Made Some Decisions With Events..

I just completed the events list for this year and I had to take out 2 events for this year as I felt like it wasn't a fit for this year. Trust me the decision isn't  easy to make whatsoever but it had to be done and I know some people will not be happy but I am doing what is best for me and Chris B On The Web at this point. Here are the 2 events, I pulled out of for this year:

  • Peony Festival (Locally Here In My Hometown)- Since it lands on Father's Day this year, it will not be a fit into the schedule as I wanna spend time with my dad and is more important, however we could slip it in but I really rather spend time with my dad, as it is more important. Honestly my dad is getting older and I wanna spend as much time with him as possible and there is plenty of other events out there throughout this year to go to.
  • Autism Celebration (Also Locally Here)- Last year I felt like there wasn't a great turnout and I just had a really hard time deciding but I have decided to move on from this event. Don't get me wrong, I loved going to the event each and every year but I wasn't too pleased with the turnout. Now if Kerry's Place emails me about it then I could possibly go but right now there is no plans to go to the event this year but like I said if there is high request for me to return, I can put it on the schedule but I need to hear it from you guys first.

That is the two events I am not going to as I said this was really hard decision to make in the way of events that will not work for me this year. I do not like making decisions like this but again I need to do what is best for me and CBOTW.  I am being honest how I really feel on this. Sometimes it is best to just move on and I think that is what I need to do. What is the plan for the future? I am already ahead of my schedule by printing off 25 copies and putting it into a package to hand out publicly eye, especially people start chatting with me as well, this is a great way to get it out there is by the word of mouth. I wanna have 2 different ways of promoting CBOTW and the two ways is by going 1) to events locally and in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area and 2) by promoting it out in the public eye. I am taking a different direction this year and hopefully this will indeed help me in the long run of getting known but I think I have gotten well known this year. You never know, people could recognize me in the public and end up chatting with you guys. If you see me publicly here in Ontario, do not be afraid to say hi. As for the events, I am happy with the decision  I think the lineup I have which you will find out on Tuesday's blog post to what is the final decision on the events.

Broke A Bunch of Records With My Fit Bit Last Week!

A Week ago today when I was in Toronto as you know by now as I have spoken in the last couple of days things that has gone on in the last week now. I broke a ton of records. I finally hit my 9 times of 250 steps which I rarely get all of em on a daily basis. I also broken over 12000 steps which is from time to time I can get to that number but last week I walked and I walked! Which I normally don't do. Average is normally between 4000 and 6000, sometimes more depending on my day if I am in the studio or out and about or gone to an appointment that is when the steps are really active but I try each and everyday to actually get steps in each and every day regardless if I am out or not. I even got my 250 steps per hour which is 9 times in a day so technically 9 hours of the day and I have reached that strive many times in the last while. I also burned a ton of calories but still made no different I ended up gaining a pound or two so that didn't really help at all. However it was a good feeling to be very active, especially adventuring in Toronto with my dad as we were all over the place throughout the day and honestly it was different from any other trip that was have been on in Toronto. Being in T.O gives me great opportunity to exercise and be out and about which is really good.

Regardless a week ago, I am proud of myself with the achievements and when I say achievements, I mean I unlocked a bunch of achievements and I noticed my phone going off when back on WIFI I was getting emails, I believe about 2 or 3 emails to be exact that I actually got so I got a few of them to notify me of my achievements and trust me it feels good, it is a good feeling to have, knowing I have accomplished a lot in one day on my last day off before going back to Chris B On The Web. Do I think I will ever beat 18k in steps down the road? I really doubt it as it is a tough number now to beat to this day as it is a very big number but anything is possible and I would once again have to do a good long non stop walking in order to break 18,000 steps at this point. I really do not think I will break that anytime soon like I said the number is way to big for me to surpass. No I am not being negative just feel like it will be a tough goal to do right now but I do have some trips to T.O coming up with Dave in March and in April so I am sure I will be breaking 10k easily again!

