Making a Few Adjustments to our Community!

              Our community is always changing and evolving. We have made an important decision when it came to me streaming over on Twitch. I only get 2 people and happens to be part of my staff, that's it. So I am going to focus on Facebook and Twitter Streams for right now. I just feel like I am not willing to stream if the streams are dead quiet all the time. I know Facebook and X I will be focusing on those two the most and the occasional Instagram Stream from time to time. So that is just a minor update. I want to primarily focus on our community, social medias, blogs and the podcasts as well. Don't worry I didn't buy the lights for nothing, still being used for podcasts and the social media streams as well. Was worth the investment.

              Also it is no secret that we have a Discord Server and we will be opening it to the public soon. Still working on it and building the channels and growing it so we have a nice little community. There is no ETA on the release of the public server but one thing is definite, we are not planning on having Mods at the moment but the Staff are always there to help in case there are problems but we will see what direction our server goes in. Anyways those are the two minor adjustments to our community and have a great weekend and talk Monday.

No More Twitch or YouTube!

               The title doesn't lie. I am retiring from streaming on 3rd party websites. However I will stream onto Instagram and Facebook like we use to with updates and interacting with you guys. I am just retired from streaming on those platforms. We just need 5 more followers to make it actually happen. I appreciate and love the support you have given us even the hand down of the CEO reigns with Sara which she wants to update on the transition of power so that is tomorrow.

              So I will stream and hang out with the fans but that is it. Nothing else. No more gaming streams on the fan page just hangout that's it. Maybe TikTok if I get the 1000 or 10000 followers, whatever the amount is but actually doing well on that front but I am not going to push any of this actually. Going to take those baby steps to the goal to stream on social media again. A lot of more social media presence for us moving forward! Just gotta get the numbers up which we are planning on doing immediately cause our goal for FB is 100 by the end of the year. Anyways that is the post and I will talk to you all on Monday as boss lady wants to do an additional post and she's the boss now I'm accepting her wishes so have a great rest of your week and weekend and talk on Monday! Might have some big news!

Getting Back To Our Regular Schedule

             I know we've gone off tandem with our schedule with no stream but I am planning to start streaming on Facebook and Instagram maybe every week and I need to get back to that and I know it's been awkward that there hasn't been a stream and I have technically been very busy person, had an event over the weekend through another community, which was amazing but I realized I should of done one Friday but fell asleep early.

           However this weekend I will be making an effort to stream to both Facebook and Instagram this weekend catch up with you guys on everything that has gone on in the last 2 weeks and it has been a chaotic mess trying to get things done and I will in time. So be on the lookout for a stream on Instagram and Facebook this weekend I hope to have some updates for you guys how far I am with the seasons. That is the post for today, I will talk to you all tomorrow for another post!

Instagram Changed Some Settings!

              Instagram finally did something about the unwanted private messages that you get from people sending you inappropriate links or messages which I have been getting a lot lately. Twitter hasn't been bad at all really and I did open up DM's to everyone but I recently closed it as I wanna take things a little differently with business side of what I do and anything to do with guest appearances on podcasts or sponsorship opportunities I want done through the email most of the time. However for Instagram to make these changes which I never saw about a week ago, so it really must of been the update recently on my IPhone7 and why I am now seeing this very setting. So soon as I saw this immediately I turned off messages from anyone that doesn't follow me. If anyone outside need to get in touch they can follow me or use the email within my website if it is really important and related to my content but enough was enough with the random people adding me to random groups for no apparent reason and the inappropriate links and what not and trolls. I am so happy with this change and it will bring down the amount of spam I get on Instagram especially.

               So, Instagram you definitely did the right thing adding this feature to the website or the app depends how you use it and I actually use both. I use the App when I am away from the computer and studio most of the time.  When I am here in the studio it's the Instagram on the computer via the website. Anyways this was a long time coming for them to make the changes and I am really happy they did it. So that is my post and you can tell I am excited because I am, I am very much excited that they have made these adjustments and I wish I could of mentioned this idea to them but it is hard to get in touch with them, yet it is tough to get in touch as Facebook now owns and operates Instagram as well. Wish there was a way to recommend that feature.

Will I Still Stream On Facebook and Instagram Live?

              Now with the announcement of the new Live Feature for Podcasts has been made the question I have is will I continue to do streams on Facebook and Instagram from time to time? The answer is yes. When I have a chance or announcement to make, I will most definitely go live and you can withhold me to that and right now there is no other announcement but I am not a fan of the live feature on Facebook and Instagram but if I need to make an announcement I definitely will. Don't expect it to be every day or couple of times a week. You will know when I go live to know what the announcement as you will be notified. I know I have had more requests for me to do live streams on the fan page and I would love to but I am a very busy person from maintaining the website to doing these posts to my own podcast and help getting the hosts onto the air as well as I am the one that setup that feature and the one that  has the key to the door to our stream on the website.

