Toronto Christmas Market 2023!

Monday, I got to go to the Toronto Christmas Market. It has been 4 years since my dad and I have been to the event so it most definitely felt good to have gone back to the event. There was a lot of vendors, soaps, Christmas Decorations, tarts, little cool nick knacks especially that it is the Christmas season now too. Lights are absolutely stunning this year. They had a ton of different vendors to many to even mention and they also had a candle and soap shop which smelled absolutely amazing.

It was cold out but wasn't that bad once we had something to eat which I will talk about and review tomorrow on the blog which is taking up a lot of my blog space for the week which is actually fantastic, more content the better. Anyways the lights were amazing as always I really enjoyed going back to the Toronto Christmas Market and will look forward to it again next year as this wraps up events for us for 2023. That's the post for today, I will talk to you all tomorrow for the food review.

Tyrone Parade of Lights 2023!

I will explain everything at 11 am what the heck happened with the blog yesterday that will be the first basic part of the end of the week updates! Anyways Wednesday day and a half ago I was at the Tyrone Parade of Lights. We visited Tyrone Mills and got ourselves a nice Apple Cider and a Coconut tart which was very, very delicious. I love anything Coconut and it was very delicious and enjoyed it but we ate it after the parade as we were busy with enjoying the floats going by us.

So we got out, I got to finish up the Apple Cider the parade started and it was pretty quick like a few minutes after we got outside of the mill which was awesome. I loved a lot of the changes the floats had this year and this year I think one or two floats were the same and actually a lot of different ones as well. We actually got to go look at them very close up to the tractors and went crazy on Instagram and tried to take some pics. I need to work on the bigger camera for night shots it's work in progress. However I enjoyed the parade as this was for the first time in 4 years that we have attended and look forward to the next one next year because I can tell you all it is on the schedule. Anyways that is the post and I will speak to All in 2 hours or less depending when you read this post.

Back @ The Royal Winter Fair This Week in 4 Years!

For the first time in 4 years, I will be returning to The Royal Winter Fair since November 2019 before the pandemic start. I know I've been on edge about going back and contracting COVID again but I will be wearing my mask and hope my dad does too just to be on the safe side as Toronto is where I got sick with it in the first place. However this is the first time for this event again and I have missed it dearly. I am so happy to be returning to the Royal again after a 4 year absence from it. I will have my phone and take a ton of pics of the show itself.

However, I will not be attending the horse show since there isn't one during the afternoon during the week and there use to be but not anymore. It would be late for us to get out of there and back home so it's definitely not worth it but if it was on a weekend... Most definitely yes. Always next year. However I'll be there taking notes and pictures to talk about my first time back at The Royal Winter Fair for the first time in 4 years. This has indeed been long overdo and excited for this week getting back into events locally and abroad meaning Toronto as I have two schedule. Anyways that is the post for today and as always I will speak to you all tomorrow!

Orono Fair 2023!

This weekend, I attended the Orono Fair 2023 for the second year in a row as before we miss two years due to COVID. Anyways, fantastic time with my dad. At the start we looked around the arena which mind you had no ice yet for the hockey season. Anyways, our local transit was there which I got some information on routes for the 507 route. They even had a Jenga game for the kids and that instantly brought back a lot of memories as a kid playing it. And yes I got a picture of me in front of the Zamboni in the arena, I had to!

Then we watched the Antique Tractor pull on the one side then we switched to the other side which was bad with the wasps around us constantly driving us insane. Then we grabbed food and watched some more tractor pull, followed by looking at the tractors on static display that has been or just sitting there. Looked around at the rides and activities and there is a board where you put a ball in and it goes to the top and goes down. Like a Plinko board from the Price is Right. Also the cows, sheep and pigs were there as well.  Cows were mooing at me I said something and the one mooed at me like it understood me. There was horses as well. Anyways we had a wonderful time and I hope you guys enjoyed reading this blog and I will speak to you all tomorrow.

Kars on King 2023

Yesterday, I went into the downtown for Kars on King. I am not sure if this is my second time and if I have been to the one last year and I could of with both my parents. Anyways, one of my cars that I saw is the Austin Mini aka the Mr. Bean car. One of my personal favourites actually. Saw a lot of different varieties of cars at Kars on King. I actually ran into friends of mine that I have been friends with for many many years now. Also my aunt and uncle we bumped into on the other end of the downtown and another friend of mine that I didn't see but knew she was there.

