is a couple of quotes I can say but the first one is Steve Martin dropping the f bomb at the car rental lady which she appears in Air Bud & Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Also John Candy saying "I Knew I Knew You!" with his infamous chuckle. Also Home Alone with "Fuller! Go Easy on The Pepsi!" Or in Home Alone 2 "Kevin! You Spent 967 dollars on Room Service!"

There you go with some of my favorite quotes that I have and I am sure there is more to quotes but like I say in many posts I cannot fit it all into the post but I enjoyed today's post and it sure made me laugh. While writing today's post, I stopped writing and I even looked at the quotes on YouTube and trust me I had a good laugh and I sure as heck can use a good laugh after a stressful start to my week but ending in a high note, which you will hear about on tomorrow's blog post as I have decided to give you guys the heads up now before tomorrow hits and I was originally planning a weight loss update but nothing to report back to you guys. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed today's post and what are you're favorite movie quotes? Let me know in the comments and I will speak to you guys again tomorrow morning.

Behind The Scenes In The Entertainment Industry! (YouTube)

Today I want to talk about Behind The Scenes in the entertainment industry. I am doing a 2 part blog post as I have been through different types of the entertainment industry online, YouTube which I will be talking about today and of course what I am doing in this current day, podcasting. Two different industries but excited to talk about both in this post and tomorrow's post as well.

YouTube, seems like something I haven't done in ages now. It has been almost 2 years since my last ever video I ever made. It was fun days to make videos and see the reaction from you guys was so amazing. For those who don't know, The Entertainment Man Talk Show ran a long time, about 6 years not including the hiatus that took place between Fall 2010 and Summer 2012. It was a very successful series but it got a little stale after a while as it the ideas started to go downhill and the views went downhill, it was clearly time for change and with the way YouTube was heading, it was a good move to get off the platform. However behind the scenes there are different parts, planning, getting ideas together, get a script or discussion topics to talk about and I introduced myself to cue cards and it became very effective. The next part was the filming. It could take up to 45 minutes to record depending on the episode and how long breaks were when I added in the chimerical breaks between segments. Now between the filming, I am putting fluids in my body to make sure my throat doesn't get dry and trust me I drink enough water during the shoot of a video. The way we had it setup we had the intro track which I can hear the theme in my head from time to time.  Now also between the filming I also gave, Eric, Dave, Brent, Larry instructions for the next segment, so I played the director role as well as the Exec Producer and Host I had tons of roles on the show besides the host. I pretty well did everything on the series. But the other team I had were my dream team back in the day, I had to also rely on them as well. Usually on set there was about 2 - 3 of us that did on the set related stuff. Now behind the scenes, it takes me hours to edit an episode of The Entertainment Man Talk Show I will usually wait till the next day to start editing but sometimes I start to edit right off the bat. But usually the next day when I was in the world of vlogging my life every single day.

That is what typically happens behind the scenes for the prep of an episode, on the day of filming and behind the scenes of the editing of an video. It was truly a lot of work to do behind the scenes but in the end it was worth all the hard work for people to see what think of the episode once it is posted up on YouTube. I truly did enjoy my time as a YouTube but I am now much happier as a Podcaster and I will be talking about it on Sunday's blog post.
