10 Years, missing Blog & Podcast

We're sorry for the no blog and podcast yesterday. Chris was extremely busy getting ready for the 10th Anniversary so the episode that was suppose to be up yesterday will be up a week Sunday as he has something special planned for the 10th anniversary of the company. It is on our long list of things we want to release soon.

10 years, it is a great honour and privilege to be a part of this amazing company and also community. Especially to serve as the second ever CEO (Chief Operating Officer) in this history of the company. I wasn't expecting to be elevated this high rank in the company this soon as I was only a few days in. I am glad to be a part of this community and to be part of the history of this team. I wish our team and company many more years of success. I will chat with you guys tomorrow for the end of the week updates.

I Almost Made The Biggest Mistake of my Life!

I almost made the worst decision of my life. I talked our new CEO into closing ChrisBOnTheWeb Media all together. I know she asked me if I was sure on this decision. I was pretty much ready to separate the podcasts from the company which probably would of done a lot of damage to the website in viewership and it's about the views and the clicks, that's how we earn money from ChrisBOnTheWeb.com. It would of been very detrimental to the site and the website would really look empty without the podcasts.

Of course with one of these stories comes a lesson. The lesson of the week is to think before you act. Make sure you are 100% sure that you want to stop doing something like we have been doing for practically the last 10 years now. Also I want to add and you guys have heard me talk about this on "Entertainment Man" in the past about weighing your pros and cons and quite a lot! I always reference an old episode of the podcast or even a blog post right here on chrisbontheweb.com. My takeaway from all of this is to think it through before I act upon it and always weigh my pros and cons. I hope you guys learned something from this story and as always I will talk to you all tomorrow for another blog post.

Rising Strong: Embracing Challenges as Catalysts for Positive Change

Facing challenges can feel daunting, but each obstacle brings with it an opportunity for personal growth and positive transformation. When we confront difficulties head-on, we’re often pushed to develop new skills, gain resilience, and deepen our self-understanding. These experiences, while tough, can be pivotal moments that shift our perspectives, strengthen our resolve, and reveal untapped potential. Embracing challenges as part of our journey empowers us to grow beyond our comfort zones and become more adaptable, self-assured individuals.

Develop Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is a vital skill that helps you understand your own emotions and those of others, which is essential when facing personal challenges. It enables you to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively, fostering more constructive interactions and reducing conflicts. By enhancing your emotional intelligence, you improve self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, and relationship management. This skill set allows you to navigate complex emotional landscapes, leading to more effective problem-solving and decision-making.

Boost Your Problem-Solving Through Adaptability

Cultivating adaptability skills significantly enhances your ability to tackle problems, leading to notable personal and professional growth. Embracing adaptability means adjusting your approach to problem-solving, which is crucial given the ever-changing nature of challenges in the workplace. This flexibility allows you to employ various strategies and tools, enabling you to devise multiple solutions and assess their viability effectively. By honing these skills, you increase your value as an employee and open doors to career advancement.

Transform Your Trajectory with an Online Degree

Going back to school can be a transformative step if you’ve lost your job or feel unfulfilled in your current career. Online degree programs make it easy to earn your degree while still working full-time or managing family obligations, providing the flexibility needed to pursue education at your own pace. If you’re considering a Master's degree in nursing, for instance, this credential opens doors to specialized career paths such as nurse education, informatics, nurse administration, or advanced practice nursing options. You should check this out if you’re ready to pursue a challenge that aligns your skills with a more satisfying, purposeful career trajectory.

Engage in Self-Reflection

Engaging in self-reflection allows you to identify your personal strengths and weaknesses, serving as a helpful guide when navigating life’s challenges. By regularly examining your thoughts, emotions, and actions, you can uncover patterns that may be hindering your progress and identify areas ripe for improvement. This enhances your decision-making abilities and fosters greater empathy and understanding in your interactions with others.

Engage with a Growth Mindset

Embracing a growth mindset helps you to perceive challenges not as obstacles but as valuable opportunities for learning and development. This perspective encourages you to believe that your fundamental abilities can be enhanced through dedication and effort. It shifts your focus from fear of failure to excitement about potential growth, empowering you to take calculated risks that lead to meaningful progress. With this mindset, you become more open to feedback and willing to tackle new challenges, significantly boosting your career by helping you acquire new skills and adapt to changing environments.

Set Clear Goals for Growth

When you set clear goals, you create a destination that focuses your effort through life’s challenges, providing a structured path to follow. This clarity empowers you to make informed decisions, enhancing your ability to overcome obstacles. By breaking down large ambitions into smaller, manageable pieces, you reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed and increase your chances of success.

Cultivate Empathy Through Perspective

When you face and overcome challenges, you often gain a deeper understanding of diverse perspectives, which enhances your empathy. By actively engaging unfamiliar points of view, you improve your communication skills and establish a common ground for meaningful interactions. This process helps reduce biased thinking and fosters a more accurate assessment of how to connect with individuals from different backgrounds.