Now there was entertainment obviously between one of the major roads there which is called the 4 corners which is truly what it is called. When we came back around to the main stage there it was an Elvis tribute by a gentleman and boy he sounded like him actually, exact same voice as Elvis... He was really, really good! As you guys know there is always 2 cars that I hope to see, actually scratch that 3: Lemon car (Edsel); Delorean car and the Mr Bean car, Austin Mini which I saw. I can officially say I saw at least 1 of the 3 yesterday night. Anyways that is the blog for today, enjoy the rest of your weekend and talk to you all Monday.

Peony Festival 2022

Saturday, I did a pop up event, well not a pop up event but I mean was the last second few days prior on the decision but glad I went, we had a wonderful time my dad and I. Anyways we got there and there was a ton of things to see, wasn't big big but big enough both outside and inside. There was a lot of local businesses, arts and craft, also some plants that we never heard of ever before. Of course there was the Peonies which were absolutely beautiful which I will provide a second picture below. Rows and rows of nice smelling Peonies in the garden there.

I have provided a picture of the Peonies which was taken from my Fujifilm camera. There are a ton of pictures which you can find on my Instagram account by clicking the arrows on that one picture as there are a bunch of pictures that I have added to the account. I didn't bother doing post after post as there were over 30 pictures taken during the event. Overall was a great day, the next one is the Fiesta Week next week with my dad and there will be a ton of reviews and next week I will be having blog topics at random for next week as I do not know what days I am going to the Fiesta Week but I will have a list of blogs in case at least 2 ready to go for next week in case but Thursday is a confirmed one. I will let you guys know by the end of the week but plenty of blogs this week to go, confirmation is coming this Friday at the end of the week but I will talk to you all tomorrow!

Christmas Market Is Happening This Year-- I'm Not Breaking My Word!

The title doesn't lie, I know the Christmas Market is happening, but I refuse to go as we're still in a pandemic and I am not about to risk myself getting sick. Not only that, I already told you guys that I wouldn't be going to events till next year and that promise will not be broken whatsoever. I have a plan and I honestly need to stick to the plan moving forward and I am not about to break the promise or my word. I do not care, I am not getting sick for anything, not risking my life and getting sick from a  pandemic. I know and realize that there will be restrictions and limitations at this event but still we have to travel from here to Toronto by train and back and I am nowhere near ready for that far of a journey. I really do not care about going to Toronto right now my health and safety is more important then some Market right now.

Remember what I said-- I would start with local events first in my region not Toronto right straight off the bat and I plan on keeping my word on that to be honest.  Why rock the boat at the moment? I just not feeling that ready to actually make this move, not right now/ I don't care if I am being called stubborn, I am doing what is best for me in the end. Like I said my health means more then anything in the world right now then going to Toronto. It will happen in the nearby future but not right now. That is all I have to say on this matter and it is too early to take the risk and rock the boat. We still have between 300 - 600 cases a day which is quite high and now it is not the time to play around like this. I will talk to you tomorrow for the end of the week updates.

Royal Winter Fair 2019- No Media Pass

Obviously this isn't the greatest news I wanted to give you guys but this year I am not getting a media pass as they didn't get back to me in time but also my fault for putting off getting the Royal Winter Fair planning and what day I was planning to go so it is majority of my own fault as I should of done this on September and is the best time to get my name in there. So there will be no be no blog post this year and it is unfortunate that I will not be doing a post for you guys this year. I feel so bad for you guys that I will not be releasing anything on here but I will still be going one way or another this year so I will not have my fancy badge on me saying im Media so this means I will be taking no notes whatsoever which is a disappointment honestly for me. However I will figure something out for next weekend and what to bring out. Next year I need to get ahead of myself and plan ahead especially for an event like this it does take a bit of planning to get myself ready for the event. So 2020 I am going to be changing things up and planning ahead and I am going to start working on the events list for 2020 this week at some point.

