This Pandemic Has Thrown Me Off Kilter Again!

                 I can be honest, I am not myself anymore. I've opened up my mouth too much and I just don't why I wanna run my mouth especially about CBOTW when I have put enormous amount of hours and work into the site and team since all these changes have been made. I need to learn to keep my comments to myself especially when it comes to this here website. I know the motivation is still there but I feel like I've dragged myself with the lack of sleep lately where I am tired non stop 24-7. Not sure how on earth I get through the work load anymore to be honest with you all. I haven't been myself since being put into isolation and only out for walks and trips to the corner store on a weekly basis. However to not be able to have friends over or go hangout with friends it bothers I cannot do any of that anymore. However I find the same repetitive thing with the workload is becoming a bit of a pain in the butt but what else can I really do minus work, play games, watch T.V. and Movies. Nothing really, it's really brought me down recently and I just do not know how much longer I can hold on.... 

                To be honest my depression hasn't gotten any better and you probably can tell by my lack of updates or posts as I normally do. However I try to keep you guys up to date as much as possible and I am going to try to post a bit more or even get my Community Manager to post updates if I am not up to it. For those who really know me, I have autism and there has been days I have not taken my meds which is not a good thing really and I need to stay on the meds and I'm sure it will help with my moods but I haven't been in the best of moods lately. Really there has been day's I just did not care enough to work on things but I try to do enough work for the day and then have fun. With the way I'm feeling right now I may have to lower my exceptions for the day and even take an hour break here and there to just get myself motivated again, so maybe I need to work a daily schedule and maybe I need to schedule some time off but I will be taking a bit of time to myself once Power Rangers Wild Force is done. I napped till 130 pm yesterday so spent the entire night working hard  on posts for the week so this way I can focus on finishing up Wild Force and typing up notes and get recording. We may just get one done next week and another one the week after if possible. I know I have to get moving on Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder for October but I promise I will take a weekend off before starting the next set of seasons!

ChrisBOnTheWeb Weekly Updates! [07-19-2020]

                 Here is your weekly updates for ChrisBOnTheWeb for July 18, 2020. Well it's been a crazy week for us and we've been making temporary changes to the website to podcast stuff we can say there has been changes and change honestly is good. I've been in close contact with the boss man and he informs me of the changes. Anyways here is what has been happening around ChrisBOnTheWeb:

Website: So as Chris has mentioned in the post yesterday, we had to tweak the menu bar a little bit more as the drop down wasn't showing all the different pages that we house on the website but we have that fixed and it was him that actually noticed the issue. Like he said if there an issue on the website to send us a message on Social or send us an email thecbotwteam@gmail.com. Missing or want a feature added you can send it to us and we can look into it. Speaking of that we also removed Survivor & Amazing Race Canada and it is now under Temporary Archives which was my idea originally. Finally for this portion of the website is we're looking into a way to link our socials to help us grow as a community, grow all 3 aspects of the social media so we're trying to figure a way to do that and when we're ready to release we will let you all know.

The CBOTW Show: So recently Chris started recording episodes of The CBOTW Show, Tough As Nails RECAP Podcasts and just yesterday, he dropped a The Simpsons Recap from Season 1! I had no idea he was gonna do this weekend but it is very exciting and something different from anything he's done in the past so be sure to go check it out, here on the website, Castbox, PlayerFM, TuneIn, ITunes, etc!

                   Now much more in the updates for right now and there has been additions to our team made but we're not clearly ready to announce any of that at this moment but when the time is right, we will be sure to let you guys whether it is on Social Media or here on ChrisBOnTheWeb.com or even both. We're Still Learning!

                I know late last night, I was tweeting out that we had a mishap with the website which Mark will talk about on tomorrow's post but I wanna make it clear that we're still learning about coding and CSS code and any other type of coding that we have actually have put onto this website. It's a learning curve with this. Trust me it's always work in progress. However over the last year, we've learned a lot about coding and website building. Neither myself or our web admin went to school for any of this. We practically learned from YouTube and Google how to put together some of the pages that you see on the website. Also the menu bar was all built from scratch which we got the code from online but customized it to our liking which has been tweaked time and time again. I love to learn and our web admin isn't the only one that works on the site, I also work on the website so he's not the only one that works in the backside of the website that works on it. 