Had A Bad Experience With Pizza Pizza at Toronto, Union Station

As I said on the blog post this morning, I had a bad experience with Pizza Pizza and usually I have a good experience with Pizza Pizza, nice fresh tasting Pizza but this time in Toronto not so much. This is my fault for wanting a Pizza slice but how the heck am I suppose to know they didn't warm up the slice properly. It was clearly cold as the pineapple and the toppings, the entire slice was cold! Trust me I was cursing the f word under my breath it was f***ing cold. Yes I pulled a Gordon Ramsay on this. Also the other thing that I was not happy with was the fact that it was burned to a crisp on the bottom and trust me I can taste the burnt dough. I thought this is so burnt a golfer can tee off with it. Yes I have learnt some dandy comments from Chef Ramsay, Hells Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Hotel Hell, 24 Hours of Hell and Back. I mean it shouldn't be burnt even warmed up so they must of kept it in too long but I was not one bit impressed at all.

I actually contacted Pizza, Pizza but yet to hear back from them which really I could care if they did as that was the last straw. After this experience, I kind of was turned off by the quality control of the food and already stated I would not be back there in the very near future.  I like Little Caesars Pizza or Domino's, however Dominoes we had a problem with it. There is a couple of places I or my parents or family can go and there is one place here locally that is good but expensive but worth a try. Anyways that is not what this post is about it is about the fact the experience, I just do not know if I would eat at a Pizza Pizza again and I realize this is only at Union that I had this issue and any other store would be different experience. Different store, different  experience!

New Food Court At Union Station, Toronto

Back on Monday, I got the chance to go into Toronto for the day for my 3rd day off from Chris B On The Web as you know I took some time off from Chris B On The Web as I really did need it and I was pretty stressed out at the time. There is a lot going on here in the studio with keeping up with the podcasts, the website domain trying to get back which mind you nothing has happened yet. Anyways the day consisted of going over to St. Micheal's Cathedral for Noon mass. Also we originally were suppose to have lunch over at Eaton Center which was our original plan but I kind of came up with the idea to go back down to Union Station and eat. My dad had a bagel and for me as I already had bread I had to have Pizza Pizza which was not a great experience and I will be talking about this on the blog later on and trust me I have a lot to say about the experience overall.

Before we went to Mass though, we actually took a look at the food court and I wish I took a picture of it honestly but I just didn't think of it as it was out of site out of mind and I just did not really think about it honestly. I was overwhelmed with the way it was setup, I was quite impressed actually. Also the lady at the Chinese food gave us a sample which was Chicken with sweet and sour sauce and it was good. There was also McDonalds (meh), Perogies place as well. There was a Thai place as well, Timmie's (Tim Horton's). I am sure I am forgetting some but it was really nice and I never really knew that the downstairs existed but it could of not been there and dug out but I do not know as the Bay Concourse wasn't there originally from what my dad mentioned back on Monday.  But either way I really did enjoy the new food court and plan on eating there again down the road, well minus the experience I had which like I said I will end up up today at 1 pm EST.

Christmas Market 2018

Thursday evening I went to the Christmas Market with my dad and mind you, getting there wasn't easy as we got stuck at Rouge Hill Station for over 20 minutes, so it was putting stress on me especially and I was really trying to be patient which is unusual I am the complete opposite where I am not patient but this time around I was really trying my hardest which was why I was in one of my moods. I wasn't having any of it or putting up with people whom were shoving me around without an "excuse me" whatsoever. I tell you people are either in a rush or just plain rude. I had second thoughts about doing this again next year but I remember that Dave who is earning his Staff tag back so I cannot disappoint him at all with that promise to actually come to the event. I think I was in the heat of the moment with this entire train dilemma.  I am proud of myself trying to stay positive and being patient through this, not usually the case I really lose my patience but I am starting to turn over a new leaf. We had to take the bus from Rouge Hill which lengthened our trip by a mile and a half like literally! We got there on fumes meaning we were starving by the time we got there and was our number 1 priority to eat first before anything else.

So after we ate which we both had poutine with chicken on top which I know sounds odd but it was good actually. I ate the chicken fast enough and I didn't know this till my dad mentioned it but there was curry in the spice which made it even better and plan on trying that myself down the road with future Chicken Fingers when my parents go away again as I do not mind a little heat to the Chicken at all and I have had curry powder before in Tai food at my late aunts before she passed. We then looked around and we got a picture taken in a sleigh all we needed was hats and white beards. We looked around as well and listened to a song or two and saw the merry go round and ferris wheel and brings back memories as a kid. We had a good time despite my mood and I wasn't having it that night as I was miserable and this entire train trip in as I was worried we were going to have to turn around and just go home. I wanted to get a refund as I wasn't happy but it wasn't go transit it was the signal that busted over in Scarborough Go Station. I tried to make the best of the Market and there is nothing we can really do about the situation and had to make the best out of this event, maybe next year will be a better trip in.