Like I said I will be there and taking a few selfies and pics here and there but not as many as I have in the past as I just do not want to get into too much trouble but you can expect a few pics on the Instagram page but again not too many with some of them on Instagram. So I apologize for the lateness of the post but there is no post this year and this is the first time in years I have not made a post about the Royal Winter Fair but there is always next year for me to do a post at next years Royal Winter Fair but excited to be just going for the fun of it and have no work involved this time around so that will be definitely a nice change but if you guys see me feel free to say hello cause you cannot miss me honestly haha! Either way I am excited to be going and getting away from my studio for the day.

Ukrainian and Polish Festival 2019!

Obviously there was no blog but I had no time when I woke up to write something small and when I got home I was so tired, I cleaned up and was in bed pretty fast and up bright and early this morning. Anyways this morning I want to talk about the Ukrainian and Polish Festival. I want to start off with the Ukrainian Festival which we went to after the disaster of transit issues which I will talk about on a separate post tomorrow which is a post on itself technically. Anyways we got there safely and we actually did make it a little later then we wanted technically but we did miss the parade this year which was definitely a disappointment however we saw a preview of some of the entertainment that we were going to see and we did see some entertainment on the other side of the event over at Runnymede Street in Toronto. Anyways there was tons of options for food, there was rides there for the kids, they had hats from all the different countries including Ukraine, Poland and so forth. Now food wise we had the 8 Perogi, I had the cheddar and potato and my dad had the Cottage Cheese and Potato. However next year I want to split things so this way I can try the other one. The perogies were good, super soft, delicious and the onions very nicely caramelized. However 2 issues with the Perogi Pavilion. First issue they forgot my water we had to remind them and the second part was they forgot the sour cream which we paid for so I was not pleased and I think next year we will go elsewhere for our food and I wasn't pleased with the mistakes made.

Now we traveled onto the Polish Festival and we actually were back on schedule which again I will talk about it tomorrow on the blog post about the mishap with the transit system as I said it is for a separate post tomorrow. So we got there and we walked down Roncesvalle which both Ukrainian and Polish were busy and I am happy to see quite the crowd and it is definitely getting busier each and every year that we are there. Always nice to see people indulging in the multi culture of the city of Toronto. So we walked around and we saw the donut place that we had dessert the one year yet we forgot to stop and get one again this year but always next year we will. I wanna have at least one dessert when it comes towards these festivals. We saw one stage with some Polka music playing and yes I almost wanted to dance but I didn't. Think I was in a bit of pain with my knee but the first real pain I've had in a while. Anyways we saw some more musicians under a tent followed by some dancing at the main stage. After that we had a beer at the beer tent which was a Polish Beer and my very first one ever. It was very smooth and it did leave an after taste but still good in the end. We continued to walk all the way down Roncesvalle to almost the end of the festival and headed back up. Finally we grabbed the first part of dinner which we split a Potato Pancake also known as Latke. We continued up further and we grabbed polish sausage on a bun which the bun was massive and funny fact that is the same place as last year so kind of funny in a way but worth it and we will be back in the very nearby future again as I took a picture of it to remind me where we were for the food. Overall the two festivals were really good minus those two issues at the Perogi Pavilion at the Ukrainian but overall still a fun filled day.

Oshawa Rib Fest and Food Review 2019

Yesterday I went to the Oshawa Rib Fest 2019 which I haven't been to in several years as it use to be around the long weekend aka the Labor Day Weekend. However with this change recently it makes it easier for us to decide to go to the event. Now we originally were going to go to two different places but with the amount of food we had we decided to not go for it this time around and I will get right into it as I go forward with this post today. So we went to Pistol Petes for the ribs which is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma USA. Now these ribs were not Pork ribs, these were actually Beef Ribs that we had. I admit it was my idea technically but was worth the idea. So like I said we were suppose to do two different places, however we ended up getting half a rack which was plenty enough for us to eat but we are going to change that next year and I will talk about it shortly.  Also on top of the half a rack we got a thing of beans on top of that. Now the ribs were tasty and fell apart as you bit into the ribs. Yes I know Beef ribs are more chewier then Pork ribs are but still very tasty. The sauce wasn't spicy and it almost had a bit of a sweet taste to it technically. Now I would definitely give the ribs a 5 out of 5 all day long. However the beans itself, I wasn't really keen on as I have never had beans with red peppers in it before. However the fact they also had kidney beans in it, still good, but it wasn't my favorite beans so I am going to be generous with this review an give it a 3 out of 5 as the beans were tender  and I liked the Kidney beans that were added into it.

