I'm Excited for Christmas and New Years!

I am pretty much done with my Christmas shopping all together but I still gotta get my grandma something and that is pretty much it for Christmas shopping but I dread it every year but it's part of the holiday season. I know my Grandma told me to not get her anything but I am as shes family and I have always gotten her something each and every year. I usually procrastinate with not shopping till the final week before Christmas but this year I wanted to get it entirely done ahead of time. I do not like shopping for a long period time, especially if I do not know where or what I am getting family members so it does make it tough to know where but if you know where you have to go then it sure as heck makes it a lot easier. I need to get the one present then I am done.

Now am I excited for Christmas? Of course I am. It is time for me to spend a lot of time with the family and not so much in the studio hence why I have shutdown days where I will not even be in the studio to work on things. That announcement is coming tomorrow's post on here. I know my niece and nephew, brother and sister and law are up north but still got my parents here, my grandma and I know we will definitely do something at least on Christmas Day this year in the afternoon. I cannot believe it's Christmas time already and also this year is almost over and a new year is upon us which means big plans for CBOTW is coming! The domain is coming back, desk is being rebuilt mid 2019, second boom arm is being added so a lot to be excited for.

The biggest part like I said is spending time with family and we hope to have the neighbors over on New Years eve to celebrate and ring in 2019 with them as my neighbor actually mentioned it when I saw her last so that will be nice as we haven't do that in years so it will be nice to be in company of the neighbors as well. Also when my niece, nephew, brother and sister in law gets back we will be having a late Christmas celebration so that will be nice and not sure if were hosting yet or they will but either way that is our tradition when they are north for Christmas Day, we get together after they get back on the 26th or 27th.

Started to Decorate My Studio!

Christmas season is pretty much upon us and i have already started to decorate the studio but it is not fully done as the snowflakes and other Christmas decorations are now up up but I will be working on those soon hopefully. But I have started using the lights in the studio and I rather wait till December to really start lighting up the studio for the season so in time but I have started to light things up here in my studio. I have to figure out how to put the curtain snowflakes up due to the fact I currently have my Green Bay Packers flag up behind me at the moment that may either have to come down or put the snow flakes behind or around it if worse does come to worse. This year I did 2 different levels of Christmas lights in the Chris B On The Web Studio one at the first shelf above the desk area so the new set of lights are up there. Now new lights? Yes the ones that are now at the bottom of the desk where my screens do sit on is where the old lights are setup and i got them both hooked up to a clicker beneath the desk where I am use my foot to activate the lights and I have tested it and works very well.

I think I will wait till Larry is here in the studio on December 9th which yes it is my anniversary of when I started this 13 year journey as a media man but I do need his help with the finally touches and I think I still got my old tree that I can use here in the studio but not sure if the lights work. I thought i got rid of that tree but apparently not, it wasn't thrown away so I have it still unless my parents are referring to the gold tree of mine that could of been it but never know what she means but I will most definitely have to ask as I sworn I actually thrown it away but it's whatever I guess, I must of stored it away since stopped using it recently so I am guessing it is still in the house. Anyways I am derailing myself from the topic at hand and that is when Larry is here next time, he will be helping me finish up the studio for the Christmas and winter season as I always keep the snowflakes up during the winter all the way into late March/early April at the most. So I have started to decorate the studio and slowly getting to it and in the new year I will have to take it down as I am fixing up my desk but I get to enjoy the lights right into the new year at least.

Sweet Shoppe (Grand Bend) Review

While my time in Grand Bend during my vacation, I got to experience the Sweet Shoppe in the town which had two different experiences on two different days as I wasn't sure what heck I was drinking actually. What was I drinking? I had a Vanilla Shake on the Thursday and a Chocolate Shake on the Friday, the day we were coming home from Grand Bend. I will break down both of the days and what my thoughts are and trust me I have my opinions on the Sweet Shoppe but I will be nice in the nicest way as I do not want to put them down in anyway shape or form.

So first of all, I would like to break down Thursday. Both my dad and I had the Vanilla Milk Shake but it was nothing but liquid, it was more like like Milk frothed then shake. I gotta a suspicious feeling, they did just use Milk and frothed it instead? It was gone within minutes of us walking out of the sweet shoppe so I am not sure what was going on and mind you I did send them a little message to them. I knew it was not as thick or done up like a Milkshake. I felt like it was rushed and usually take a couple of minutes to put a shake together and it seemed to not take that long for some odd reason.

