Favorite Memories of College....

Since it has been nearly 9 years since I left college now, I thought now would be the most appropriate time to step up and do this post about my favorite moments in College and to be honest, I do not think I did a post and I cannot remember if I did out of the 1200 + posts that have been done. However here are some of my most favorite moments in no logical order:

Riot Radio: Was an honor to be a part of the Campus Radio Station was one of the first visual radio stations I guess out of College Radio Stations in the country or even Ontario but I forget. I remember when I ended up awfully sick with barely a voice but I managed through a really rough show. This was also the early inspiration for what I am doing now, podcasting and having a passion for being behind the microphone and a lot has come back to me the do's and don't which I could do a podcast on technically.

Working Out In The Gym/Basketball: We had this thing were we got to go to the gym and shoot some hoops in the gym. I never got to work out on the machines upstairs during my time in College.

Dinner At the Campus Pub: I had dinner with my fellow classmates and other students on the campus and I got to try fried pickles which honestly was delicious! I really enjoyed it and the first time I have had it.

Ridgebacks Hockey Game: For those who didn't know, my college I attended also had an university on the campus as the College and once again I got the honor to see a Ridgebacks hockey game which University hockey is very exciting to watch.

There is my list and I am sure there are other moments on campus I can mention such as several videos were made for my YouTube Channel, including an interview with Justin, Larry and the rest of them which was amazing really, I had fun doing it in the process.

What Two Dishes Do I Want To Cook First?

So as you know this year, I have been trying to cook something new once a month as I want to learn to make some new dishes that I want to make. I think I once touched on this before here on the blog but the very next two dishes I want to make I have discussed it with my mom already. So what are this dishes? Here is the list of what I would like to make over the next two months starting next month.

1) Mushroom Ravioli- I am not a big fan of Mushrooms but I can make it small enough that is isn't as big inside the pasta. I would make the pasta dough from scratch add in the meat and mushroom and actually I think it is in an oil based sauce if I am correct but I would have to look at the recipe yet again to see what is in it. Either way I am excited to be trying out this recipe which is officially going to help teach me to cook new things both healthy and of course hearty as Italian is a hearty dish.

2) Chicken Balls and Lo Mein Noodles- I had a smaller chicken ball sample at the Chinese place at the food court in Toronto Union Station and gave me the idea to do smaller pieces of chicken with batter around it and also smeared in sweet n sour sauce. As a side dish do lo mein noodles and I got majority of the stuff ready and maybe tonight i'd give it a shot but right now we have a pile of left overs right now so it is kind of hard. However in time I plan on trying it out and I think next week I am going to make the time to even try it out.

Anyways there is my list of things I would like to cook first and hopefully by the start of May which is only a week away to start trying to cook this dish for you guys and giving it a shot. Now I do have to figure out batter as it is different from breaded chicken so there is a difference but I like cooking as it is very relaxing for me and I find it to be a very relaxful thing for me especially after a long day in this studio as I have been spending majority of my time here lately while taking care of my mom during her recovery from knee so a good amount of my time is here in the house and the studio which is downstairs as you can tell with the photos on my Instagram.

Prospects Grill- Chicken Fingers and Fries REVIEW

First thing I would like to say is, I know I am a couple of days late from when I was at the Generals Game and having dinner out but I had other posts I wanted to get out before but anyways here is my review on the Prospects Grill for the meal 5 pieces of Chicken Fingers and French Fries with a drink:

As you guys know, this is my second time around at Prospects, I had to do yet another blog post but this time reviewing their Chicken Fingers and French Fries and this time around I took a picture including the view from seats we were in as you can see, we had rink view seats this time around which is really cool to have for a change as last time we were by the window seat looking out at Athol Street and the Walk In Clinic as well. Now to set today's blog post up, I ordered my usual soft drink, a coke, 5 pieces of Chicken Fingers, with Fries. We waited no more then 5 - 10 minutes and we had our dinner already brought to our table same with our friend Mike as well. We were really surprised that we got our dinner so quickly but don't worry it was fully cooked.

Let's talk about the french fries, it was crispy and what I like about these fries, they had some of the potato skins still on it but I love the skin on the french fries, I don't mind it at all whatsoever. Now let's move on to the chicken finger, sauce it's like a sweet and sour sauce it was not spicy but had that sweet and sour taste but it could of also been a plum sauce but I think it was a sweet and sour sauce. The Chicken Fingers when I bit into it and the chicken was fully cooked and it was so tender and soft when I bit into the chicken it liked melted in my mouth when I chewed it and it was so good and the Chicken fingers were the first to be finished. Overall the meal does get a 10/10 and again I would definitely go back for another meal. I do not wanna talk about the Hockey game as I had a rough night during the second period of the hockey but good food and good company for the evening, I enjoyed a majority of the night with my friends.

Prospect's Grill @ Tribute Community Center REVIEW

Yesterday, I got to go to an Ontario Hockey League game for those who don't know, I live in a city which has one and I will not reveal the city as I do not want to end up doxed but I got to also go out for dinner with my friends before the hockey game happened and I will not talk about the game in this blog, nor ever talk about the game from last night as I am embarrassed and plus I wanted to go at it with a fan.

Anyways,  I went for dinner before the game, like I said and I ordered a Beef Hamburger, I could of gotten Chicken Burger if I wished but I rather have gotten my normal beef burger. It had lettuce, onions and pickles on it, along with the condiments mustard and ketchup. The burger was so juicy, the bun was so fresh and it fell apart which means it was a fresh bun. The cook on the burger was perfect not burnt, just as I like it Medium rare. I know I sound like Gordon Ramsey don't I? ha-ha! Now lets move on to the next part, the french fries and trust me they had enough of them but I managed to eat everything on my plate last night. The fries were cooked nicely, they actually had the skin on them, which is what I love is the skin action on the fries, now I don't mind it without the skin but I will eat them with the skin on, it seals in the flavor of the fry. Now add it with ketchup or vinegar and it is awesome! Price wise, it is very reasonable prices, especially if you ordered what I did I paid about $18.60 for my meal which is reasonable. Also I got free refills on my cold beverages too which I took advantage and I got a re-fill on my drink.

Trust me I was full by the end of the dinner and felt very satisfying to have a full stomach but I really enjoyed eating at the Prospects Grill and I will rate it 5 out of 5 stars and in the end I would go back to the Prospects Grill for another meal and never know I may try something else different and see how it tastes, but all I know they will see me again in the near future, next time I'm at a Gens game with my friends or with my family members, I'll be back for sure!