After we ate we even grabbed a smoothie which was really good but it wasn't overly cool, not sure if they put in ice but it don't seem like it so again that would be a 3 out of 5 if I was to review it but it really isn't much of a review honestly. So we walked around after looked at what there was and there was entertainment which they were playing Elvis songs, "Jail House Rock" being one of them and also "Do You Love Me?" by the Contours originally and was featured on Dirty Dancing movie originally.  Also the Generals booth was also there as well probably promoting their upcoming season which I am going to be planning on several games this upcoming year. Overall the event was good however their was 2 more rib vendors 4 or 5 years ago then there was this year so I would give it a 4 out of 5 for the overall event and yes I am being quite generous actually.

Maple Festival 2019!

So I was back out and about once again to another event or function as this is now the start of the busy season for me has started. However like I said back in the beginning of the year, I did take some of the events out but that's not the point of this post. The point is I once again attended the Maple Festival 2019 locally here. I did manage to go last year and I know I missed the fall event in the little town. We were really surprised how busy the street was and last year at this time it was busy last year as well. So we arrived in Bowmanville and we started at the far end of the festival and we already pinpointed our lunch which was hot dogs and we always get one every year when we end up going to the event each and every year.

The next thing we saw was some entertainment by the former bank which is right now something else at the moment.  We saw Maple Syrup, Honey, fudge stands, a place you can measure yourself which I should of done it for the heck of it to see if I really shrunk that much at 33 years of age. LOL! Anyways they also had rides the Ferris wheel. Also had toffee and I believe they were giving small handouts of fudge and I just didn't get a chance to snatch one for myself or technically I could of shared it with my mom as she loves her fudge but we already know she has her fudge still from
what I gave her back at Easter time. We looked at Norm's Deli and busy as heck! Always nice to see the deli hustle and bustling with ton of people.

So also Tyrone Mills was there and you probably remember me doing a post about the Farmers Tractor Parade which I did not attend due to it being my birthday. They have their infamous donuts which is soooo good. They also have their really good tarts and also Apple Cider which they use to do right there at the Mill but they haven't done that in years but still very good cider one way or another. Also the fire department was there with one of their trucks for the kids. Finally I got to grab a cream horn which is a pastry with cream in it and I had it at Easter and it is really good! Also we grabbed some lunch and we had the dessert after to what we got from the coffee shop which is my dad's stomping grounds every Saturday mornings. Anyways it was a fun time and it was nice to be out of my stuffy studio after being stuck in for the past 10 weeks since Big Brother Canada began it's 7th season so I was able to get out of the studio for 2 hours.

I Got A Media Pass For The Royal Winter Fair

I just found out this week, I was accepted into getting a Media Pass so I can do my blogging around The Fair part of the Royal Winter Fair on November 3rd which gives me all the permission in the world to take as many pictures as I want. I have had the media pass before, 2014, 2017 & this year, 2018 so 3 times in almost 4 years since Chris B On The Web existed or began it's long journey to success as you now see it to this very day. I was worried when I got home from Minneapolis that I wouldn't be getting the pass at all as I was extremely late submitting my application for it, but it wasn't too late and hey I got the media pass and I worried over it for nothing, like honestly.  I seem to worry about the small things when it comes to these things and I'm sure if I was able to explain I would but I didn't have to, I guess applications can be in within October instead.

However I am very excited to be going to The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair 2018 and cannot wait to see both the show and the horse show and what amazing things are going to happen. I will be on and off Instagram and Twitter throughout the day and I will have my mobile battery charger for my phone with me in case of emergencies. I was suppose to have Dave come with me but that is all up in the air right now and I am feeling a bit nervous having him with me as he's not been through what I experienced so if he does come along for this adventure with me, then I will be giving him a crash course on this entire adventure and what to do and what pictures to take as for those who didn't know he was my camera man once upon a time so he has to learn what pictures I need so I guess direct him like I did when I was still on YouTube. Either way this will be a fun trip and day and looking forward to even sharing it with one of my former team members if he decides to come along for the trip, it will be once again another great year at The Royal Winter Fair!