Now to the more positive side of things, my dad and I ended up back at the sweet shoppe again to pick up Fudge for my mom as a treat for her and my dad asked if I wanted a milkshake and I right away hesitated at first to decide if it is worth another let down once again but I am all for a second chance and gave the Sweet Shoppe another chance and this time I had a chocolate milkshake this time around and it was thick and the girl filled it to the top which was awesome to actually see this time around. I give Thursday's Milkshake a 1 out of 5 as I was sort of disappointed. But Friday, however I give it a 5 out of 5 this time around as I was more satisfied with the shake this time. Would I go back there for another Shake? It is hard to decide at the moment.

Canada Day 2018

So yesterday was a down low kind of day for me, I did not go anywhere, I stayed in the cool studio for the day which was probably the best move as we are currently in a heatwave here in Ontario, plus I didn't want to deal with 2 individuals as I have had my share of problems with them so I thought it was the best move for me to just stay and hang back and plus I was tired from a long day on Saturday after my trip to Toronto with my dad so it was nice to sit back and just take it easy. Mainly I played video games, write yesterday's blog post and that's it. Had a couple of runs at The Binding of Isaac, played some Grand Theft Auto 5 as well. I played some Minecraft but ended up quitting due to getting lost entirely in the game but that's OK, but I need a long break from Minecraft actually for now. It was a quiet afternoon for me and I got out for a small walk even though it was quite hot outside I still couldn't stay inside and do nothing and I just had to deal with the heat and mind you we are having this heat wave for the entire week long which will not be fun whatsoever but it is what it is honestly.

In the evening, my dad and I went up to Port Perry for the fireworks. Mind you we have done Port Perry before in the past and quite enjoyed it actually. They also had entertainment and playing so oldies but goodies as well while we were sitting there and just enjoying all the entertainment was going on. We got some drinks from the vendor there so we wouldn't get thirsty! As for the fireworks it started at 10 pm EDT, it wasn't as long as it has been in the past, I believe it was about 20 - 30 minutes long 2 years ago when we were there the last time around. But overall, it was still a great fireworks display regardless of the length, it didn't matter how long it was, what matters it was a very nice fireworks and makes it to my top 3 list of my favorite fireworks display that I have been to and you never know I may do a list in the nearby future.

First Time I Saw A Bear! (Flashback Friday)

So years ago, as I do not actually remember the year, probably something like 2011, 2012 or 2013 at the most we were on our way back from the neighbors cottage back to camp as it was about 45 minutes to another hour to my neighbors cottage.  But anyways we were on our way back to camp and I saw something at the corner of my right eye. It was black and what I saw was the back (the ass) of an end of a black bear. I knew they were around in Northern Ontario but hey this is a first to see an actual Bear in person. I think it was a mother bear and her cubs crossing. Least we weren't stupid enough to feed it chocolate like John Candy did in the Great Outdoors. LOL.

It is quite hard to see bears, they come out when you least expect them, you don't bug them, they wont bug you. Unless like I specifically said above then you are quite fine. However I know the mother bears are very protective of their youngin's. It was a neat experience to actually see a bear in person and I know Silent Lake was known for the bears in the last couple of years we camped there. Camping always entailed with us going to the cottage and it was quite the nice surprise to see nature at it's best especially late at night and we are talking about 8 pm EDT to be exact as we usually got back around 10 pm at night as we stay there quite a very long time.

Finally I can say it is off my bucket list to see nature come out at the best and next week's Throwback Thursday will be as good as this one, because I got a similar post to do next week on the Throwback Thursday Story and it will be another good post as it kind of similar to this post as it was another vacation story.

How My Easter Day 2018 Went!

So I promised you guys I would talk about how my Easter went with my family and I know my life is pretty boring to you guys but hey I don't mind sharing certain things about my personal life especially when I am spending time with my family! I know you guys enjoy the pictures I post of my family and I on Instagram.