McCafe Express Service Review....

Making this my last post about my trip to Toronto with Dave as you guys are probably getting sick of me talking about the trip honestly and I promise you this is the final post and hope you do enjoy today's blog post as its not a food review this time, its more of a service review at a restaurant.  What restaurant well McCafe which is part of the McDonald's restaurant chain.  Now the lineup itself was long enough and we had to catch the 213 pm train as the train only ran every hour that weekend due to track work in Durham so we were quite in time to getting food and he wanted to grab something small and so did I as well. At first we had the option of going through the express option with the express order I guess you would call it I guess or the line and risk us missing the train . We did line up to order but then we made that decision it would be too long so we ordered at the touch screen and mind you it went much faster then we expected and able to finish up eating in time for the Go Train.

Now what did I have? I had a grilled cheese on Multi Grain brain which was really super good, so soft, tender with the very gooey cheese it was very delicious and to me that is my kind of comfort food. I am not one for usually to eat Multi Grain bread but I am glad I tried it because it was indeed really good. I love how the cheese was just gooing out of the bread which means it was was cooked enough to melt the cheese in the sandwich and it wasn't done like you would do it at home. It was done in a sandwich press as I can tell by the grill marks so it is so obvious that is how it was done but it doesn't matter how it was done it was really good and delicious too. The price was reasonable and wasn't overly expensive and no fast food place is really too pricey to be honest.  Would I do this again? Of course the service, especially  the speedy service as I said before we were in a mad rush as we had a Go Train to catch at 213 in the afternoon and it was an easy solution for us to grab some food before we head out back home, mind you it was the only real choice that we had or it was either that and go back out the door, miss this train, wait one more extra hour for a bus which would actually suck as I was crabby by that time of the day. We made the right choice and no regrets whatsoever, service gets a 10/10 in my books!

Got To Meet Big Brother Canada 6 Houseguests!

Yesterday, I got to go to Toronto and meet former houseguests from Big Brother Canada, Season 6. Now the train trip was a bit rocky at first we got to the Oshawa Go Station, we were told the train isn't running from here till 10:41 am which really ticked me the heck off. So we were shuttled to Whitby and we got there and we missed the train and I was pissed the heck off at the point I just wanted to go home but was worth all the stress getting there. The bus driver was going to drive us all the way to Union Station if he had to but ended up shuttling us to Pickering to catch the train which we did and we were finally on our way into Toronto. Even my friend Dave called Go Transit all pissed off too. I even threatened to email Go Transit but that never even happened.

We got there and had to walk 20 minutes to where we were meeting the houseguests. We got there we first met Andrew, Olivia, Erica, Maddy and Veronica which they were all nice and very interactive and we got to mingle with them and talk to them. We talked to Erica, Andrew a lot too. We even mentioned the Kars on King here to Andrew and he will definitely check it out if he has the time which is cool. I told him I worked at the event as a volunteer. Anyways we were there for about 2 hours and had a good time. We even got to talk to Trevor one of the Producers of the show so i got an selfie with him too! Pretty incredible experience for me as a super fan and a podcaster which that was brought up once during that. I even pulled out my CBOTW Tags ha-ha! So much for undercover work for this blog post today.  Yes I was under cover but hey may as was promote myself while I'm out and next year I will have fully updated links to everything especially now that collabs are now The CBOTW Show Podcast.

Anyways we had a good time, we were a little cranky in finding a place to eat and the place we originally going to go to we decided to not do it as it was a 20 minute walk from where we were, but after quite a search we found a place to go for lunch and we used the self order screen to order our food which was easier at McCafe at Union Station and if you are wondering what I had it was a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on Multi Grain which was delicious which I had two food reviews for you this week McCafe and Timmies Waffle Breakfast Sandwich which will be coming out at some point during the week when I got time to sit down and do the full review but overall such a fun and exciting day for the both of us!