Autism Celebration 2018

Last night I was at the Autism Celebration 2018. I found out that the event has been running for the past 7 years and I have been involved in 5 of the 7 as I missed 2015 (Due to work) & 2017, last year, due to, well err lack of funding for planning my booth. I went over my budget last year. LOL... However this year, I can say I budgeted for the event perfectly with no problems of being off budget like last year. As you know through social media I have been planning this for the past 4 months with blue printing what I wanna do and how I want to promote CBOTW. There was a few hiccups with the board but nobody noticed it whatsoever so that is good and I will not get into that. I left finish off the board till the last possible second which is the usual me but hey it got done.

I got at the event a little more perkier as I was moody like an hour and a half, but anyways, I ended setting up pretty quickly, was a bit all over the place trying to figure things out but managed to setup and got a chance to sit before the event started. We heard some singing and a story of a father and son biking trip which was very inspirational to me especially and inspired me with what I am doing and I got a planned blog post next week with the initial plan for CBOTW in 2019. Anyways, I got a slow down at my booth with people popping by my booth and I got to get up and wonder around and look at different booths around the floor which mind you, I never did that last year... err sorry I mean 2 years ago. It felt good to get up and mingle with other people. Now if Larry or Dave came with me, I could wonder around a lot more as I needed to keep an eye on it in case someone came by but that's OK, I can move quite quickly despite my ailing knee problem which I will talk about in a later post. One thing I loved about the event was all the questions and yes YouTube came up last night. Why? Well my podcast started on YouTube and then Audio as you now hear and see to this actual day.  After talking to my consultant at Kerry's Place I will be more involved with them as I have not been very active with them for the last several years minus the Autism Celebration each and every year. I saw familiar faces from last 2 years ago and always good to see new faces at the event each and every year.

Finally In want to once again thank the Kerry's Place Staff for having me and for everything they have done over the man years as I have been with em since 1996, so 22 years I have been with them and if it wasn't for the foundations program introducing me to this event, I do not know what I would of done with myself. It sure gets me out for the evening and I enjoyed myself like always and I sure as heck cannot wait for next year as I will be back bigger then ever at the next event.

Autism Celebration 2018 Event Set!

So I know you have been wondering and I will set all rumors to the side as it is true, I am planning to attend the autism celebration this year with Kerry's Place and I have known about this event date for the past week now and I just felt it wasn't the right time to talk about it and mention it but I am attending this year and I am excited to be returning again this year as I have been a regular to the event since the start minus 2015 and 2017 and yes I realize it is the odd years I didn't attend there. I have been planning and putting together my booth since end of June, early July and it has taken me major thinking and putting the ideas together. I have been working away for months on this project as as of last year I destroyed the board and the old board was falling apart after a while so I had to do it over from scratch again which is fine and it gives me the opportunity to actually re do it all and make it even better then it was.  I am ecstatic to be going into this event knowing that I have news to bring to everyone that I am going to be bringing a certain podcast live again down the road which I will talk about at a later time probably by the weekend at the most and it is thrilling news indefinitely!

The Autism Celebration will take place on Monday, October 15th, 2018 between 6 and 8 pm EST and I will be definitely on Instagram taking pictures of my booth and show you guys what I have been doing over the last 3 - 4 months now. Of course I will be also doing a blog post on here about it and will talk about my experience now that I have had time to re build the brand and fix up things and get what I wanna promote out there. One thing I can say is since CBOTW has rapidly growing on a regular basis and unfortunately I had to take the CICE Program off of the board and I know I will get some sort of hate for it as I have been promoting the program since the year I graduated from the program but I needed to make more room for my content but the program will always be near and dear to my heart as it is an experience I will never forget and I learned so much about media and also radio side of things especially as I was a part of Riot Radio for a couple of months and i learned so much and I am still connected with the former Program Director who taught me so much and I got so much better in front of the microphone and on camera. So anyways I am getting way off track right now. It is unfortunate I am not promoting it but as I got further into the event, it was starting to not be as popular as I promoted it but I may just incorporated it in my bio side of things in the nearby future, for next year's event as the bio is already done but I nowhere mentioned school. I may or could just re do the bio and re do the main flyer. Again, I am rambling. This is the week for final touches to the event and I staying up late tonight so I can get this done this week and filled up so I can add the Velcro to it, so it would stick to it. But Oct 15th is the date and looking forward to it and hearing people's feedback on the new and improved booth!