Anyways, it was a great dinner and get together with my brother, sister in law, niece and nephew and of course my parents and I. Soon as they arrived to the house here, I ran the Easter Egg hunt with the kids which I do pretty much every year or the years they are down here for Easter but for the most part they are here every Easter to celebrate Easter with us. Of course after the kids wanted to play Minecraft down here in the studio so I came down we played Minecraft and created something called the Snow Gollum & Iron Snow Gollum which still I got no clue what the heck it is 2 days later but it's cool, I was on my file recently (last night) and made a bunch of em. I need to make more snow Gollums, they will protect me from the enemies. Anyways they taught me something new, that I never knew this actually existed on the game till my own niece and nephew taught me this. Also I showed em what I was up to with Farming Simulator 17 after dinner as well.

Dinner wise we had Ham, Mashed Potatoes, carrots, broccoli (yuck!),  Pork kebabs, Chicken Fingers. It was really delicious! I usually have wine and I said I was but ended up drinking Milk... SMH. Don't know where my head was at, so much going on. I was to distracted entertaining my niece and nephew I guess! We also got some pictures taken and I got a new picture taken with the kids and boy they are growing up so fast! Overall a great time with the fam and enjoyed every moment of being with my family and it was a nice break from working on Chris B On The Web on Sunday. I was going to record Sunday but then thought, nah, I am going to take the day off and have a day of rest instead and I have been working too hard and needed this break.

My Christmas 2017!

First of all I gotta say, hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and had a wonderful holiday, I sure did, kind of odd but it was a good Christmas all together, also sorry I am late for this point. I would consider it more of a very quiet Christmas this year as it wasn't like any normal Christmas I have had in the past! This year with my mom's side of the family not doing our traditional get together on Christmas Eve but that's not the point, the point is my brother, sister in law, my niece and nephew, my parents and I got together for Christmas Eve and it was fun, just finger foods, drinks and a good time. The kids wanted to see Minecraft what I have been up to but since changed and reverted back to the old world I had when I ended my playthrough of the game. I got my gift early which was dress boots for when I go to church every week for the winter season. Also got

Now, Christmas Day, I got from my grandma, Hawaii 5-O Seasons 4, 5 & 6 from her, now I need seasons 2, 3 & 7. My mom and dad and I went to my grandma's, my mom's mom and my aunts and uncles who live close enough to come and visit joined in and we had a wonderful visit, we had some Quiches one with egg and ham, the other with egg and spinach in it which was quite tasty if you ask me and I enjoyed it. Oh I almost forgot to mention I got to see some of my aunt and uncle's cruise trip but not all the pictures of their trip which we will get to see in the new year at some point. We got back I tried the best I could watching Hawaii 5-O but I ended up napping for an hour and a half  to 2 hours and this week I gotta make an effort to catch up on all the TV Shows, so that was a fail and a half with catching up on Television TV Shows.

So in the afternoon we went to my brother and sister in laws, for Christmas and I got to play the Playstation 3 with my Niece and Nephew and of course we played Minecraft which will be my post tomorrow Minecraft On PC or PS3? Which One Do I Prefer? but I have played video games on Playstation before but not minecraft but again, that will be on tomorrow's blog post. We played on the floor a bit, hide and go seek, yet my nephew and I were good hiders, haha. We had dinner which was turkey, ham, mash potatoes, home made perogies made from both potatoes and cheese and pork which I had the pork which was different but really good and I would like to learn how to do the pork ones actually. I opened my gifts I got Simpsons Christmas DVD, apron for cooking as my brother, sister in law, my niece and nephew and even my parents know I love cooking and I need to do it more often! Also got Star Wars Battlefront II which is NOT compatible with my computer, I'd had have to update my entire computer to a I5 core 6600 or higher so I do not want to since this one is running smoothly most of the time, knock on wood, haha! I will take the game back as I got a gift receipt for it. I got The Simpsons Movie but I have it so I will be getting something else other then that. I played a tad bit of the WIIU with my nephew but didn't last long, we had a late dessert of Apple Pie played with the kids a bit more then I ended up cuddling with my nephew as both are sick and he kept me warm as I was getting cold. Overall it was a quiet but fun Christmas and I needed yesterday to re-cooperate from Christmas.

Have a good afternoon!

Vacation Notice- August 28 - 31st, 2017- My Last Post For A While!

I haven't made this official announcement, however I should of done this announcement sooner. So what is this post about? Well as of tomorrow, Monday, August 28th, 2017, I will be away for 4 days up north for a well deserved 4 day vacation. Now I am taking  vacation for only 4 days as I am in the middle of recording Everything About Reality TV and just do not wanna fall behind.

