Kars on King 2024!
Last week I went to Kars on King, locally. I've been doing this for many, many years with both my dad and my mom, my niece and nephew. But anyways I got to go to the event and we actually had a lot of fun. Lots of cars but I was under a lot of pressure in time to get back to record with Mary but that was rescheduled to this week but it will be done. I noticed on the main road, King Street it was only on one side and it's because of the changes to the road and extra sidewalk on the one side but I love the layout of the street now. Makes the downtown more lively.
Of course the Mr. Bean car made an appearance and obviously you guys know by now I am a big Mr. Bean fan. No DeLorean this time around and it was a few years ago they had one there which was really cool to see. But also there was entertainment and the one band was playing "My Girl" by the Temptations. Anyways that will be a wrap for this blog and I will talk to you all this afternoon for a second post to make up for yesterday.

End of the Week Updates [08-23-2024]
So another crazy week. Yeah story of my life from stressing out to procrastinating and I need to really stop doing that honestly and get it all done ahead of schedule but don't worry I will have all 3 movies done for tonight plus attending Kars on King which it's that time again for the event and probably will be up Monday to talk about the event or even possibly a bonus blog tomorrow perhaps as well. We'll see how things are. Not sure what is on tap for tomorrow whether I'm heading north for the Motor Fest 2024.
Anyways got Kars on Kings that will be up tomorrow or Monday but I said Monday on my Instagram story so sticking to that day technically. So I know this was suppose to be up this morning but I got busy preparing for the collaboration with Mary which is postponed and will be rescheduled when she's free. Anyways I have a bit of an announcement The CBOTW Show will be returning next week on Audio ONLY. The collab with Mary we will be taking a week after recording to edit everything together so next week August 28th will be a new episode (Audio ONLY) and the 3 with Mary will be Video and Audio ONLY and probably till Larry returns we will start testing out video here and there with the podcast too. Anyways those are the updates and I'm sorry this is going up at midnight on a Saturday morning but Monday everything is going back to normal for podcasts and blogs, will make sure everything is out on time for once. Have a great weekend!

Events Are Staying The Same This Year!
I know there has been no news on the blog nor the website itself about events and with my dad's health I was holding back on the announcement. However with him recovered I am happy to say ALL Events are remaining the same this year for the most part with an addition and removal of 1 or 2:
May- Maple Festival in Bowmanville
June- Peony Festival, Oshawa
July- Canada Day (Returning since 2019?, TBD)
August- Rib Fest, Oshawa
Kars on King, Oshawa
September- Orono Fair
October- Apple Festival, Bowmanville
November- The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, Toronto
Tree Lighting and Merry Berry Market, Oshawa
December- Tyrone Parade of Lights 2024
Toronto Christmas Market 2024
The event that has been removed as it is not local it's in the north and little far to go is the Auto Fest which I was really devasted about but it is what it is, I have added in an event. Anyways that is the post for today, I will talk to you all tomorrow.

Kars on King & Auto Fest 2022!
As you guys know, I was at Kars on King and Auto Fest back on the weekend so this is a two part in one post for you guys. So first let's talk about Kars on King:
This is the first time for Kars on King and also Auto Fest. Kars on King was in the downtown of my hometown here and it was a lot of fun! A lot of cars there, some honourable mentions the Austin Mini aka Mr. Bean car. Also there was great music that was being played in the middle of the entire setup which was awesome. Was a nice way to spend the entire evening in the downtown with my parents as I went with both of them Friday evening. Our local station was there too and playing good tunes as well. We have a great time but was tired at the end of it. Now the next day, Saturday, my dad and I went down to the lake for Auto Fest which a lot of the cars were there from the previous night. Anyways it was a busy venue a lot of people there and always nice to see a ton of people. There was a ton of cars there this year and it seemed very endless. I saw a Studebaker car, saw a nice Thunderbird, Trans Am, Mr. Bean car was there from the previous night (lol), bunch of Beetles and much more. The one thing we did not see was an Edsel which I saw I think it was Thursday or Friday afternoon when I was out on my own on the bus, so I was a little disappointed by that but it is what it is. We had fun and to end the few hours we had together, we had some Poutine together which consists fries, cheese, cheese curds and gravy which is great and yes it is a Canadian thing actually. Anyways that is the post for today, I hope you guys enjoyed this and I will talk to you guys tomorrow!

Volunteered With Kars On King!
Yes it was physical work moving the pylons back and forth but I am strong enough to pull em back and forth. I had a few complaints but it happens and I did a great job dealing with the situations. I also got to meet new people and by the end of the night, I ended up getting a new friend which really made me happy to meet new people and actually have a new friend which was so great. I also got to learn the radio (walkie talkies) terms and I actually problem solved during the event as we had a mishap with the radio as we were ended up on the wrong channel for at least 2 hours as it was really silent but we figured out it was on the wrong channel at the time. Also we problem solved with an oil spill and I ran back to the volunteer station to get pylons so I practiced safety measures and my motto is the patrons safety is our # 1 priority and we put the pylons by the spill this way people knew to go around the spill. The night went great and I think everything went smoothly and was an experience I will never forget and yes I'd consider doing it again next year.

Kars On King Event 2017 Event, Downtown!
This year was a crazy year for the amount of cars they fit in a parking lot and on the main street and side streets, I didn't think they can fit that many in there but they did, I believe out of both my cell phone pictures and my camera which mind me the battery died towards the end as I was snapping so many pictures which is pretty crazy if you ask me. It was fun, ran into my former Staff David, his fiance, Kevin, an old friend who use to hang out with the gang at the table at the food court, was always wondering how he was doing all these years since I haven't seen him and of course someone tried to say hi but cause drama with me and the police were called which put me into a total mental break down but will not go into full on details or names will not be released either, but to try and talk to me months later after the events that took place, uh uh, not happening, not wanting anything to do with them as I cannot trust em.
Enough of the drama portion but I had a great time, CKDO which is our local Oldies station here in town was doing a remote show there which is really cool to see. Also the amount of people at the event was insane, its become such a popular event each year which is good its a good publicity for them and you never know brings in more people each and every year. Restaurants were getting good business and it was so nice to see such a hustle and bustle of a downtown. I also got to meet a friend of my dad's from the airport who is a pilot as he had his old Corvette there so was great to meet him as well. For those who don't know the downtown was pretty much dead back in the 90's and early 2000's until our Mayor was not re-elected and a new Mayor was in power. So this was truly a nice change to see such a busy downtown and maybe the downtown need more of these things. My dad and I bused it downtown so this was no worries to find a parking spot but however getting out of the event by bus was not easy whatsoever as traffic on the one street which mind me is a one way street and the traffic was so horrendous and was late due to the traffic and a majority of the eastbound buses were re routed around where the Generals Hockey play so it was not the greatest. Finally I know it isn't much about the event, I tried my hardest to talk about it but was fun and to leave you on tonight's blog post with a few pictures from the event:
Have a Great Night!