Autism Celebration Planning Event Update....

I know I actually mentioned the event in one of the blogs before and I actually do not have a date and I am worried it will end up Monday the 1st of October and I will not be able to attend as I will be returning home from Minnesota, but however I will act like the event is still a go for myself and Chris B On The Web but I cannot guaranteed anything if I end up getting a Oct 1st date, then all this planning for nothing. It is not my fault and these things happen but I am going to continue on to plan as usual and if worse comes to worse I will have a board for next year. The wedding is more important to go to as it is family and family does come first one way or another.

So I have come pretty far with planning, I got the flyers done and a few of the panels completed and I will be turning to my alumni Adviser this weekend see what he thinks of what I have done so far. I have gotten done the about Chris B On The Web, got past projects I have done both YouTube and Podcasts. I need to do a panel for Everything About Reality TV, bio. I also have to do an information panel on the collab podcasts as I have started to post up the collabs once a week at the most. The 3rd panel that is what I need to talk to Larry about as I have been promoting CICE Program for the past 6 years now and not sure if I want to continue to promote the program if I choose not to, then I am not sure what the heck I want to do with that 3rd panel. I need ideas and what could actually go on that panel if this is the route I plan on taking this year. I surely need to come up with a plan to what I would like to do, that's for sure... It is really hard to decide what is what this time around with limited help and I am the only one working on the board right now.

I am however, excited about attending the Autism Celebration this year as I took last year off and I am back, bigger and better then ever and got ideas in my head just unsure how things will look at this point but it will all slowly come together slowly but surely and I am planning to setup a table down here to start putting things together finally and get this board finished. Only real thing that will be updated for next year if the event is on the 1st is the banner and pictures I have on the board and maybe some of the information, event schedule as well. I am prepared for the worse in case worse does come to worse and hopefully this isn't the case this year as I really wanna attend this event really badly.

Volunteered With Kars On King!

There was a lot of reasons why I was absent from social media on Friday. I was volunteering my time at Kars on King, a local car show in the downtown core of the city I live in. Anyways it was a fun experience and got to meet so many new people which I think I truly do need to do that, meet new people and I think new friends is great to have. I obviously missed the training session due to mother nature deciding to pour rain on us and only way at the time was by bus at the moment. Anyways, I was filled in yesterday and my job was simple to be at one of the intersections letting the older cars in at the start and out as well. So many amazing cars I saw up in my end where I was posted for the entire shift and event. I also got to interact with the owners of the cars and was really cool. I was talking to an owner of a Mustang so amazing how powerful the engine was on the car. My dad even told me there was a Edsel car, the same one that always went to the Bowmanville but I was not in the right area for it but that's OK, I really did enjoy myself during the event.

Yes it was physical work moving the pylons back and forth but I am strong enough to pull em back and forth. I had a few complaints but it happens and I did a great job dealing with the situations. I also got to meet new people and by the end of the night, I ended up getting a new friend which really made me happy to meet new people and actually have a new friend which was so great. I also got to learn the radio (walkie talkies) terms and I actually problem solved during the event as we had a mishap with the radio as we were ended up on the wrong channel for at least 2 hours as it was really silent but we figured out it was on the wrong channel at the time. Also we problem solved with an oil spill and I ran back to the volunteer station to get pylons so I practiced safety measures and my motto is the patrons safety is our # 1 priority and we put the pylons by the spill this way people knew to go around the spill. The night went great and I think everything went smoothly and was an experience I will never forget and yes I'd consider doing it again next year.

My Thoughts About The 100th Episode of Everything About Reality TV Yesterday

I am making this blog post short today as I do not have much to say on this subject matter. However I am overwhelmed and speechless by the love and support I got on The Facebook Group, Twitter and Instagram. I definitely am finding this blog post hard to write this morning as I am still processing what went on yesterday.

