Emergency Podcast this week [The CBOTW Show- Reality TV Recaps]

Well something is indeed up as Chris has called for a special podcast this week at some point Thursday at some point once the Media Upfront are completed in Toronto and if there is anything to report on Big Brother US and the mysterious cryptic messages they have been putting on the internet makes us wonder if the conclusion of Big Brother 28, something encrypted is happening that Big Brother might be on one of our other channels out there here in Canada.

However it is all rumors and speculations right now and Chris & Eric will probably be on text and calls all day long mostly text but if something comes up, you know Chris or Chris & Eric will be doing a podcast. I found out that after a bit of  research it will be a few years as their changes things around which sounds like a reboot is possible. But Chris and Eric are keeping an eye out and anything happens they will be jumping on or at least Chris will pop on.

Talk soon,

Sammi

Website problems are persistent!

I have tried time and time again with this website and the newsletter pop up is being so dumb. It doesn't pop up for me whatsoever minus mobile it works which is odd. Maybe I need to clear out my cache perhaps and could trigger it or something on our browsers here in studio. However I found a little loophole to it working again if you clean out your cookies or cache it resets it which is really, really strange to be honest.

We're not sure why it works like that and sounds browser related but who knows honestly. I just find it funny and also strange that it does that to us. It has been an ongoing and I've changed a few settings still persistent so I do not have the answers but I will test a couple of things out but pretty sure its something to do with my own browsers as I have heard it works well for you guys so I busted something on my own browser haha. Anyways as always I will talk to you all tomorrow.

Gaming Updates [Yet Again!]

Fortnite I was back on playing Lego Fortnite and back at it when it comes to the game and now I have started the Ninjango part and progressing very good and with the help of my new friend and fellow Twitch streamer and gamer Carlos which we ended up streaming for 5 and a half hours.

Minecraft I finished up the first rink and got it ready for the fall so I can start the finishing work on the second rink which I have started to second guessing the rink and consider taking down the second level of the first rink as the new rink is now Rink # 1. Gym Simulator there is one thing to do is beat someone at weight lifting. I find it a very glitchy game still and a lot of bugs in the game. Pumping Simulator 2 I am progressing and earning money but still a lot of work ahead of me. Anyways those are the updates, have a good weekend and as always talk to you all on Monday.

Made Some Decisions with The CBOTW Show!

As Director of Content, my responsibilities are the content that you find on this website and I have had time since Survivor ended and the decision has been made, The CBOTW Show will remain as Video and Audio ONLY Podcast which is practically untouched it is staying put as we have it at the moment.

However The CBOTW Show- Reality TV Recaps, since YouTube failed time and time again and the fact the matter is I've been stressed out royally, jeopardizing my mental health for you guys, but the decison I have made is to keep the Reality TV Recaps Audio ONLY moving forward and I believe that is the best move for us and the second podcast feed. Anyways I wanted to give you guys the heads up and as always talk to you all tomorrow.

Working on a Chatroom for the Website?

Yes! It's a work in progress right now, I am only allowed so much time and convos to working on the chat but on the right is what I've been working on and it's been fun to tell AI what I want and it is coming along to exactly what I want and this more than likely it will take me some time to create the chat and code and put it all together but I love the layout and the look. It's not been that hard actually especially using AI.

This probably will replace our Discord server as I am planning to do away with Discord Server and we will be basically based off the website here all together. The future is looking bright and I look forward to moving entirely onto our website and basically have it based off our website down the road which is awesome and exciting. Anyways we will let you guys know when we are ready to release the chat on our website and as always I will talk to you all tomorrow.

Going to Update the Merch Store...

In the next update I do which won't be long as I will be back behind the keyboard coding together a form to sign up to become a host on The CBOTW Show either feed so that is the first phase then I will be updating the merch store with more items and maybe some more summery items as Summer is approaching us quickly so we want to try and include summer items and the same when the seasons change, we can readjust as we go on.

This should be a quick update and any ideas please let me know especially in the comments below and let's come up with some ideas for the website's merch. I plan on giving a discount on the summer items for the first week or two so anyone can get it and I know it's quite steep price but if you realize the shipping is the biggest pain but hope to make a few sales off the merch. Anyways that is the post for today and as always talk to you all tomorrow.

Changing Everything Around... No more CEO Role! [For Now!]

For now there will be no more CEO, I really need to start making better decisions for the future and this is just the start. I do not know why I am insulted left and right especially by now former members of the staff but my decision making hasn't been good lately not just professionally but also personal life as well. As you may not know, Sadie has been working with me also even prior to our CEO leaving as an assistant and has done fantastic work. We
have laughed so much and have been joking around a lot. I feel good around her.

You never know, she could be the new CEO but for now she works as the Community Manager and you will see her around Social Media, Discord and what not. Hopefully this is a fresh start and hoping she will be around the company for years to come as we continue to progress with this company and grow the community as a whole. Anyways that is the post for today and as always talk to you all tomorrow!

Merch is here!