                Either way I love to learn about new things and it has been quite a learning curve but we appreciate the patience and honestly we don't think you guys noticed really and this happened to be us that noticed the changes within the website, actually it was me as I was going through pages in the backside of the website and I saw the Special's page and went onto ChrisBOnTheWeb.com and noticed there was no special. So I talked to Mark and he said sounds like the CSS issue but I'll let him explain tomorrow. However the point I wanna make is that we're learning and we have to make sure the site look really good and just be patient. The advice we can is report the issues to us via Social DM or thecbotwteam@gmail.com. Either way we continue to learn and grow and we appreciate the patience you have had with us.

The CBOTW Show Team & Podcast Updates!

                 We have been discussing things, between Larry, Chris (Reality Teas) and myself and a new member of the team and we have decided on a couple of things and in this post. There has been so many different developments around CBOTW and the production of sides. It is truly exciting to be honest and been holding onto this for clearly 4 - 6 hours before preparing for this big announcement post. Anyways here it goes:

- Platform Wise- We are staying Audio ONLY as the team think it is the best move even from the Producer's standpoint, meaning Executive Producer and Senior Producer that do all the Behind the Scenes prep for the podcasts and shows you hear on a regular basis. It isn't going to work now with Survivor on hold and Big Brother 22 in limbo, it isn't seen right to try and open up a channel and it is really just unknown and we're better where we are.

-  Larry: He has been named the Podcasts Senior Producer as he also is the Co-Founder of the Podcast. but he has a bit more of a say with the behind the scenes decisions for platforms etc with the shows that we put on. Also he helped me decide which shows to put into a temporary archive for the time being which are Survivor and Amazing Race are on hiatus till next year so it is in a temporary archive at the moment. 

- Other Hosts: On top of hosting their own shows which I will address in a moment, but they will get full reign of their shows, they get to produce and host their own shows. In no way shape or form will Larry or I will be involved which they will be responsible for their own shows. They will have to follow our guidelines for shows which is a guide for them and I know they got no problem with that.

Start Of My Reality TV Chatter in 2013 (Throwback Thursday)

                This started back in 2013 when I was still a YouTuber, this was before the Reality TV era and when I knew Larry who's now my Senior Producer who really needs to be promoted to EP (Executive Producer) as well as he's done so much for me over the years and deserves a more of a promotion as he's helped me start this entire journey nearly 5 years ago. Anyways I was just tweeting about Reality TV, Survivor, Big Brother, Big Brother Canada as most of you know that is when BBCAN came out and actually when I met a lot of you and big shoutout to Alyssa on Twitter who I've been friends and she's been a loyal follower of ChrisBOnTheWeb even before the name came to be... LOL.. I met Sean from Sensibly Cynical Podcast I think last year but really do not remember. Getting old over here, slowly hitting 35... smh! Anyways I connected with so many of you, Dusty, Reality Teas (Chris) who is actually on my Staff right now for Big Brother USA! The list is large I cannot name everyone as we've got like 3200 + followers unless that's gone down recently as it fluctuates on a daily basis.  Either way without the Amazing Race, Big Brother, Big Brother Canada, Tough As Nails, The Simpsons, Power Rangers And Survivor fans, we wouldn't be doing what we're doing to this day. We have become a big success because of you guys continuously supporting us through all the ups and downs we have, the laughs and the tears. 