Presto Mishap Last Weekend At The Royal Winter Fair (Throwback Thursday Story)

As you all know back on last Saturday, I went to The 96th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto. You all do know that everything at the Royal went fine, there was no problem with that which brings me up to towards the end where I just lost it and got mad out of nowhere. I let my head wander on our way back to the Horse Palace and that is when I realized I did indeed forgot to tap out on my Presto Card. What is a presto? I put money on it that I can tap on and off my local transit but also Go Transit, TTC and other transit systems that use the Presto system here in Ontario or the Greater Toronto Area. At first I was livid, pissed off. Not at my dad, I was more pissed off at myself and I ended up putting myself down, calling myself stupid that I indeed forgot to tap off. We all make these mistakes but my main concern was the fact I was going to lose money on my card due to this very stupid and idiotic mistake I made. Yes it really sucks but it is just another life lesson I have made and I need to learn to remember and I know at these events it can be hard to remember everything. There is so much that processes in my head during these and so much to see and do there so I can see where my head was wondering off on me. Also the fact I was so excited to be there and see what the fair gave us this year.

There is a second side of this, Presto has changed things around where it cuts it off at a certain point when you forget to tap off let's say from where I live all the way into Exhibition Place in Toronto, they will cut off the amount at Toronto Union Station which is great. They never use to have this before and before it was really dumb the way they had it and one of my former staff from back in the YouTube era that helped me made the same mistake as I did but he had to get the amount put back onto the card but I didn't. I re tapped and tried to tap twice but it wouldn't let me so it automatically tapped off for me when I made the mistake. I like the new system they got now, it is so much better and I didn't have to call up Presto to fix my screw up. It would of taken me a day or two for it to get back on and I would of had to re fill my presto card at the ticket booth. If Exhibition ticket office wasn't opened we would of had to take the streetcar to Union to re fill it which meant extra time in Toronto itself but least that wasn't the case as my dad looked it up on our way home on the train. Was a eventful day and even with this slight mistake that was made I am going to learn from it and not make this mistake again in the near future.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair 2018

I got to go to The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair with my dad and I had my Media Pass this year once again which I appreciate the Media Pass Staff giving me the pass once again this year and it was a great time indeed. So we left the house, which we were originally going to be leaving from Oshawa but we wanted hot drinks and a treat to get our morning started obviously. So we ended up in Whitby and we got there and I had to add on to my Presto which I will be doing a throwback Thursday story this week about a Presto card mishap during the fair. Anyways the lady there whom mind you was so helpful to me but she told us that there are no trains going into or from Oshawa/Whitby stations for a reason I yet to find out but just looked and apparently it is happening all weekend long with hourly service which would of really put us behind on schedule if we missed the train we would of had to wait an entire hour which would of stunk.

So we got at Exhibition Place at a reasonable time and we had a bit of time to look around before the Royal Horse Show begun. We looked at the animals first, the sheep and goats and I thought about my teach Mr. Plishka's comment about the goats or my friend Dougie whom use to call me an "Old Goat" ha ha. , We also saw the cows as well. Now mind you we rushed the cows but went back through in between and I will get into that shortly.  As you see on the left of the text content I got a cow actually posing for the picture

which is very rare to happen. There was Milking Short Horn, Areshire, Holsteen, Jersey Cows, Angus beef Cows, you name it! Also they had goat judging going on around where the goats, rabbits were. Mainly it was goats in the one area. We then went to the Royal Horse Show which is a tradition with my dad and I, we always go to the Horse Show as it is now a part of the entire experience. The Horse show also included Jumping Speed Competition. We went back into agricultural show floor, they had Horse equipment, saddles, boots, blankets. Also they had one amazing BBQ and quite expensive @ $5,000 but it was huge and really nice! They had Apple Dumplings as well and booths from Muskoka, Hawberry Farms, Thompson Strawberry Farms and much more from local farms as well. Albion Hills farms was there and their pizza looked so amazing and smelled good. They had the Wheat, both bunched up and the grains itself. Also barely, soybeans, oats which horses love and also Corn! They once again had peppers & tomatoes  plants this year which was different. They had chickens with the eggs this year which I need to do some research on that this week. Also the Butter Sculptures which there wasn't wasn't many but remember this was the start of the Royal and very much early in the 10 days of the Fair but watching them sculpt the butter is so amazing, I could sit there all day watching it. The cows were being judged and I tried from the other side of the ring to get a picture but it wasn't easy but got one from the west side of the ring. Also there was Pigs, the mother with the young pigs but the younger pigs weren't piglets they were fairly good side now. There was Weaner Pigs, baby calves and some of the them were actually nice and fury and I managed to get pictures but you can check out my Instagram for more pictures which I will be posting up today throughout the entire day into the evenings I will post up some stuff too.  Now back to the horse show, we missed the Percheron Jumping Competition but that's OK. Also entertainer Pogo Champs which was really cool to see and my dad was talking to me about Pogos back when he was younger. They also had the Clydesdale two horse team as well.  They had the Single Road to Wagon and also Percheron two wheel cart which I wasn't expecting the wheels of the cart to be that big and never seen these before. Also the last performance we saw was Guy Mclean with his horses and I remember one of the horses name was Lighting.

