Is The Website Done Being Built Entirely?

The website for the most part is done with being built but you never know with me that I would like something added into the website. All we have to do is build the community and bring in the views to the website and it has done really well 200 - 300 views per day. Yes we may eventually see podcasts added to our network but right now we have the collabs on the website and we have The CBOTW Show on our website. We also have a lounge Chels decided to actually open the chat back up to guests and we will just ban if we really need to. I think we put in everything that we wanna add to the site and we just maneuver around the podcasts and content here on the website. I just do not wanna put a ton more as there is so much room that we can fit onto our Menu Bar so that is always a concern of mine honestly. With the recent change of background as you see on the side that has a sideways "ChrisBOnTheWeb" on the side I just think we have finished building and tweaking the site to our specifications and all we gotta do now is start building the audience and fan base.

So the final question are we done? As I said before I am pretty sure the tweaking of the website will happen still and we will still tweak the website from time to time but for the time being we are not adding new features right now unless you guys request it or have new ideas for the website. I wanna focus on building the audience and bringing more people to the website and yes I am referring to us shifting focus's from the site to the actual content that is on our website. However I am proud of what this website has become and the views it get's on a regular basis and just gotta keep up the hard work with the content and the views will improve on a day to day basis. Anyways that is my post for today and I hope you all have a wonderful day and I will be talking to you guys tomorrow's post and it is an good post coming, I can say that!

Would Chris Really Move Website Providers?

With the recent issues with the back side of the website which is fixed now and things seem to be fine with the website now but I know he went off on the Social's about the issues. I think more then likely it was to address the issues with the website and trust me he wasn't happy about the on going issues with the website. These are the two things that really ticked him off and kind of made him think about a free website again:

- Keywords not sticking: There was a problem when you entered the keywords it wouldn't remain in there. Not anymore anytime we put in keywords it seems to be fixed. For the last I don't know month or two or so that issue seemed to be the # 1 problem where we had to enter it not once, not twice but a few times.

- Blog posts Getting erased at the half way mark of the post: Every time we put in a post, we ended up losing half of the post so our posts were partially dumped as Chris put it technically which is why end of last week we ended up not posting on Friday and almost ended up not posting all weekend long but Google and Blogger seemed to fix the issue very quickly.

- Google Adsense suspending us: Apparently we were suspended for self clicking ads when all the staff and myself have ad blocker on 24-7 so we did not do that so we have ended up being suspended for 30 days which is fine because Chris has removed the ads code for now and he may just delete his adsense and find another way to earn money off the website but we'll see.

With all that being said, every thing is fixed and we are good to go again with posting and all the two issues we have been experiencing is fixed now on. When they updated the layout of the blogger interface it was very buggy and the recent fix has helped and every thing seems very normal again. So Chris is not moving websites. He has put in the long hours to the menu bar and working on perfecting the CSS code to the website and building numerous pages on the website and also building up on the viewership which is like 200 - 300 a day now which is crazy to be honest. Plus he is locked in with his domain for little over 3 more years so he cannot really make a move at this point and I think he will probably renew with blogger as it has been a reasonable price for the .com domain.

Website Is COMPLETED!

As you can tell with my recent post on social media, we have officially completed the website work. Every page is up and running and the entire menu bar is functional and working but just the menu isn't too responsive but it works at some point and going to start work in the coming weeks but honestly that is for my website admin to do as most of the work and design of the menu is complete. As you can see there are two Sections: 'Everything About Reality TV" which houses a ton of pages of podcasts we do.  We finally have our "Other Podcasts" which even includes Power Rangers Collaboration Podcast, Entertainment Man Podcast and the Archives of past podcasts. Trust me we can house more and you never know what is in-stored for the websites moving forward, new projects, new hosts. It took us weeks to get the menu to function and drop down but alas we got it working. Still a couple of bugs in it but in time we will get it working. You can use your arrows and it does help for now.

During the construction phase of the page, noticed the number of views have been up lately which is truly a good thing. I looked at the pages and they all have gotten good views. The Hours we put in, the lack of sleep we have had to endured it was indeed worth the hours of hard work and dedication. I'm surprised this big project took us weeks and got it done. Took a lot of patience and we had a couple of bugs to iron out on the pages as it wouldn't save but that is besides the point as everything is now fine. I hope you guys enjoy the rebuilt menu bar that we worked hard in the last couple of weeks and we're excited for what is next for the website. Any issues, concerns or questions please contact is and we can answer any question or concern you may have.

Working On A New Page Here On The Website!

I never really thought about this ever happening again EVER as you know the team was pretty much stripped down to me only on CBOTW and I have been on my own for the past 2 + years. With the addition of Billy to the list of podcasts and partnership with Rocky, I have started a "Team" Page here on the website. Now the page itself is now complete in the design with the text and images which took me sometime to work on as I wasn't really sure on the way to insert an "image into the table code on the website which is the way I formatted the website without using the normal builder here on the website so this page and majority of the pages on this website is all coded together minus the blog which is a part of the website itself. The rest of the website is made up of entirely code, html code, IFrame, CSS Code, you name it! Even the menu button is all based on code! Cannot say I built this website from scratch pretty much and if you ask me it sure as heck does look professional in a way and probably why the viewership has been up lately on the website so you guys are definitely liking the change that this site has gone through recently. Yes the team page has been finished and tweaked already so that is definitely a great sign in getting it active on the website.