                  I am so happy I met you all and made so many great friends over the years and I cannot thank you all enough. 2013 is a long time ago, 7 years to be exact and I am glad I built a bit of a following in that department before this journey began in February 2015 with the trial runs of talking Reality TV before Everything About Reality TV became a thing and then to go on to merge with the now The CBOTW Show.  I remember when I started to tweet about Reality TV I wasn't getting many hits and with me tweeting about Tough As Nails, I've gotten likes from the Executive Producers and host of Tough As Nails which really surprised me actually. Not just that but connecting with one of my favorite Big Brother Alumni, Talla from Season 1. I remember being on her stream I happen to blurt out the numbers 191999 LOL and she said I saw that! Haha. Her reaction was priceless.  I've connected with other Reality Stars some from Survivor, Amazing Race, Amazing Race Canada. None from Big Brother US yet but never know it could happen. What I am trying to say is without any of the love and support this would of probably gone away.very fast and here we are almost 5 years in still going strong, maybe even stronger then we were before.  That is my throwback story and I had to tell and we've built such a strong amazing community and let's continue to build this community for years to come!

Neon Abyss Demo Review

               I heard about this game through Twitch Streamer, YouTuber and Winner of Big Brother 10 and runner up of Season 14, Dan. As you all know I am a huge fan of his and been watching his content for years now and never miss a daily video. Anyways he introduced to his Twitch viewers and I was in his room and I've seen him post up. Anyways the game is Neon Abyss which is a rogue like shooter game. It's like Spelunky and it is more Isaac like as I have had the privilege to try a Demo of the video game. I really like it and in the last week or so I have actually gotten time to try it out and today I got to play and got up to 4 levels down but there is a time limit for the demo but as of today I believe it is released and I need to see how much it is actually to decide whether I am getting it or not right away but either way I like this game. I had a lot of fun and it reminds me of Spelunky and also The Binding of Isaac and I enjoyed my time playing it. I actually got to 4 levels and also beat it in under an hour as I did a speed run. Only issues I have with the game is the coin amount below I cannot see but I think it has to do with the size of the game window which probably can be fixed.

              Anyways this demo I get the grasp of the game and it definitely has a similarity to Isaac and honestly I enjoyed it, I would definitely get this game even if it goes down in price I would actually get it but if it is like 70 something dollars but I think I will wait it out but we'll see as I said today it is coming out or tomorrow around today it is suppose to be coming out. I'd love to do a playthrough of this game on my own spare time. I would give this game a 10 out of 10 and I cannot wait to play it. I might just get the game actually expensive or not I may put some money aside and get it. Once I started to play I got hooked right away. Now I cannot say too much as I am limited what I am currently am playing but the floating eggs reminds me of the orbitals and the actually the bosses were just like on the Binding of Isaac actually. Whenever I get this game, I promise to do a more of a thorough assessment of this game and give it a proper review then this one. Least this gives you a taste of what I've seen so far through the demo copy. Maybe if one day a gaming company may give me a early access to review you never know could be a path but I wanna do more reviews, maybe movies, TV Shows and even video games in the very nearby future.

Are We Ready To Open Our Studio Again?

               The answer to that question is no, we are not ready to open the studio up to Larry or any of the team at this point cause of the pandemic is still on going and I am taking every precaution we can to avoid getting ill. i know with our studio on lock down still questions towards our Power Rangers Podcast but that is least of our worries honestly and we have a plan in case but honestly not in any rush to have Larry here and he knows this too. Staying healthy and having our staff safe is the upmost importance right now. I couldn't tell you when Larry and I will be back in the studio together and yea I admit to it, I miss seeing him in person. Getting tired of talking to him through Skype when I wanna see him physically in person but again this will be sooner then we expect with restrictions slowly being lifted up here I'm sure there will be a time and place him and I will see each other. Won't be at the mall anytime soon as I am not planning to return to the mall at any point in the nearby future till we know we are over this hump of this pandemic but it won't be going away it could come back in a second wave in the winter but who knows.

               The positive thing out of all of this is Larry and I have a plan to actually record through Skype if this continues to go longer and we have a plan in place and raring to go. Only difference is we will not have the same quality of sound but hey beggers cannot be choosers. We just have to be patient and we need to go with our plan to do things online for now till we are in a clear where we can be physically near each other again, and be together once more.  Right now is not the right time to do that and hopefully very, very soon we can start hanging out with one another again and things get back to a more of a normal schedule for us but we'll see. That is my mini post for the day and I will see you in the next post tomorrow.