Overall the organization was fair, I could of done better, when I said 1 pm, we were delayed till 145 - 2 pm EST, but I had to edit the podcast from the morning which is understandable editing takes time. I did however, made a mistake not publishing the website when I went back up to watch the Leafs game to relax after a very long day in the studio with Larry, which mind you it was well worth it. But not publishing the website was a mistake and a half as I am sure half of you wondered why I didn't post up, umm, I ended up passed out last night as I was really tired, sleep on and off during the night and staying up all day, I was ready to pass out quite quickly. I had the site updated, just it was saved to the point and waiting to be published but I did update it this morning when I pushed some updates to the website. I admit, that was my fault but hey I almost had a perfect day on being on schedule.

But enough of the negative aspects of the day, I wasn't expecting this to go as smoothly as I thought as I was pressured with getting Amazing Race recorded and leaving on time to catch my bus, however I got it done as I had to watch the episode as well in the morning. The editing process is a long process, however I don't mind the editing but hey, Larry got to learn how to edit a podcast which I am sure it was really cool for him to learn it.  As for the actually, I believe this 100th episode went better then I ever expected ever and I wasn't expecting the entire podcast to be this interactive, I wasn't expecting Larry to be this interactive and actually interact with me, yes I spoke what I had to say at time but he came in when i had a question with him and he replied quite a lot with the discussions which made the podcast more fun. Overall it was a fun day before, during and after the podcast I can't thank Larry enough for coming and being a part of the special day, after all he co-founded the podcast in 2015, he needs credit, when credit is due.

Ukrainian & Polish Festival 2017

I know I am late on blogs and right now due to my very hectic schedule and catching up on podcasts and I have decided that blog posts for right now will be sporadically until the website is back up and running and this is one of the toughest decisions I had to make with Chris B On The Web but it is what it is right now.

So with that now out of the way as you know I went to the Ukrainian and Polish Festival and it was so much fun to go to in the past, I had to return to it. One good thing about it is I didn't get pushed about like I did in the Greek Festival and people telling to move. We started at the Ukrainian Festival in the Bloor Village. Was a busy festival, more busier then it has been years ago when we were there the last time. The food was so amazing, had Chicken Shish Kebab, note it wasn't breaded like a normal Shish Kebab is, however it tasted sooo good, it practically fell apart and melted in my mouth, it was cooked perfect. On top of the chicken kebabs, I had perogies with potato and cheese and it was so good as well. My dad and I saw the parade which was part of the opening ceremonies of the festival, the outfits were so beautiful, the music I absolutely loved, I felt like I got a taste of what living in Ukraine is like.

After that we took a detour through my dad's old neighbor where he grew up as a kid as we had plenty of time to spare between festivals for travel time so we took a detour down to Roncesville. When we got there it was packed and different from years ago... We saw some awesome old cars, Oldsmobile, Mustang, you name it! We crossed the street into the festival and as we started heading south in the village of Roncesville and first thing that struck my attention was the Polish desserts and I haven't had a dessert in a long time, due to my on-going diet right now to get below 200 pounds and nowhere close, currently at 220 pounds at the moment. So my dad and I agreed to come back and grab a donut on our way to the streetcar and I will get to it shortly. We stopped at the first of 2 stages where a group playing polka music and also had people dancing and I was getting into the dancing mood with the polka music. We continue on walking at the festival and we stopped at the second stage they had set up at the festival which had more dancing and of course I took pictures during the festival. Just love the dancing in the festival and I would love to learn the dances as I absolutely love the music as well. My late Aunts Margaret and Maria are from Slovakia and my Aunt Maria told me she can walk into Poland as the town she is from is right at the border of Poland, I had to share that little story with you guys in today's blog. Finally we got to the end of the village and we went back up on the other side of the street and back up to grab some food.  What did we grab for an early dinner, well since we got perogies and kebabs my dad had a Polish sausage and Latke which a potato pancake is called in
Europe. Now you are going to ask me, how was it, it was delicious! It tasted so good, just like food you make at home from scratch... One thing I wish they had was mustard for the sausage but its OK, it was fine without the mustard, I cannot be picky. In conclusion I had a really good time and I was tired by the time I got home and I was ready to hit the hay by the time I was home. I again apologize for not posting up sooner, as you know I was trying to catch up on podcasts and of course my ailing chrisbontheweb.com needs major attention and repairs. I will be talking about it more later in a update blog post and the schedule for Everything About Reality TV. Speaking of that #EverythingAboutRealityTV is currently trending on Twitter which is amazing. But thank you for your patience during these hard rough patches Chris B Is Going Through and I will be posting up another one later.

