Post Studio Re-Opening...

For one the entire day went well minus a few hiccups as I wasn't use to another body in the studio technically. However that is not the point of this post. The point is after what happened and boy crap hit the fan royally with ChrisBOnTheWeb:

1) My Community Manager/Assistant quits on me and me hiring a new one right off the spot: which considering I was one lucky person to find her and she's not too far away if we need to meet up with one another which I am sure it will happen one day down the line. The one took something way out of context but it is what it is I am moving forward.

2) Tech Issues Galore: I try setting up Euro Truck Simulator and my computer freezes up. I tried streaming and just lag on my end so I ended up shouting and getting mad and I ended up doing the typical Chris fashion and ended up rage quitting and threatening to delete the CBOTW Studios channel which I won't cause it has Behind The Scenes on there that is going up Tuesday and Thursday of this week.

3) Podcasts.com going down: This is the icing on the cake of the weekend from hell. I was all ready for the premiere and everything and Podcasts.com goes down and was down well past 24 hours and this was pre-written Saturday night so who the heck knows if it is up Monday morning but soon as it is back episode that is missing will be uploaded immediately and hopefully this doesn't interfer with other upload days or I will be even more mad and yelling and probably cursing and threatening em like I did Saturday night that I'd pull the podcast off of there for good and move to Castbox which is an option I am thinking about as it may be the only choice at this point cause I am tired of the issues with this platform.

So post studio opening was rough but glad the actual day went fine. Just what happened after the fact that really peeved me right off and I just do not know what I wanna do with the podcast situation yet and I will probably have an announcement with the plan moving forward by Wednesday. That is my post, I will talk to you all tomorrow.

Platforms You Can Find The EM Podcast On!

I know it is currently still early stages for some of the platforms for the podcasts but this is the platforms you can hear the podcasts on and the ones I am waiting on to fix and get up. Hopefully by end of the week, I will have more of an update on it all. I know it's only a week old and were moving fast pace right now as we have replaced Everything About Reality TV and honestly haven't had time to process things much but sometimes I work well under a fast pace. Anyways here are the updates:

Podcast Accepted Onto The Platform:

Podcasts.com (Automatically as that is where the source of the RSS Feed): https://www.podcasts.com/the-em-podcast-f9465eb7d

Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/chrisbontheweb/the-entertainment-man-podcast

PlayerFM https://player.fm/series/the-entertainment-man-podcast

Spotify: http://open.spotify.com/show/5swewAezH9akLVMKIxOwpj

Platforms Still Waiting On:

ITunes: Having issues with login which I will explain on a podcast one day very soon!

TuneIn.com: No real issues, just waiting on being approved to be on TuneIn.com once again.

There is the list and I want to start small then grow on other platforms as I continue on growing on this podcast. I gotta start small then keep on growing. Now I did say I had a few issues with a couple of the platforms and I will be working on that this week. There is always tech issues when starting something new and I will be working on tweaking my sound this week and making the quality of the episodes even better. Also been thinking of bringing the podcast to Video but I just do not know about that really. I have my reasons behind that too. I will let you guys know by the end of the week if we are on other platforms and I have updated: https://www.chrisbontheweb.com/p/the-em-podcast.html with all the links as at the time when it went up yesterday, we were only on one platform but yesterday afternoon we started on more platforms. Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at anytime.

The Plan & Future of Chris B On The Web's Podcasts...

I hate to make this announcement but it has to be done and it is one of the hardest announcements to make at this time but it has to happen. As you know, the CBOTW Podcasts are on TuneIn.com, ITunes & Player FM and Podcasts.com is where the RSS Feed is from. Podcasts.com is the main feed which is fed to the other 4 platforms. So as you know by social media aka Twitter, I couldn't upload to Podcasts.com and frankly, I am was not one bit happy and it doesn't look good on me and for those who were on the platforms that were subscribed I feel bad for you guys not getting the CONTENT you wanna hear.

So what is the plan for the nearby future? Well with the website now not in limbo and I am on a more sturdy web builder for right now at least, till end of the year till i move to the more permanent home, this website will have to do for now and I don't mind it at all, whatsoever, it stalls the time from one site to another. But back to the talk about what if Podcasts.com goes down on me again in the nearby future where I cannot upload a podcast to their website. Well the plan is ChrisBOnTheWeb.com will always be the alternative website for the content and it is guaranteed of being up 24-7 and you guys can always check on there if you do not see a podcast up with podcasts.com, TuneIn, ITunes or Player FM. There is my website which is the heart and soul of CBOTW and always will be the heart and soul.

Please note that I did email Podcasts.com support right away to make them aware of the situation and that I couldn't and I am nothing but thankful for their quick and effective response to my email so things can be figured out and resolved quite quickly.  This is the plan for the future of CBOTW and I plan on changing things around so everything is still coming out as normal, but just will not be on the 4 platforms if I cannot upload it to the platform. So this is the move I am taking for right now, If I need to tweak in the nearby future I will be sure to let you guys know before anymore changes are made, it was quick on the spot this happened.