I know what you are going to say... Active? It's not even up and yes I do realize that as I had to do some numerous of tweaks and re-code to the page as some text showed bold so I re-coded part of that page and it seems to look really, really good now. The next phase is to tinker with the menu bar code which I know can be a royal pain in the butt to deal with but I think I got the concept of the menu bar code down.  So over this week I will be working on the menu bar and testing it so if anything goes out of sync do not be alarmed as I probably broke something on the website like I normally do when I build the website. Either way this newly fixed website does look very awesome and I have worked hard over the last few months planning and implementing the code into the site and building this new bar and I swear this probably will be the last time I tinker with the website for a very long time unless a new service or something happens on this website which probably will not be for a long time. Yes I got a plan in the back of my mind but you guys have to wait and see what I mean in the nearby future. When I am ready to release the addition to the menu bar I will announce it publicly, Facebook (Yes I got a Facebook www.facebook.com/ChrisBOnTheWeb) Twitter & Instagram and also here on the blog as well.

The Menu Bar and Changes To The Website Are Finished!

After a couple of months struggling with creating the menu bar here on the website, it is finished. There was a good month or so where I was completely stuck on the website but as you know now it has all worked out in the end where it was the actual design of the website itself. The template was the issue at hand and the reason why it wasn't working this entire time. It never dawned on me as I kept on thinking it was the CSS code that was the entire issue. What do I mean? It was the actual template of the website that was the actual issue so it wasn't a code issue, was a template issue so after switching templates so many times the drop down finally works so it is completely finished and still having a couple of bugs honestly it could just be me for all i know but who the heck knows really knows. Seems to be responsive but it responds too quickly so that could now be the CSS who knows what the entire issue with the website could be or it could just me for all we know so we never know what it could be! One way or another, the major website work to the site has been completed, but there is always room for improvement honestly but we will have to see how I feel and if there is room to improve or not but either way I am happy with the changes.

Now with the changes complete the next phase for the website is to get a second host for Everything About Reality TV and I know there was suppose to be another podcast happening but it is not happening now. However I am going to still work on finding a second host and we will be still pre-recording the episodes as we have been down the road. Down the road there will be a podcast that will be going live every second week but that is definitely down the road not right now. It is in the planning stages over the next year or two so it will take some time. However that's for another post to do later when the time but it is a project I am planning on working on right now. I am happy with the final product and yes you probably noticed on the website I tweaked the CSS as well from red background to a blue background as those are the CBOTW Colors.  One final thing I would like to say about the website over the last week or two you probably noticed an "About" section and gives you a brief history about me and what I have done in the past including "The Video Projects Team" Era which was where I got my start with the online media and also my YouTube career with the team and of course with the change in 2016 to podcasting full time instead of YouTube but it is all there on the about section of this websitehttps://www.chrisbontheweb.com/p/about.html

Menu Bar Update.....

It is time for an update and honestly I have hit a snag in the road. Now I got the drop down to work, however, only Everything About Reality TV show and the collab tab is not showing.  It has been an uphill battle and I think it definitely has to do with the CSS code as it is not in the code itself that is build into the bar itself. I kind of put that to the side and why you currently see the old menu bar which stretches out to the right side right now but I am planning to get working on the menu but it will take me some time but it will be up and down until I figure the issue. I have an idea what is the issue but I will need to pinpoint the issue but hopefully it's an easy fix to the issue. I have already asked around and Quora might be a good place as the blogger forums wasn't much help so I am going to ask around. You have to realize this is the first time with CSS code and building something from scratch such as the menu. This is pretty intense coding I have to do but I am actually learning a lot about it too. I am a pretty fast learner too and have figured out how the heck to do things. However this is the first time, I have hit a snag in the road. I will figure it out eventually. I attached a screen shot of the issue I am having with it. Any website pros out there know why its doing this please shoot me an email via contact.

Also the Podcasts page will be disabled as I will be using the Everything About Reality TV page which is already designed and ready to go. Also the current "Collab" page will be still active just moved under the Podcasts tab which will drop down.  Once it is completely functional then I will announce it on Twitter and Instagram when it is officially functional and ready to go I will let you guys know it is up and running. Any bugs can be reported to me via the contact page which you guys can send me an email through the contact page on this website. I honestly cannot wait to release it and it will open up the website and I want it to be more easier to navigate but I have the podcasts under one tab like I did on the original ChrisBOnTheWeb.com as I had it originally.  So I am trying to get back to the original roots of the website which I wanted to do but I didn't know how to do it but good old Chris (me) has done some research and have gotten places with it but that one issue so that bug has to be worked out before I release the menu. However that is where I am at with things, just hopefully it will be done by summer and the website will be complete.