Finally we went to the Horse Palace as we decided to not stay and watch the Belgium 6 horse team at the Royal Horse Show however after walking around the upstairs of the Horse Palace, we managed to actually see the Belgium 6 horse team leaving but not just 1 but all 6 teams we came from 2 different directions where we were, the left side of the picture on the left and where you see the 6 horse team coming from more in the middle to the left side. Sorry for the bright pictures, I gotta learn how to take better pictures in the lighting but you get the idea where I'm coming at with the picture but it was indeed really neat to see this happen especially when we were present. We saw on our way out, a herd of cows with people directing them, maybe just walking em around a bit, not sure but was cool and you will have to check out my Instagram today with more pictures. Overall was a great day despite the train mishap and us being shuttled to Ajax from Whitby but it was all worth it in the end at the end of the day! Cannot wait to return next year.

Ukrainian & Polish Festival 2018 In Toronto

Yesterday, I got the opportunity to go to two festivals, the Ukrainian & Polish Festival, yes tons of food and definitely a weight gainer as you know I am on a diet right now but I took yesterday as one of my fat days for the festival and I am allowed that once and a while and yesterday was one of those days. So we left at around 10 am in the morning, drove down to York Mills Subway station and got on from there. We had to transfer at Bloor to the Bloor Danforth Line all the way over to Jane for the festival. Yes I realize it is a long way to go but worth it in the end. We got there and started to look around and we turned around and there was the parade which is do a parade that they do each and every year to launch the festival and as you can see above, there is the start of the parade. Next we walked down the street looking at some of the booths there, so many political tables which I do not know why they have to even campaign at this event as we are going into another election which will be municipal. Anyways we grabbed some food, this year we had perogies and Latke which are potato pancakes.  We finished looking around and headed on out from festival 1.

Then we headed our way to the Polish festival off of Roncesville in Toronto, Ontario and it was a lot to take in as it goes a very great stretch down the street. We heard some great music, Polka Music to be exact and also they had dancing as well which I have have seen polish dance before at the General Sorkorski Hall here, locally last year during Fiesta Week. As for dinner we had polish sausage on a bun which the bun was so fresh and the sausage itself was really tender and great. Another great year at both of the festivals and looking forward to going back next year with my dad once again as both him and I do this each and every year. It is always fun to go even though, there is tons of walking involved with it but it is good exercise and glad to be away from the studio for the day.

Events Start Next Week (I Cannot Wait!)

The hard and long months are here as I start going to tons of events for either Chris B On The Web or Promoting Chris B On The Web. All I know is I am ready to go and all of this goes down a week tomorrow, (Saturday, September 15th, 2018) with both the Ukrainian Festival and also the Polish Festival so I will be more then busy that weekend as events start and this is a week and a few days before I leave for Minnesota for 6 days for a wedding so it is a great way to start the events off this year. I have been covering the Ukrainian and Polish event since 2014, yes even when I was still back on YouTube I vlogged the event and but now is a little different with pictures and written text but that's OK I enjoy either of the two of the events. So I will be attending this event all day long and I have been excited for this phase of the year and this event in particular and look forward to eating some amazing food once again. I forget what I ate last year but probably the same thing as last year I will eat again I am sure.  Then the next event probably will be Autism Celebration which I actually do not have a date for it yet. Followed by that will the Apple Festival that is next, then the Royal Winter Fair as well. As for the parades I am not sure which ones I have scheduled nor if I will be at the one here this year or not, unless I get an email to volunteer but I hope I could attend the event to cover it with Chris B On The Web. I want to attend the Port Perry Parade to make up for not going to Tyrone due to the fact it's actually on my birthday this year.