The title doesn't lie! You guys have asked, begged, plead for merch and we are making it happen! This is why we have made the move. Now it will take a bit of time to come up with designs. This is very exciting and we can also embed it onto our website here on www.chrisbontheweb.com and exactly what we are planning to do.

It is a very exciting moment for us to add onto our website a merch page officially. However, we now have merch and we are allowed up to have 15 and I don't think it's 15 right now 7 items as of right now but I plan on adding in more stuff and any suggestions please do not hesitate to contact us. This is thanks to all of you for the suggestions and idea, keep them coming! I will talk to you guys on stream @ 1 pm EST for the weekly social media stream and as always I will talk to you all back here on Monday.

Loving the Direction the Company is Going!

Now that I am no longer CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and Sammi is now at the helm and I have to admit she has done an amazing job in 2.5 months she has been with the company and the guidance she has given we as we have made a bunch of changes, i.e Entertainment Man Podcast and After Hours being axed as they are ran by the parent company that produce and host the episodes. I think and we know it was the right decisions.

This is why I love the direction of the company is going and it has shown with the necessary changes we are thriving with everything and we can tell but our numbers and stats have really shown that you guys are very happy with the changes and this is why I am going to be adding one more thing to the world wide web a second website dedicated to The CBOTW Show so more on that tomorrow but loving everything that's happened so far and excited for the future. It has been overwhelming with so many blog posts we are going to utilize

I Was Given Some Solid Advice!

On the weekend, I was given some really great advice:

1) My business cards which is very outdated now, I am not going to be using anymore as it's out of date so it is time to ditch them but I am appreciative my family getting them for me though. I am taking things to an entire whole new level.

2) Will be wearing my landyard more which has a barcode and is very active! It will be easier for you guys to scan and go directly to the website. However that is not all.

3) I mentioned flyers and it has been on my long list of things to do and get photocopied over there at Staples and more than likely, I will be there on Thursday as long as the weather remains fair and dry.

4) Other part that Ani from Bar Burrito kind of the reason why but he suggested to embed the YouTube Links but we will continue on with Spotify, ITunes, etc just to help grow the podcast. Wish there was a way to embed both but I have no clue how I could do that though.

Anyways solid advice and we have been implementing a lot of this already and still not done yet with the YouTube side of things but that will be coming eventually. Right now I need to focus on this week and next week for those but as always I will talk to you all tomorrow.

Bar Burrito Review [King Street East Location]

On the weekend, I got to go for lunch with my nephew at Bar Burrito and he had a burrito and I have some tacos. We got chatting with the staff there Ani and he has given me some very valuable advice with the company and Sammi and I have been implementing this and I will talk further about this tomorrow but the the friendliness of the staff was impecable meaning, fantastic! I even admitted I enjoy the tacos there compare to another franchise that ends with "Bell" but still good but it is the freshness at 1303 King St E, Oshawa, ON. I highly recommend them 100% percent.

On top of the tacos, I got some tortilla chips which I am definitely a fan of them with some salsa (mild) it is amazing! I love tortilla chips with salsa and more of a healthier approach. Anyways I wouldn't just give the food a 10 out of 10 but here is my breakdown of the visit:

10 out of 5- food

10 out of 5- service

10 out of 5- staff

10 out of 5- helpful

There is my wonderful experience and you guys know I will be back for another blog post.

Behind the Mic: Why Every Podcaster Needs Clean Air Ducts for Perfect Vocal Health

Introduction

The modern podcasting landscape demands absolute perfection from your audio setup. Most creators spend thousands of dollars on dynamic microphones, acoustic foam panels, soundproof curtains, and high-end audio interfaces to capture the perfect sound. You focus intensely on treating your studio room to eliminate echo and ambient noise, yet a hidden threat silently undermines your performance from above. Indoor air quality remains one of the most overlooked variables in the entire digital media industry. Your studio environment directly impacts your physical instrument, which is your voice, every single time you hit the record button.

When you spend hours speaking in an enclosed space, you breathe in whatever is circulating through your ventilation system. Dusty air ducts act as a reservoir for invisible particles that compromise your throat, vocal cords, and lungs. This comprehensive guide explores why maintaining clean air ducts is a vital business investment for serious podcasters. We will examine the physiological mechanics of your voice and how hidden airborne irritants degrade your recordings. By addressing the root cause of vocal fatigue and equipment damage, you can protect your health and significantly elevate your production value.

The Invisible Threat to Creative Vocal Performance

Your vocal cords are highly sensitive mucosal tissues that require constant, pristine hydration to vibrate efficiently and create a resonant tone. When your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system blows air through contaminated ductwork, it distributes a cocktail of microscopic debris. This debris includes fine dust, pollen, pet dander, drywall particulate, and sometimes microscopic mold spores. As you speak passionately during a long interview, your respiration rate increases, causing you to inhale these airborne irritants deeper into your respiratory tract. The body responds to these particles by producing excess mucus, which leads to immediate throat irritation and a constant urge to clear your throat.