                Anyways, that is what I have to say and I know I am only going to be live on Facebook and my Instagram and I know you're going to ask what about the website well that is another story but in a nutshell I will be only live for Power Rangers Podcast at this point as you know my days for broadcasting are slim to non of me ever being a regular caster and as you know Power Rangers Collaboration Podcast is 3 times a year and I wanna save the airwaves for the other podcasts to be honest and when I said I am semi retired from casting I meant it and mainly if I was to cast it would be off my website or on the CBOTW social media's at this point. We've been banned off of Twitch, YouTube and other platforms. However I mean it I will pop up here on ChrisBOnTheWeb.com and socials from time to time but don't expect it to be often. We're Rebuilding Our Facebook Fan Page!

             The last few weeks has shown that some people do not wanna support us and just troll and be disrespectful and they know who they are. So we are doing a complete overhaul of our Facebook Fan Page and we need to start networking with people and get people over on our Facebook too besides Twitter and Instagram as it is. It is time to grow this community and if this means we have to move podcasts over to YouTube then so be it, we can definitely do that in the next few weeks we will. However we want to utilize the Facebook Page cause YouTube is not all that great anymore. It hasn't been good for years and this is why our podcasts are going to be on Facebook Fan Page and why we need to start networking and bringing more people on. Now we have just under 3100 followers thanks to people unfollowing us and re following so it does fluctuate however that's not the point I wanna make. The point is I can definitely bring people in from our Twitter and Instagram. We will get it fixed. I wanna eventually get over 100 likes at some point and it would really be nice and we use to have 80 something likes at one point but we had to remove people in the past for certain reasons but we will fix this. 

                

                 Give us some time to fix this and if we need to just record Audio ONLY till we fix the issue that could be something or even going live we could bring in new viewers and after all we will be using Streamyard for guests but for the most part they will be using the broadcaster or OBS to stream to the page. More information is to come very soon on that as things need to get fixed first before we do anything else. Social Media and Networking are the most important thing right now as we need to make sure we are troll free and it seems we have issues with this the last week or so. To those who are on there, thank you for continuing to support us and we will fix all of this eventually. There will be a time where we get new likes we just have to be patient through all of this.

Start Of My Reality TV Chatter in 2013 (Throwback Thursday)

                This started back in 2013 when I was still a YouTuber, this was before the Reality TV era and when I knew Larry who's now my Senior Producer who really needs to be promoted to EP (Executive Producer) as well as he's done so much for me over the years and deserves a more of a promotion as he's helped me start this entire journey nearly 5 years ago. Anyways I was just tweeting about Reality TV, Survivor, Big Brother, Big Brother Canada as most of you know that is when BBCAN came out and actually when I met a lot of you and big shoutout to Alyssa on Twitter who I've been friends and she's been a loyal follower of ChrisBOnTheWeb even before the name came to be... LOL.. I met Sean from Sensibly Cynical Podcast I think last year but really do not remember. Getting old over here, slowly hitting 35... smh! Anyways I connected with so many of you, Dusty, Reality Teas (Chris) who is actually on my Staff right now for Big Brother USA! The list is large I cannot name everyone as we've got like 3200 + followers unless that's gone down recently as it fluctuates on a daily basis.  Either way without the Amazing Race, Big Brother, Big Brother Canada, Tough As Nails, The Simpsons, Power Rangers And Survivor fans, we wouldn't be doing what we're doing to this day. We have become a big success because of you guys continuously supporting us through all the ups and downs we have, the laughs and the tears. 

                  I am so happy I met you all and made so many great friends over the years and I cannot thank you all enough. 2013 is a long time ago, 7 years to be exact and I am glad I built a bit of a following in that department before this journey began in February 2015 with the trial runs of talking Reality TV before Everything About Reality TV became a thing and then to go on to merge with the now The CBOTW Show.  I remember when I started to tweet about Reality TV I wasn't getting many hits and with me tweeting about Tough As Nails, I've gotten likes from the Executive Producers and host of Tough As Nails which really surprised me actually. Not just that but connecting with one of my favorite Big Brother Alumni, Talla from Season 1. I remember being on her stream I happen to blurt out the numbers 191999 LOL and she said I saw that! Haha. Her reaction was priceless.  I've connected with other Reality Stars some from Survivor, Amazing Race, Amazing Race Canada. None from Big Brother US yet but never know it could happen. What I am trying to say is without any of the love and support this would of probably gone away.very fast and here we are almost 5 years in still going strong, maybe even stronger then we were before.  That is my throwback story and I had to tell and we've built such a strong amazing community and let's continue to build this community for years to come!

I'm Back To Blogging!