Fall is officially here and the fun is just about to begin for me and I know I will enjoy the event and I do realize I had a job interview and I may have to cancel but I will let you know as of next week what is the plan so this event is schedule but I may have to cancel going to the event due to work duties does come first so I know I will make the right decision when it comes to events. Yes I wanna work again as it has been nearly 3 years and it is time for me to start earning money again. That will help me with continuing on with Chris B On The Web for sure. So anyways, I am once again rambling once again but I will let you guys know what is what soon. If I do not hear anything by a week today, then I will be attending but like I said you guys will know couple of days in advance!

Toronto Trip (June 30th, 2018)

This was only planned a few days in advance and I was actually expecting to be in my studio working on Chris B On The Web and I knew with this being the long weekend, I made the executive decision to take the long weekend off from Saturday (yesterday) till tomorrow (Monday) so I will be only active on this blog ONLY for the next 24 hours or so while things here at the studio are very quiet and not much going on here till first thing on Tuesday morning. So I got to go into Toronto yesterday for the later half of the day into the evening in Toronto, with my dad obviously and I wasn't sure what we were going to do.

So we left around 2 pm EDT, we first stopped at the Catholic Book Store so I could actually get a new book cover for my church book as I lost which probably can be a throwback Thursday story for another day to tell you guys as it was an ridiculous story and totally my fault for not realizing to pick it up but I will tell you guys this on another day, another time. After that we went to Yorkdale mall to park and they told us no TTC parking like WTF... Where in the heck do we park? Like seriously! So we ended up driving up Allen Road North all the way to Finch Station and down. We got there, got on the subway and went down to North York Station and got off and visited Mel Lastman Square for a bit. Saw the fountain there and also they were also setting up for Canada Day Celebrations today as well.

Then we went to church via the 97 Young Street Bus down to Lawrence Avenue area. After mass we went down to the lake, had dinner, I had a polish sausage and a Gatorade  as well. While eating dinner, we actually heard a whistle, well I did and I knew it was the Trillium Ferry and it happened to run to the Islands and back but my dad thought it was only on a cruise but we decided to do the Ongaria ferry to Hanlans Point and back and they had 5 ferries, 1 on Wards, 2 on Center Island and 2 on Hanlan's Point as it was very busy at the island. We know next time to try and get the Trillium Ferry if we happen to hear it's 108 whistle go off again in the nearby future. Finally to end the day we had Gelato which is a less fattening version of ice cream but hey it was very tasty to have and I enjoy it.

Happy Canada Day To All The Canadian's out there!

What I Did On My Day Off Yesterday!

As you all know I was off yesterday, I just needed a break from it all, the stress with all the work load being piled up on me. So my dad, my niece and nephew which I approved them coming along, I wouldn't say no to them coming along with us any day of the week, so they came along as they had the day off of school due to a P.A. Day and we went to Toronto for the day. We took the GO Train into Toronto so it was easier to get home quite quickly and I will get into that shortly as something did happen on the way home. We got into Toronto, had a quick lunch at Subway, saw the Rogers Center dome opening for the baseball game little later on for the Blue Jays Vs The Orioles.

We got onto the Island we went to Centreville and went on a few rides, The Antique Cars which as you can see on the right side I wasn't driving, that was my nephew who was the driver as he was driving a little erratically but with me coaching him, he got better very quickly and is a great listener when I try to help him improve on things. But he did extremely well with the driving of an old antique car like this one. Also it was quite difficult to get my fat rear end into the seat of this car as it was a tight squeeze and hard also with my bad back as well. Also we went onto the Swan Ride and I steered the swam around with my niece. We then had ice cream and headed back to the ferry and we were on our way back home to Durham Region, Ontario and the next part of my day continues.