For a podcaster, a raspy throat or an unexpected coughing fit can ruin a perfect take and add hours to your post-production editing workflow. Constant throat clearing causes the vocal folds to slam together with significant force, which creates physical trauma and leads to early vocal fatigue. You might notice that your voice loses its warm lower frequencies or becomes thin and strained after just thirty minutes of recording. This decline happens because your vocal folds are swelling in response to the poor air quality in your studio room. Clean air ducts ensure that the oxygen you breathe is completely free from the irritating particles that trigger these defense mechanisms.

How Air Quality Impacts Your Studio Audio Production

Beyond the physical strain on your body, poor indoor air quality introduces subtle, annoying audio artifacts that plague your final masters. When a speaker struggles with dry air and airborne dust, their mouth naturally produces less saliva, which creates a sticky environment inside the oral cavity. This condition results in highly noticeable mouth clicks, lip smacks, and wet popping sounds that high-fidelity condenser microphones capture with agonizing clarity. You then have to spend valuable time using specialized de-clicker plugins or manually drawing out individual audio anomalies during your editing sessions. Clean, properly humidified air promotes natural salivation, which naturally reduces these frustrating mouth noises without relying on digital manipulation.

Furthermore, heavy dust accumulation inside your air ducts often causes your HVAC system to work much harder to maintain a stable room temperature. This increased strain makes the ventilation registers rattle, hum, or produce a loud, low-frequency rushing sound that easily bypasss your microphone noise gate. In cities like air duct cleaning salt lake city, this issue becomes even more noticeable due to seasonal dust buildup. If you turn off the climate control system entirely to keep the room quiet, your studio quickly becomes hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable. This stuffiness degrades your cognitive focus and sours your on-camera energy. Clean ductwork ensures optimal, whisper-quiet airflow, allowing you to run your climate control system safely during long recording sessions without introducing unwanted background noise.Protecting Expensive Recording Equipment from Dust Accumulation

Your voice is your primary tool, but your technological infrastructure represents a massive financial investment that also deserves rigorous environmental protection. Microphones, computer towers, mixing consoles, and outboard preamps are highly vulnerable to the fine dust particles that erupt from dirty ventilation systems. Condenser microphones utilize a incredibly thin, electrically charged diaphragm to capture the subtle nuances of your voice with high precision. When dust settles on this delicate component, it alters the mass of the diaphragm, which dampens the high-frequency response and makes your microphone sound muddy. Over time, moisture binds this dust to the capsule, which can cause permanent capsule contamination and costly repair bills.

Similarly, your studio computer relies on high-speed cooling fans to pull air through the chassis and keep the processor running smoothly during heavy rendering tasks. If your studio air is thick with dust from unmaintained ducts, your computer vents will quickly clog, causing internal temperatures to skyrocket. This thermal stress forces your processor to throttle its performance, which leads to dropped frames, software crashes, and shortened component lifespans. Additionally, excessive dust buildup inside a computer case creates a persistent fan whine that your microphone will easily pick up. Keeping your air ducts clean safeguards your hardware, extends its operational life, and maintains a quiet technical environment.

Practical Maintenance Steps for High-Quality Podcast Studios

Achieving pristine air quality in your recording space requires a proactive strategy that combines professional system maintenance with daily studio habits. The most important step is to schedule a comprehensive, professional air duct cleaning service to clear out years of accumulated debris. Professional technicians use specialized truck-mounted vacuums and rotary brushes to safely dislodge packed dust from every corner of your ventilation network. Once the main ductwork is entirely clean, you must replace your standard fiberglass HVAC filters with high-efficiency particulate air filters, which are commonly known as HEPA filters. These advanced filters capture microscopic allergens before they ever have a chance to enter your breathing zone.

In addition to maintaining your main system, placing a standalone air purifier directly inside your studio room provides an extra layer of defense. Choose a purifier that features a true HEPA filter and an activated carbon layer to eliminate ambient odors alongside physical dust particles. Make sure to run the purifier on its highest setting for an hour before your session, then switch it to its lowest, silent mode while you record. Regularly wipe down all hard surfaces in your studio with a damp microfiber cloth to prevent settled dust from becoming airborne again. This disciplined routine keeps your recording environment immaculate, your gear spotless, and your voice performing at its absolute peak level.

Conclusion

Your podcasting success relies entirely on your ability to deliver a captivating, professional, and comfortable listening experience for your audience. While you cannot control how listeners consume your content, you possess total authority over the environment where your creative work is born. Neglecting your air ducts creates an invisible barrier to your vocal potential, which damages your physical health, your audio quality, and your expensive studio gear. Investing in clean air and proper ventilation maintenance is just as important as choosing the right microphone or room treatment. It is a fundamental commitment to your longevity as a professional digital creator.

Do not allow poor indoor air quality to stifle your creative energy, strain your vocal cords, or add unnecessary hours to your editing workflow. Take a moment today to inspect your studio vents, check your system filters, and contact a certified air duct cleaning specialist in your local area. By clearing out the hidden dust and debris lurking in your ceiling, you protect your primary instrument and ensure your voice sounds flawless. Your audience deserves to hear you at your absolute best, so breathe clean air, protect your health, and keep creating amazing content.