           After several days of not blogging and taking some time off from the blogging and having my staff take it over on the blog here on the website, I have returned! As you know I was under so much stress in the past week and this week, I have dealt with some much drama I just was at a breaking point and I made that decision to walk away for a bit from social media and the website but still do the workload offline. However I was answering messages from friends and I was still active on my personal accounts I.E. Instagram as I was podcasting last weekend with a special guest which drops this weekend on Saturday. Anyways I have been editing the last couple of days and still going at it as this podcast that is dropping is 2 hrs and 28 mins long which probably be less on Audio ONLY but more on Video as any of that content on there will be unedited actually. Also been preparing this week's episode and a bonus episode on Monday hopefully by Sunday we will be announcing when Big Brother is coming on and if it will and also the plan for the YouTube channel. 

            There is a ton of work to be done either way and you probably noticed the last 1.5 days I became a bit more active and took the Twitter over in the last day and a half and that was a sign I was ready to start be active again and that is a good thing cause originally wasn't planning on coming back till Monday next week and taking a week off Social. Thank goodness I have a team to keep an eye on things while I was away. Now I do have to address something on Saturday about the whole YouTube thing as there was concerns with recent changes but I will address all of that Saturday's post and I am writing it this morning.  So I am back and I am raring to go with more content for you guys and excited to what we are going to be bringing to you guys!

YouTube Vs. Instagram TV, Which One Do I Prefer?

               I haven't really talked about this but it came up talking to a friend about this idea and as you all know I have been very active on Instagram TV and people seem to really enjoy my posts on there from time to time. Mind you I am not overly active on there but try to post when I have ideas for videos but I try to be active as much as I can. You all know I was a YouTuber for many, many years from 2008  - 2016 up to my retirement from YouTube and haven't looked at going back anytime soon. This brings me into today's blog post YouTube Vs. Instagram, which one do I prefer? There is a lot of answers to that as you know I did many years on YouTube and I honestly failed as a YouTuber in my opinion as my channel in the end completely went dead. The Entertainment Man Talk Show ended, all I was really doing after the series was Podcasts called "Everything About Reality TV" which you can find on Audio ONLY to this day and also I was vlogging my life which wasn't very interesting honestly to you guys but you seem to tune in to my vlogs either way. I do admit The Entertainment Man Talk Show series was struggling. But now I am back making videos on Instagram TV to what I'm up to, studio tours when things are updated. 


              The difference with having viewers are different between the two, YouTube it is a hard grind to get the subscribers as with Instagram the followers you have, they will be notified when a video is up and I currently got 98 followers and closing in to finally breaking 100, more then I actually saw on YouTube, the most subs I ever got was around 38 subscribers and I actually did break that number ages ago as I became more and more active and I am near 800 photos on the main part of Instagram which is crazy to actually think. I really like Instagram TV as it has more of a chance of followers seeing my videos. YouTube algorithm isn't overly great since YouTube adpocolypse and family friendly. You know I really did consider going back to YouTube for Everything About Reality TV Podcast but I kept on reminding myself with the stuff going on. Also the fact I retired from YouTube that decision to not return is easy for me. 


               The million dollar question you are wondering which one do I prefer? YouTube or Instagram? Well Instagram as I seem to get quite a bit more interaction then I did with my time on YouTube. I really like Instagram and the fact it is connected with my Instagram account I had way before Instagram TV came out, I really like it is intertwined with my account that has photos on it. Now I know Instagram TV, you only have 10 minutes per video but that's enough for me to say what I would like then post it up. I have to say after saying what I had to say, Instagram TV is my preference over YouTube at this point and my Instagram is growing pretty quickly even though it's on a stand still of 98 followers but it is more then I had months ago around the 70 mark so it is work in progress! I can say this, Instagram all the way for me!

Which Social Media Do I Use The Most Currently?

          So you are probably wondering what Social Media? Well besides Facebook for my own personal use, my main go to Social Media for Chris B On The Web at this point is Twitter and is the only social media used for Chris B On The Web.


            As you guys know I've tried a fan page to a point I was trolled or not much activity on the page whatsoever. Also as you know my posts got reported so again that is why I have refused to make anymore groups at this point of time, someone keeps reporting my posts, not that I am bashing Facebook, because I'm not...  I got my reasons why I do not have the Facebook group or the Facebook Page and I am happy with what I got at this point of time. The way I see it, is go on social media that bring you the most success and interaction, it doesn't hurt to try it out if it doesn't work then you can remove it from that social media and work with which ones work the best for you. 


           So which platforms do I prefer to use? Well I liked Facebook but to a point of the post getting reported so Twitter is currently my go to for social media at this point of time and honestly I get a ton more response from it then i did elsewhere, even Google Plus wasn't doing overly great for me at the time, but my choices would be Facebook or Twitter, Facebook as I had ton of support on the group up to the point of being reported constantly from outside the group. Twitter, I get Retweets, replies Likes, you name it on there and I am very happy with the platform and been a solid member since 2011/2012, then the current account since 2013 and I've noticed on Twitter I have grown so much and so fast, it is my number 1 social media outside of my personal FB for friends and family.