We got back home just for a minute for a pit stop break and we were back out the door to go to my brother and sister in Law's for dinner. We had veal Parmesan, Fucilli noodles with red or white sauce, also stuffed Portabello Mushrooms which I tried it even though I am not a big Mushroom fan but I loved it and I would eat it in the nearby future. I played Minecraft on the PS3 and I still totally do not like it on PS3 whatsoever because of the very slow moment in the game and my nephew Nathan's chest wasn't opening when I had it open before so something must of happened. I felt bad I lost my niece's horse she had and my nephews one fire aspect sword which I was ready to walk out the door but I didn't. I stayed and built my nephew a ice berg for his model Lego Titanic which mind you it took me a while to try and figure out the actual dynamics of building it out of Lego for him but he very much appreciated me doing that for him as well. That was my day, it was a busy day and I really enjoyed it but time to get back to work today and tomorrow, then planning one last day off then getting down to the nitty gritty of things!

Happy Easter!

First thing I would like to say on this blog post for today is Happy Easter! Hope you all have a wonderful Easter with your family. I love this holiday just like Thanksgiving & Christmas because I love being with my family and spending time with them during the holiday season and being around with the people I love. I admit I am excited to be taking a break from this chaos and like I said this morning at 215 am EST, I have been busy leading up to Easter Sunday which is today. I want to talk about it today briefly.

Tuesday I went to the Chrism Mass with my dad as that is our tradition each and every year and we consider it father/son time with each other. On our walk from Union we stopped at the St. Stephan's Chapel where our former Pastor Fr. Guenter is in charge of running the chapel during the weekdays and we got to see him and chat with him for a little bit before we continued on our way. We stopped at the Eaton Center for a quick drink then we went on to St. Micheal's Cathedral Basilica for the Chrism Mass which our Cardinal, Cardinal Collins presided at the mass. We saw a few of our former seminarians and pastors of parishes we visit here and there as well. We then went to St. Lawrence Market for Fish and chips for me Clam Chowder & Chips.

Now Thursday, had the Holy Thursday Mass locally with our Auxiliary Bishop for our area so we remained in Oshawa for Holy Thursday Mass and Adoration that night. Good Friday, we once again traveled back into Toronto for the Good Friday Service for 3 pm EST which this is one of the traditions my dad and I do every year. Usually Good Friday's we at at St Paul's Basilica and Easter Vigil we are back at St. Micheal's Cathedral.

So The Easter Vigil I dressed up nice, shirt, tie and sweater and we headed to St. Micheal's Cathedral. Now you probably wonder with my back is so so right now, how I managed with the sore back but I managed, don't worry I managed. The mass was beautiful, the music was beautiful they really decorated the parish really nice for the Easter celebration. He is truly risen! Hallelujah!

Lastly once again, I really hope you all have a very happy and safe Easter and enjoy your Easter with your family. I sure will! I will do a blog post about it tomorrow about my time with my family.

Favorite Events, I Have Been To!

There has been many events, I have enjoyed going to, even with events that I do not even go to anymore that made this list of events, I really enjoyed going to but didn't go back due to circumstances.

The very first event, would be the event, I have been going for many years minus 2015 & 2017 due to certain circumstances those two years but 2018 is to be promising, especially this year which has been already very productive with 2 collaboration requests, 1 collab with a friend of mine, an interview with a friend as well. Lots to promote at Autism Celebration this year, so I will be back at the event this year!

Second event, I have been going to for many years, even before this online media journey even started, I am talking about The Royal Winter Fair. I only missed one out of all the years as I got to the fair and I got really ill to a point I had to go home early, which I was disappointed by but I've gone to the Royal every year since that one bad year with having the flu.

My 3rd event I love going to is the old 50s festival which is now named something else apparently but we don't go to it, due to the fact it is on the weekend of fathers day and my dad is normally busy with going to golfing on the Saturday and watches the PGA (U.S. Open Golf Tournament) we are unable to go but some years, they place it earlier, so we get the chance to actually go to it.

Very next event, I have to put on this list is the Polish/Ukrainian Festival, we've gone every year minus those 2 years of constant rain each and every year, ending up doing our own Polish/Ukrainian festival with the food. Love going to this event each and every year and wouldn't miss it for the world!

Finally on my list is the Tyrone Parade of lights, gone every year, minus 1 - 2 years due to either forgetting the parade of lights with the tractors were on or it was based on the bad weather once again. in the recent years I've gone to it minus this year's as it runs on my birthday, so I will not be going but will go again next year for sure.

Well there you have it, my list of events I really enjoyed or do enjoy going to each and every year, I'm sure there are some I would like to add but it would make this post way to long for you guys to read but these are the basic ones I've gone to and enjoy going to and will be back to it this year,

Have a great afternoon!