While I am there will be no blog posts unless my other bloggers wanna contribute to the blog while I am away but I am guessing not as Larry is my only other blogger currently on my blog right now and hes on vacation right now too so the blog is going to be on a stand still until I return from holidays . So will Everything About Reality TV as I cannot watch the show at all and unable to record episodes on the road right now so both of those will be on a stand still until I return Thursday night. Now even on a Thursday night I will not be wanting to do much in the way to bringing content out till Friday but we will see how I feel by the time I get home and unpacked and settled back in here.

So what does this mean for Chris B On The Web & ChrisBOnTheWeb.com?  Well with no blogs and podcasts coming out, Chris B On The Web & the website pretty much goes dormant for a few days while I am away and please do not un-follow any of the social media, I will have a notice up on all 3 social media sites that I am currently on vacation and will be not posting at all. I've decided to stay off social media throughout the 4 days I am currently away, however I will post up an update Wednesday evening and also when Thursday comes around and I am on my way home. This way I am in direct contact with you somewhat but again will not be posting up too updates whatsoever while I am away.

Finally you may be asking when is the podcasts & blogs coming out to make up for no blog posts and not podcasts on Wednesday and Friday? Well I am planning on making up for not being online for 4 days, by this tentative schedule:

Thursday or Friday: Vacation Blog Post
Saturday: 1 pm EDT: Everything About Reality TV Amazing Race Canada 5 EP # 9 RECAP Podcast.
8 pm EDT: Everything About Reality TV BB19 Week # 9 RECAP Podcast

That is my announcement blog post for tonight and again please do not un-follow the social media I will be back on Thursday and raring to go to conclude this season of Everything About Reality TV Podcast and move forward with Season 4 and also add on tons of new blog post ideas I have written down. Also I will be posting briefly tomorrow on social media then will be offline. Have a great week, be safe and I will talk to you all Thursday.

My Favorite Trips I Like To Go In The USA

So, today's blog off with me covering my favorite trips from both up here in the USA. This will be quite a lengthy post but going to try and keep it short and sweet. I will split the two

Let's start with the United States of America, the good old US of A. I have been to many places in the States I would visit again too in the near future and my dad doesn't know this but next year I would like to go back to Lake Placid once again and I've been there before and would go back. Few things I loved was the Arena where the Olympics were and I remember the arena very well. Also I would like to go back up on White Face Mountain which I sort of remember going up there but hard to remember that far back what I saw up on the mountain. Also Lake Placid was where the 1980 Winter Olympics were.

Next is Chicago, loved visiting Chicago, going to Wrigley Field, eating deep dish pizza which is a well known thing in Chicago. Got to ride the double decker tours, the single older tour buses, cruise tour along the river there seeing all the different buildings within the city of Chiago, got to see Trump Tower Chicago which Bill the first winner of the Apprentice got to chose as a job within the organization. Also got to see Solider Field where the Bears NFL team plays, got to see the waterfront as well. I would go back and see more of Chicago, see the Museum of Natural History, find where the Blackhawks hockey and Bulls basketball team plays. See what I haven't yet to see in the city of Chicago aka the Windy City.  On the side of this paragraph is an image of Wrigley Field.

The next Vacation I went to was in the same line as the Chicago visit is Minnesota and the reason why is because I have cousins down in Minneapolis. One thing I didn't know was the TV show Mary Tyler Moore was suppose to be filmed in but I believe it wasn't but the intro was done in Minneapolis. I would like to ride the  streetcar but it's a long train and you can walk right through it. Toronto has those kind of streetcars. Also of course I'd see another Twins game, hoping they can start being a good team again and they are getting better as they are winning again and even at home but the game was so much fun and it was a different atmosphere in a open stadium from the dome stadium out in Toronto so the experience was fun! Plus I got to meet the organist and I got a picture taken which is this picture:

I added the Mary Tyler Moore statue as well. There are too many pictures of my trip to Chicago/Minnesota but added 3 of them one in Chicago, two in Chicago and I am merely excited to eventually visit both cities again in the future. In conclusion of this blog post today I would like to say stay tuned for the Canada Vacation Spots I have been to on Wednesday and of course I will add more pictures to that post as well. Finally I will be making a post as more of an announcement in a few days from now as I have made a decision on an event I was suppose to go to has changed.

Have a great day!

Chris
