My Weekend Winter Adventure- January 2021

               Over the weekend, I had the chance to go out for a walk with my dad and I found this to be a photo op for content and you know this is content in the bag for me. Gives me the opportunity to actually create content for you guys. Anyways we went to McLaughlin Bay Reserve which really is only a few minute drive from the house for us and close. We got there and there it trust me it was a busy place but don't worry we stayed our 6 feet distance from people despite this pandemic going on right now that is the most important thing. We walked about 2 hours and I thought honestly we were not going to far in but 2 hours my butt we ended up going that long and honestly that's OK, I need to do 2 hour walks from time to time. I know it was painful on my knee going though the snow. Anyways i had a Chickadee on my hand and my dad got a good still of the bird looking at the camera. Also the way the snow was beautiful and was really nice.


       Nature was definitely on my side as I got a picture of a Squirrel posing for the picture, got a pic of an Cardinal as well. The picture on the right of this text  is branches that reach across the path above the pathway which is really cool and I took a few different types of pictures actually but you can find them on on my Instagram for all the pictures that I have posted up for you guys. Honestly there is so much I can say about my Hike and yeah we interacted with a few people as they always said hi to us. Either way it was really nice to actually get out and just walk and get out in nature and maybe I need to do this more often and I think that is what I am going to do today is get out and actually walk and enjoy my time out and about. Trains, Buses and Exercise!

             Yesterday, I got to go to out on a bus trip for the day and what a trip it was from my hometown here into Pickering via GO Train. From there I took the 223 Bayley bus into Ajax. From there I took the 216 Harwood which turned into the 224 Bus once we got back from the Taunton area. When we got to back to Ajax Go we headed back home. It wasn't much of a day but it was an outing and of course we forgot to grab some food even when we got back. But we had a donut that kind of kept us happy till dinner time. Now the 216 Harwood was my idea and actually we went by where my Aunt and Uncle lived and boy it sure did bring back memories as a kid going there for visits, Christmas/Mother's Day celebrations so it really did bring back a ton of memories in my childhood and even as an adult as well. Also we passed the street where the elementary school I graduated from Grade 8. So it sure brought back a ton of memories and Eric could see the excitement of me remembering the school and some friends I am still connected with as well. So I guess in a way it was a trip down memory lane for me. 


             Anyways that is my trip I took yesterday and one of the reasons why I was very quiet on social media and noticed this morning the Facebook Fan page gained a fan apparently but thank you. It is hard to be on social media and travelling and wish I took pictures but we just did not have anytime and it wasn't the right time but I promise to take a selfie on my next adventure around Durham. Anyways I had a good time and I am glad Eric got me out of here for the day, I really needed it with the stress and high pressure of being a blogger and he gave me the idea for this post and I know it's not a big post like yesterday but hey you guys are getting a post one way or another so it is great. I can honestly say that I had a good time and I admit to feeling depressed and when we got on the go I truly did feel a ton better as I just pretty much put my troubles at the door and enjoyed the day. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and yes I sort of made that reference to Trains, Planes and Automobiles but in this case Trains, Buses and Exercise! I will see you guys in the next post tomorrow which will be an update on the studio reno progress.

I Am Glad It Is Spring Finally!

           I am darn well am happy that spring is officially here despite the really weird still winter esk kind of weather we had yesterday with a snowfall for an hour or two which mind you made no sense whatsoever. Typical Canadian Weather here honestly. So this also means my knees will be more at ease minus the Thunderstorms that come with the nicer weather. But I have noticed in the warmer weather my knees are not affected as much so the colder weather sure does have something to do with the weather with my knees. Also I can definitely can get out more and end of April I will be out as much as I can minus the days I am in the house looking after my mom as she will be recovering from surgery which is this Monday coming up, in 2 days from now. After she is recovered tho, I will be able to get out and I already have plans to travel again at the end of April for an eviction for Big Brother Canada again which will be my last for the season. Also on May 2nd, I will be off to Owen Sound for the Spring Cruise back up to Tobermory so I will be gone all day and it will be indeed a very long day for me with the next morning being a major podcast day for me. 