Have a good night,

Chris

Kars On King Event 2017 Event, Downtown!

Yesterday I went to an amazing event that occurs in my downtown core of my home town each and every year on the last Friday of August, each and every year and its not just only in the downtown late afternoon on the Friday, it's down at the lake, however it does cost to go and see it down there, we usually chose to go to the Kars on King as it is a free event.

This year was a crazy year for the amount of cars they fit in a parking lot and on the main street and side streets, I didn't think they can fit that many in there but they did, I believe out of both my cell phone pictures and my camera which mind me the battery died towards the end as I was snapping so many pictures which is pretty crazy if you ask me. It was fun, ran into my former Staff David, his fiance, Kevin, an old friend who use to hang out with the gang at the table at the food court, was always wondering how he was doing all these years since I haven't seen him and of course someone tried to say hi but cause drama with me and the police were called which put me into a total mental break down but will not go into full on details or names will not be released either, but to try and talk to me months later after the events that took place, uh uh, not happening, not wanting anything to do with them as I cannot trust em.

Enough of the drama portion but I had a great time, CKDO which is our local Oldies station here in town was doing a remote show there which is really cool to see. Also the amount of people at the event was insane, its become such a popular event each year which is good its a good publicity for them and you never know brings in more people each and every year. Restaurants were getting good business and it was so nice to see such a hustle and bustle of a downtown. I also got to meet a friend of my dad's from the airport who is a pilot as he had his old Corvette there so was great to meet him as well. For those who don't know the downtown was pretty much dead back in  the 90's and early 2000's until our Mayor was not re-elected and a new Mayor was in power. So this was truly a nice change to see such a busy downtown and maybe the downtown need more of these things. My dad and I bused it downtown so this was no worries to find a parking spot but however getting out of the event by bus was not easy whatsoever as traffic on the one street  which mind me is a one way street and the traffic was so horrendous and was late due to the traffic and a majority of the eastbound buses were re routed around where the Generals Hockey play so it was not the greatest. Finally I know it isn't much about the event, I tried my hardest to talk about it but was fun and to leave you on tonight's blog post with a few pictures from the event:

Have a Great Night!

Event Change Announcement for October 2017- No Autism Celebration

Back over the weekend I had to make a tough decision with one of the events and as you know this year I have and been known for making some drastic changes with Chris B On The Web and no Justin leaving was just a conversation between him and I about what he can do to help the website and of course the conversation of him moving on in his life as he's been with me for 6 long years and I just couldn't come up with an idea what he could do and plus he's been so busy so it was both him and I decided for him to resign and I am so grateful for his time and efforts with the help even when I was still part of the YouTube community from 2006 - 2016, nearly 10 years on the platform. However he will be collaborating in a podcast in the New Year in a Off Season Podcast but that's not what this post is about.

The reason for today's post of the day is because  I wanna make this special announcement and more importantly an important announcement as it was the most difficult choice I had to make but due to recent events, I need to pull myself away, from the Autism Celebration. This is more then likely a permanent thing, I need to move on from this event even though I really enjoyed going each and every year but like the saying goes "All Great Things, Must Come To An End" and this is the point of time I need to move on and do what's best for me and also Chris B On The Web. One of the major concerns especially for going to this event was spending the money for lamination and also photocopies, ink and it all added up over the last 2 months and drained my money quite drastically so the big issue is affording to do all of this photocopying and laminating and also getting the display board which is like 25 dollars and it all adds up in the end and this year has been hard money wise and it isn't easy to be spending tons of money on an event, probably more then likely I will be working on information over the next year and hopefully next year I'd attend but this year I am giving up my spot to someone else because of some of those reasons, I have another reason but rather not go into great detail or bring it up as I am not feeling comfortable talking about it at this moment and rather not make my own problems public on here. I may go back, I may end up not going back depends how I feel but I feel like my time with that event has come to an end. I am forever grateful for this opportunity and glad one of the Kerry's Place Staff getting me involved with the event for several years and it has opened up so many great ideas but you never know in the nearby future if I will make a return or not just this year is not a great year for me as money is very limited with the purchase of a new studio mic. Hoping next year to attend but it totally depends how things are for me.

Have a great Wednesday!
