So Proud of My Team!

             Despite the changes with CBOTW involving COVID-19, I am proud of my team. We have made progress to fixing things from our own homes despite the studio being locked down to me only in the studio while this virus is happening. I know I haven't been the easiest person to get along with recently but my team has been nothing but amazing helping out as much as they can with things and it is nothing but a uphill battle from here. As you know I am watching Big Brother Canada and getting ready to start recording. I have most of the teams support minus one person which I have to try and convince him this is the best move for me.  I know my team is understanding and even my team stepped up with Everything About Reality TV.  Meaning Billy will eventually be taking over the Survivor Recaps hopefully in the fall and we hope to stay in the same scheduling but that is for a later date to be discussed as we haven't talked about that yet along with the collaboration podcast. Not just Staff but my Alumni have been a big help with things with some of the tough decisions that I have had to make recently with the changes that have been implemented.


              Either or, I consider even my alumni part of the team as they have even voiced their opinions especially at this really hard times that we are going through. Either way we are hanging in there and able to deal with some of the craziness and as long as we continue to communicate with one another we should definitely be OK over the next few weeks. Right now we are taking things one day at a time and when things get better which already are improving a tad as we haven't had as many cases of the virus today which is a improvement and let's hope it can stay this way moving forward. Right now the team and I are  discussing things for the remainder of April, May and June and how it will be affecting us in a big way as some production may end up halted. I'm fearing that Power Rangers Podcast will not happen now but least my team got my back and are there for me. My team and myself are in this together and going to try and keep things moving.

The History of The Video Projects Team

             The Video Projects Team started December 9th, 2005 at my Friday night Bowling League with Eric whom you have heard me mentioned him many times on the podcast or here on the blog. Anyways I had to do a project for High School Media class which I was just at the very tail end of my High School Career at the time. So the Project entailed talking about various attractions in our local area, mainly our hometown here which I am not mentioning the city so we do not end giving away where we are from. Anyways then we changed it to the region we are in at a later date as it became a very successful first episode despite the snow and wind. We even got to film at our own local gallery with permission of course. February 13th, 2006 a month later of him and I record we renewed the project for a full 16 episodes which we fulfilled and 3 episodes of a 2nd season which the project was cancelled in 2008. Also on January 31st, 2008 we opened our own YouTube channel to post up our projects on the internet. In the spring, I got to do a piece about my High School which I know I got a copy of the episode laying around and need to edit it and maybe re-burn it to a DVD.  However that series Chris Travels To Historic Places went all the way to June. The Entertainment Man Talk Show which as you guys know by my posts in the past, it ran 6 seasons. The series Started May 23rd, 2008 and ran on the team all the way to the end. Also did some Friends of The Entertainment Man, The CBO Show, w.e it was called back in the day, behind the scenes were all done in the span from 2008 - 2014. Also took a hiatus from the team and did post the odd video from time to time during my time in college studying my butt off.


           Now the team was around for almost 10 year mark before the team ended but in 2009 and 2010 we lost a ton of staff and that was just the start of issues. in 2011 and 2013 we added to the team, Justin and Larry. in 2013 we lost another staff and in 2014 after speaking to the last 2 staff we had, we talked about going to a different channel or on our own and abandoned the team to me being more on my own. They both agreed and to help me even past this transition stages and on November 13th, 2014, The Video Projects Team became the past history for me as I was moving into a brand new ERA for me and what we had left on the team. Also I need to make a point we also did cast from Stickam, BlogTV, JTV and those kind of websites from 2009 all the way into 2014. Now in the next post I will be covering the history of Chris B On The Web and even the history to this day as CBOTW is still going strong after 5 years on the internet.

Everything About Reality TV Podcast Changes...

          At this time yesterday, I was taking a break and yes it is still going to be happening but my time off will be definitely a little longer as I am no longer will be the host for Survivor Recaps on the Podcast. I am graciously stepped down to let Billy take it over as I said on the podcast. No I am not going anywhere and this is the reason behind a second announcement post since things change here at CBOTW very quickly and within the last 6 - 10 hours so here is what the plan is for Everything About Reality TV come 2020:

Survivor: Will Be Hosted by Billy a good friend of mine will be taking over the podcast so there will be times I will be not present on the podcast but this is good as it gives me some time off from the podcast.

             I however will be the one that will be covering Big Brother, Big Brother Canada, Amazing Race and Amazing Race Canada for the time being which is nice to have one less show to cover and I am very excited for the changes to come. I know between September and February there will be a break for me between shows but you never know another show may pop up and I will probably cover the show. Originally I would of give up the rights to the Big Brother and Big Brother Canada Recaps but I enjoy doing em still and like I said I get September to February off normally. Reason I decided to step down is Billy knows Survivor as well as I do and obviously I cannot do all the shows as it has not become evident that I cannot handle every single show out there so the help comes in handy indeed.  The scheduling I have already started working on the next season schedule and will be releasing the schedule in the New Year as of right now I have only one show on the schedule out of the 3 as I do not know when Big Brother Canada will be same with Amazing Race I am currently unsure of when that will be on the air so soon as I know I will let you guys know what is what come New Year.