Facing life’s challenges head-on can lead to profound personal transformation. By developing skills such as emotional intelligence, adaptability, and self-reflection, you can approach life’s complexities with confidence and clarity. Setting clear goals and adopting a growth mindset further empower you to turn obstacles into stepping stones, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling and successful life.

End of The Week Updates [11-09-2024]

As we are getting closer to the end of the year, Chris wants to finish up as much as the website work as he can. He has decided to keep the pictures up and is planning in December to update it with recent photos from the past year before it's put into archives at the end of the year and the 10th anniversary tab will be gone in 2025. Entertainment Man Podcast continues to be posted on Audio as you guys know YouTube is not an option for us anymore due to Chris being harassed. I mean he works long hours, even not as CEO anymore. I give him credit when credit is due and that is now. Back to "Entertainment Man" right now it is on other platforms, iTunes, he has to work on bringing it back to Spotify as they removed it for some strange reason.

I think hes gonna check both podcasts and see and maybe switch out the accounts perhaps for it but we'll see. Website and podcasts updates are coming next week possibly Tuesday could be Wednesday depends if Castbox helps him fix the issues but next week is supposedly the last week for no The CBOTW Show. I've been made aware of a schedule changes for the podcast for 2025 which is a bit a wacky schedule and he's figuring it out. He's still messing with the scheduling and I do not know what he is thinking. Once we know exactly what he's thinking we will announce it to you guys and I think he will keep it as it is with the expansion of Entertainment Man Podcast once again. Anyways if we need to expand the schedule we can but enjoy the rest of your weekend and talk at the end of next week.

The Royal Winter Fair 2024!

I admit this wasn't the best Royal Winter Fair for me and not saying the event wasn't fun because it was a fun day out, it was me more distracted with my phone due to Discord always buzzing in my pocket. I still have my account. But anyways to The Royal Winter Fair, I tried this cheese bun that was shaped into a pretzel which I have never seen before, so good, soft and moist. I enjoyed every bite of it. Also tried some Salami dry one and some Prosciutto I think it was but really good. They had a lot of different business, teaching to cook, the Horse equipment shop for riders, honey (No bees this year) Not sure why there wasn't any bees. My dad's favorite coffee shop was there "The Wandering Bean" as we always make that Mr. Bean Reference.

We went in and out from the Horse show to the floor wandering around and about. We had the Hackney Horses, the 4 horse hitch, Jumping competition. Between that wondered the floors and funny I just realize this a few days later that there was no butter sculpting this year. Unless there was an area that we missed. That wasn't just not the only thing that was missing, no bees as they always had it on display. Anyways we went to see the moo cows, my nieces favorite and they were really, really busy. A lot of the cows were ready for milking and a lot of milking cows, some Guernsey's, some short milking horn. Also saw pigs and the baby piglets. Love them! Finally we went to the Horse Palace and by that time I was wiped. I haven't sleeping well and been non stop go go go! Anyways despite having my eyes on Discord and messages from the rest of the staff and feeling flustered over ChrisBOnTheWeb Media which I will talk about next week Monday or Tuesday about something I was going to do but glad I backed out on it. But anyways that is next week and that's the post for today, have a great weekend and talk to you all on Monday!

Website/YouTube Castrophe!

From leaving YouTube cause someone decided to troll me and insult me when I was minding my own business to the podcast pages and RSS Feeds so screwed up not posting. I can say it has been a catastrophe and as for The CBOTW Show not going up was cause something got all screwed up in the back end. So all podcasts.com feeds... Gone! I have already contacted Castbox to see if they can fix something so I can make another feed as there is nothing on that account whatsoever if they can reset it.

So the website looks a tad bare bones but I hope Entertainment Man Podcast page to be back by this weekend at the most and active and running again. I am waiting till the Castbox RSS Feed can happen again. However it will be back soon don't worry. I am on it all. Made a mistake splitting the CBOTW Show feeds into two so it is better off as it is for now. I hope within the next week, we can get back on track. I will have an announcement this afternoon about The CBOTW Show and where we stand with it returning. Anyways that is the post for today and I will talk to you all tomorrow for a special Friday post from me and Sara will be doing the end of the week updates on Saturday.

Website Updates!

We have been so busy with this very website, updating it, getting things back online due to some issues with one of our providers. However archive.org is back online so we have now lowered our amount of work that needs to be done on our website. Real only thing that needs to be done is something on the get involved. There hasn't been an update on our list of our phases as we have gone off our actual schedule but I can officially say we are back on track. Here is what is left to complete on the schedule:

Phase 4: Entertainment Man Page- Switch the audio only players to the ones from Podbean. Timeline: End of November

Phase 5: Put 10th anniversary into archives one Midnight hits. Timeline: Midnight January 1st, 2025.

Phase 6: Launch the get involved page for The CBOTW Show and get people involved with the team and community. Timeline: May 2025

We kind of got of sidetracked with changing players but it is for the better good of the project. Coming along slowly but surely and half to the full completion of the overhaul of the company's website. Anyways that is the blog for today and as always I will talk to you all tomorrow!