What Platforms Has My Podcast Been On?

I have been doing podcasts since September 2015, as you know my history of Everything About Reality TV starting on YouTube, now on Audio ONLY platforms and this is why I am writing today's blog post is to talk about platforms you can podcast on and which ones you should be on. Let me say this first, it doesn't matter what platform you are on, it is the platforms that works for you and I am going to talk about which ones I am on and why, but also the different platforms I have discovered over the course of the last year that you can get your podcast on.

Podcasts.com: The primary platform my podcast is on and it has been a great platform and if you need an RSS, this is a great platform to grow on and that's another blog post for another day talking about Growth. But when I moved over from Mixcloud due to the viewership on there wasn't overly the greatest and was hard to get a following on there that is why I chose podcasts.com and I think I found this site through Rob Has A Podcast (RHAP) if I remember correctly. I am still currently with them to this current time and loving how my podcast has grown so fast.

Stitcher: It was another great platform but the problem I did have with them and I am not putting them down and I think it was because of the growth of their website which does put a smile but if you want to grow you have to break the website, someway, somehow. I know that with my own website. But after 4 - 6 months I started to grow on there but the problem was the feed wasn't updating or took over 2 hours for a 30 min - 45 min podcast, but they told me it was their site is growing which is a great thing. I will be forever grateful for them allowing me on their website as a start to my podcasting career so I am very humble for the opportunity there.

TuneIn.com: Tunein, I absolutely love TuneIn.com, been a great experience and I have grown on there with currently 8 favorites and Tunein is a huge for Radio Stations & Podcasts, even local stations here, Toronto and all over Canada and the world. So it is worth it to get onto TuneIn if you want to grow.

Player FM: Player FM is one of my favorite platforms as currently I am featured with them under Reality TV Round-Up which is very cool and I proud of actually being recognized for the hard work I have done in the last year. You can now say I am among the other great podcasters out there like RHAP (Rob Has A Podcast)

ITunes: Was great to be on one of the bigger platforms once again, but again I had some technical issues with it but a lot of the views I'm sure came from there, but obviously as you know I had to pull out of there, however I may return there in the near future but highly recommend it if you wanna grow as a podcast.

So which one's do I recommend to use? Well it depends which platform or platforms you wanna be on and are doing well on, so it has to do with the podcast individual or individuals choice of preference  and I am only giving my opinion on the ones I have been with but these are the main ones I am or was involved with in the past.

So Many Problems I Can Take Right Now!

Right now I am showing my frustration of waiting almost 2 hours for a post to come up on Stitcher and this has happened today once again after I posted the BB19 the other day and it never showed and I started to feel discouraged that I am not going very far even though the stats on Stitcher have been better then usual and been getting views from the Stitcher platform but what bothers me the length of it what it takes for the podcast to show up, usually the longest is an hour, an hour and a half which is fine with me but 2 hours or more or for it to not show up. This is not the first time I have had this issue and this time I had to really think about the future of Everything About Reality TV and I know Justin Milner my former Staff member kind of mentioned to me about leaving Stitcher few months back and with great sadness I am announcing in this blog post I am leaving Stitcher after 9 months of being with their amazing platform and it was the toughest decision I have yet to made within the last year well 2nd toughest decision to me letting go my entire team so I can go more on a solo project but sometimes you gotta let go and that is what I did in this instance.

I am not saying I am not happy, I was kind of more frustrated by the situation, however I am humble to be a part of the platform for the length that I have lasted with them. I am not only Humble but proud to be part of the platform and was a great starter for me and my podcast. It does stinks I am leaving when I started to get more traffic on it but I will try and explain it on the next podcast as best as I can. Like the saying goes, one door closes and not being on Stitcher doesn't mean Everything About Reality TV isn't done, because it isn't, the podcast is still on ChrisBOnTheWeb.com, Podcasts.com, TuneIn.com & of course on ITunes. So the podcast is still out there and losing out on a partnership isn't the end of the world, these small setbacks happens and I know I will continue to succeed in the podcast even on my own website, podcasts.com, TuneIn & ITunes. Getting onto ITunes came at the right time to help the podcast out even with the recent departure on one platform, I am on another one. Stitcher was a great start for me and I will never forget this experience and cannot thank Stitcher Staff enough for everything, their love and support throughout the last 9 months. I may be a bit a pain in emails but they know I want nothing but the best for Everything About Reality TV and for it to be successful. In conclusion of tonight's rather late blog post, change sometimes is good and I think this change will be really good for the podcast and if I ever want to return to Stitcher I can in the near future and let em know I would like my feed back I can always request it in the nearby future.

Have a Great Night!

Chris