ChrisBOnTheWeb.com Update

You're all wondering, why the hell is the site taking so long to re-launch ChrisBOnTheWeb.com? Did I quit rebuilding it? Is the project on hold? Was it scrapped? Well I will answer it with a No, it is still being worked on, it is just slower then usual. The website is not scrapped or on hold or I quit the re-building process. Let me tell you there are two of us fixing the site behind the coding of the website and like I said in yesterday's blog post, I was behind on podcasts and let me say after yesterday I am officially caught up to the Friday episode. The schedule I have each and every week it just not allow me to have time to record right now.

Like I said from the get go, that I have no timeline to the re-launch of the site as I have said time and time again, the podcasts is what takes the longest time to put together, each and every season, has so many episodes that need to be placed back onto the website. So right now, I cannot even tell you how much longer the site will take as I am probably at least, almost half way, maybe half way now, I would think I am about near or at the half way mark at this point of the process. Also I have been testing, as each and every page is done, making sure of the SEO is set up the way I want it to look. So between the coding process, I am constantly testing closed site and I have opened the website a bit, I won't lie, I have been teasing you guys and I have probably said it time and time again that I have opened the website. For those who have seen the site open a tad, hope you like the tease of what the site will be when it is fully opened and up and operating. Please do note I am back with my former provider 000webhost, I transferred the site work back there due to the IP Bnanning tool does not work on the other provider so I am back on 000webhost and yes the site will be asleep but it will go down for an hour a day as of 3 am EST. Come January I will be moving over to the more permanent home for CBOTW.

What is going to happen when the site is finished? Well I was thinking of a closed BETA Testing to my former Moderators of the group, so they can help me with finding bugs and problems on the site. Then the site will closed again for fixing any of the bugs on the website, followed by a 12 hour Open BETA for one more quick session to test again, then the site will be closed up for the final bug fixes before the site re-launch is officially announced and the countdown begins then finally the site launches and I will fix any of the site issues on the fly once launched if any do occur or you guys find any, please report them to webmaster@chrisbontheweb.com

Website Announcement!

I know you guys been waiting and waiting for this announcement but here it is! For those who didn't see my Facebook Group, Twitter & Instagram, well ChrisBOnTheWeb.com is COMING Back! That's right after trying to find another web builder to put the website on with the domain I already had since 000webhost failed me for the very last time after having problems and issues with them for the past 3 years now, I decided it was time to move on from 000webhost.  So many days went by as you know the original plan was to stick to this page, the blogger page that is but I dug hard and deep and finally found a provider that works this time around. Least now with this new provider, this site will not be sleeping for 1 hour a day, which means the website is now running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! No strings attached!

Also what is great about switch of providers is having my own email within ChrisBOnTheWeb.com which is chris@chrisbontheweb.com if you would like to reach out to me which is awesome no more using 3rd parties for the emails anymore, well minus my own personal email but I mean professionally, I have the .com email and I prefer this as a professional email system. I have already notified people who have contacted me in the past that this is my new email and any further emails can be sent through that one. I rather have a more professional email then what I had, the yahoo email for the longest time since 000webhost got rid of the email system they had.

Finally on today's post, I think my limitations are as limited to what I had before but this is a new start for me and I am proud to be where I am and knowing I do not have to pay for both the domain and the web builder by using the free builder site and only paying for the domain, so the provider I am with for my domain, I am more then likely going to be using them, renewing ChrisBOnTheWeb.com domain for another 3 amazing years with them. How long will the site will take to build it? Could take 2 weeks, it could take 3 weeks, depending how long it takes for me to rebuild it. I rather take my time with building it then rushing with the entire website and it is a half functional website.

Have a great day!

Why Do I Want To Go Back To School?

There are a lot of reasons, why I wanna go back to school and I am going to talk about it in today's blog post, now that I got time to start writing blog posts earlier with the completion of the website re-building process.

The first reason I would like to give you all for the reason I want to return back to school is I wanna learn, I want to expand my education, I want to learn something that can help me get a job out there in the working world, even if I work from home in the long run. Now what am I planning to take? Well, I am planning on taking web design, as you all know I have been running a website since 2008/2009 and learned the HTML, Javascript and IFrame on my own via the internet and also YouTube as well.

The next reason I wanna give you is finding work here in Ontario and/or Canada is not overly great, it is a tough world out there to find work, I am lucky I had that 4 week job trial but unfortunately quitting after 4 weeks or the contract came to an end. I have made going back to school my number priority to eventually go back to school if finding a job doesn't work out for me.  What steps do I have to take to get to this step? well, I have to possibly go back to high school class for college English in order to apply to the program I want to take at a college but that's OK with me though. It takes baby steps and I know I can get through these small bumps and then move into the world of being a college student once again for the 2 year web design program. It would be our local college I went to for the CICE Program as it would probably fit me better, however I could do online studies from another college from Toronto but not sure if it will best suit me if I did online studies.

I may have had not many reasons for going back to school but the one reason is to try and start earning a living, moving out on my own, being on my own, hopefully get a girlfriend one day. But the most important thing is I want to better my skills at building a website and learning new elements to building a website.