          I am sure I will be out and about in the start of May too and I am sure the day of the Big Brother Canada Finale, I will be very busy and out and about that day too I am pretty sure of it as I will be running around like crazy  I definitely wanna take the advantage and throw the ball around with friends and hit balls out as I rarely get to do that but at least once a year now. I know both Eric and I will go out and about to hangout and spend time with me and we already plan on a trip down to the lake where we use to film back in the old days of us being on YouTube as a team. It will indeed be a trip down memory lane for sure for not just me but the both of us.  I plan on some trips to Toronto with my dad and I am sure my niece and nephew which I haven't really mentioned them in quite some time but I am planning to get out. There is two local events I want to go to: Maple Festival in Bowmanville and also Food Truck Friday are on the list and it is an excuse to get out locally and attend the events.  Either way I am looking forward to the warmer weather and getting out and getting more exercise and more steps in now then I have been getting recently.

Weight Loss Update (01-22-2018)

                   Not much to report on with the weight loss, I am between 221 and 223 pounds, which mind you it is better then 239 pounds like I was before, but it is hard to surpass this number but I am trying my hardest and one goal I made is to have one fat day where I can eat whatever I want that is usually on Sundays as sometimes Larry pops over from time to time, depending on his schedule. 


                    I haven't really changed what is in my diet is with the amount of calories I intake everyday, trying to stay at 1800 as much as possible over the last little while but minus the one day a week I have for a fatty day but other then that I make sure I follow it to a tee and make sure I do not cheat on my diet whatsoever. My thoughts is, the faster I can get to my weight goal which is 170 pounds, the faster I do not have to worry about following my diet anymore. Trust me losing this weight has helped my right knee out quite drastically and I am not in as much pain as I use to be and sometimes I go weeks without problems which is a good thing honestly! Now I honestly try and avoid having bread as much as possible, but I do not cut it completely, I have my 2 piece of bread once a week, then usually down to the one piece, especially when or if it is toast I am having. One other thing I try and do is not eat after dinner unless its my lightly salted sunflower seeds or a fruit like a banana that I just finished up while typing today's blog post. 


                   One thing I could be better at is being out and being active and going for more walks and getting the exercise I need but I am always out and about almost everyday lately as things gotta get done, whether I need to run to Staples or go to an appointment or two depending on the day or what is on tap for the day. Yes I try to avoid eating out but if worse comes to worse, I at least grab half a sub from Subway but that is very rare of the time it happens. Sub isn't too bad anyways, as long its like a ham or turkey sub but other then that, that would be what I usually have but I am not a big Turkey fan so it would be a ham with mustard lettuce and cheese on it, sometimes red onions but again that is in the rare circumstances if I forget to eat and I am really starving. But other then that, the diet is doing well, slow but slow is better then losing the weight fast as it is not very healthy thing to do. Please note I am going to do these weight loss updates at the start of the month instead of weekly as things can fluctuate each and every week.

Lack of Sleep....

In the last several days ever since the night before the Autism Celebration which I slept at night last, hoping I will go lie down soon to fall asleep for even a few hours, but ever since the event I haven't slept at night much, was asleep maybe 2 - 3 nights before the event 2 - 3 hours that's it but since then I have been awake at night and not able to sleep and tonight I am feeling like I am ready to sleep at least a few hours but this sleep deprive is gotta stop because I am tired and my moods are really bad at times where I am snapping at my own parents and I think they know it is the lack of sleep. There is nothing Dr's can do for me at this point, I gotta just deal with it and try and make the best of it. 

Now, usually after a few days I end up going to bed and sleeping through the night and usually up at 4 or 430 am EST... LMAO, yes it is a very early morning but I get a lot. Now if I could get a a routine like 430 or 5 am wake ups and in bed by 930 pm that would be amazing to keep the routine going I would probably be in a happier place right now.  So what is my plan you may ask? Well I am planning on going to bed soon as this blog is posted and sleeping till at least 5 or 6 am EST then getting up getting my day started. Then hopefully I will be in bed at 930 pm later on and hopefully it fixes this screwed up sleep. Yes I am frustrated by this, yes I want this to all change and get my life back on track hopefully soon and I am going to start making changes in my life starting Monday with a 4 day treadmill and exercise routine and going to bed earlier and so on. I will do weekly updates on the blog like on Fridays how it is going.