What Was My YouTube Downfall?

            Nobody really know why I quit, it wasn't because of the Adpocolypse on there, nor it was cause of the family friendly content. That came after I left the platform in 2016. There are reasons why I decided to leave and why my channel just failed all together. The first reason was my first staff of CBOTW quit which put The Entertainment Man Talk Show into turmoil and I was really not sure where to turn with the series next. I believe over the months I started to plan the 7th season which didn't last long up to the point of my second staff that came back to help ended up quitting on me again for the 100th time over the course of 10.5 years of them helping me. This is when I started to think this is not worth it and that is when The Entertainment Man Talk Show was truly done and I just didn't give any crap about that series and I was pretty much over it. All because of 1 series as you can see is basically the main reason I just ended it all and yes I realize "Everything About Reality TV"  was still very much active and I could of pretty much basically continued on that platform and rename the channel to Everything About Reality TV but I didn't. To open more old wounds, I ended up firing someone I had on for not able to take a simple joke as I like to be funny but noooo they like to be all serious. I like to have fun while taking the job seriously so that didn't help with any of the future of the channel honestly. I honestly didn't even talk talk to any of the 3 for months even up to an year. First one of the 3 we started talking again by summer at the most but the other 2 took longer up to a year, year and a half.


                So in conclusion of this the main two reasons was the web series failing which mind you again, it was a stupid reason honestly because I still had Everything About Reality TV on the channel and things could of been worked around it with it so the first reason was pretty much one of the stupidest reasons for it ending. But the truth is, things weren't the same after losing 90% of my team that helped me I just lost complete focus on the channel and what I should of done was setup a separate channel for the podcast and kept the main one for other videos etc or as an archives. That was probably my major downfall with YouTube on top of losing my team but a solo project could of been a doable thing for CBOTW but yet again you have to realize I would of ended up in the middle of this entire adpocalypse and family friendly content bull so either way the decision I made was the best decision as Everything About Reality TV has been striving good on Audio ONLY.

Having Differences With Other People

                 In the last 11.5 years of doing Online Media, I've had my share of differences with my team when I was still a YouTuber and even being on my own there was creative and also differences between 2 parties or more. Now I gotta say before really digging into this blog, we all differences, it can be creative differences, it can be differences in opinions, depending what the argument is or differences you are having with your friends or it can even be family. 


                   First thing I would like to say about opinion differences, we all have our own opinion and we are entitled to an opinion and of course here in Canada it's called freedom of speech, as long as it isn't slanderous or defamation of character, or even hurtful and/or mean to the other party. Let's just say sometimes we agree to disagree but no need to throw insults or putdown to the other individual in the part. I've had my share of disagreements with my former team from back in 2007 which is very early in The Video Projects Team where one staff, he didn't want to end the day even though we were suppose to have a meeting but Missy was sick, which is totally understandable but to say were not done, technically you should listen, so obviously argument and differences were a major factor in this situation. I wouldn't call it a creative differences just different opinions were in the factor. It can be an idea or a opinion that sometimes can go the wrong way or it it is said in the wrong context and of course the other party will argue with you.


                    So finally, as I am shortening this blog for today, we all have differences and it is ok to have differences whether it is a creative differences or opinionated, it is Ok to have differences between parties, we have our thoughts and opinions and these things do happen and just have to agree to to disagree. We all go through our differences in opinions everyday life and it is part of our everyday life, in the end we put our differences aside at the end of the day.

Been Having Doubts

Been having a lot of doubts with ChrisBOnTheWeb.com and its not the podcasts I am doubting, I know, just the team behind me is kind of breaking up as it is now down to just Justin and I which is fine, but it is hurting me in the long process. I hope with these podcasts I will be able to find a co host maybe one of these days or live feeder to help with live feeds on Big Brother to give whats going on the BB Feeds so I wanna work on that too and maybe add bloggers as well and grow the website in a big way and get the viewership up! These are goals, but with me doubting the website it is kind of hard to move on with these goals but I gotta keep on pushing especially if I wanna add adsense to the website to earn some revenue within my website, I did way back from The Video Projects Team days which is a long time ago now since that happened. But I will try and continue with Justin aka Justina and try and get things back on track. Losing YouTube has been a big impact on me and I haven't been sleeping well the last while except for last night I finally was tired enough to sleep. I may have had 4 hours of sleep but I'll be fine and later sleeping better knowing I am fixing the website and the problems around with the site.

I shouldn't doubt I should believe in myself and believe in Justin and the words of wisdom he has given me in the last many weeks of my struggles with all the B.S. happening with my team and with me starting to not believe in my team but I got still believe because if I don't then my website will back downhill and it will be over for chrisbontheweb.com and no way of rebuilding it. Yes Larry, Sarah and Eric who's the big name screwed me over but I gotta remember Justin hasn't yet and I don't think he will quit.