Toronto Christmas Market @ Toronto Distillery District 2017!

So last night, more like Thursday night, I got to go to the Distillery District in Toronto for the Toronto Christmas Market with my dad and this was the first time for us going to this ever and we heard about this last year and wanted to go but apparently it ended before Christmas but this year it goes up to the day before Christmas. We traveled to Toronto Via Go Train as it is the fastest way into the city, due to traffic during the rush hour time it would not be too good if we drove in we would of been stuck in traffic and there later then we were on Thursday Night.

So we got there, we took the subway to King Station and the streetcar over to the Distillery District. We got there and went in and I was amazed by all the lights at the distillery/Toronto Christmas Market, the red, the white lights. As you can see above, the white and red lights. Also as you see in the picture above I had a picture with me behind the white star which makes me like a star I guess. They had booths with small snow globes, also Christmas decorations as well. Their were some with food or snacks like a grilled Cheese stand, poutine which I had a poutine with Montreal Smoked Meat which is a French-Canadian kind of dish here in Canada. Also they got a huge tree as you can see on the left side of the post with my dad sort of under the tree. We had a great night, minus the transit booting us off as it was going out of service which it could of gone out of service at the loop and we could of waited for another streetcar to head back to Union Station but oh well, it is what it is and we managed to get home around 930 pm that evening and boy I was exhausted but yet I stayed up till 1 or 2 am in the morning which I haven't slept well but I felt relaxed after a fun evening.

Favorite Things I Like To DO In Toronto

There are several things I like to do in Toronto and in today's blog post this is what I like to do in Toronto:

1) Go to the Toronto Islands, as a kid, I was always and constantly on the Island or even riding the ferry there and back but I am always at the island and why it has made the list on today's blog post.

2) Chrism Mass/Christmas Mass/Easter Vigil at St. Micheal's Cathedral: For many years, been going to the Chrism Mass, Easter Vigil Mass, also the Midnight Mass at St. Micheal's Cathedral which now has become a tradition with my dad and I and we do not miss it year after year.

3) The Royal Winter Agricultural Winter Fair: Since probably since I was a kid or close to my teens, I have been to The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair every year from when my dad and I started going to the Royal minus the one year we went and I was sick as a dog with a flu bug.

4) Polish/Ukrainian Festival: Every year for at least the past 5 years now, my dad and I go to the Ukrainian Festival, followed by the Polish Festival which is a back to back festival, so you can say I come home on a full stomach, because I did have a full tummy by the end of it. We have gone for the last 5 or 6 years minus the last 2 years due to the fact it rained 2 years in a row but usually the festival is on the schedule for ChrisBOnTheWeb.

5) Greek Festival: Up to last year, I have attended to the Greek Festival for many, may years since the later 1990's with my dad and had tons of fun but after last year with it being busy and people shoved me around and telling me off, I didn't plan on going this year because of what happened. I would like to try it again next year but it made the list.

6) Toronto Blue Jays Games: Love the Jays, I am a Jays super fan since I was little and yes I was around when they won both World Series in 92 and 93. Haven't gone to a game in a few years.

7) Toronto Argonauts:  It has been many years since the last Argo's football game and I had so much fun and since they have moved to BMO Field on the old grounds of the former Exhibition Stadium and it is time for me to return to a game or 2 each season and yes the Argos are in the Playoffs this year as the East is weak but that's for another blog later.

8) The Canadian National Exhibition (The CNE): I love the CNE, the rides, entertainment, food, the buildings, the food building and it goes on and I haven't been there in many years and would like to go back but then again I have to save up the money to go, but think next year I am going to be planning to attend The CNE.

That is about it for my list, I have more but it is an endless list and probably missed a bunch of favorite places in Toronto that I never mentioned but if I remember I could continue the list on another blog post. Until the next post have a great night!

Ukrainian & Polish Festival 2017

I know I am late on blogs and right now due to my very hectic schedule and catching up on podcasts and I have decided that blog posts for right now will be sporadically until the website is back up and running and this is one of the toughest decisions I had to make with Chris B On The Web but it is what it is right now.

So with that now out of the way as you know I went to the Ukrainian and Polish Festival and it was so much fun to go to in the past, I had to return to it. One good thing about it is I didn't get pushed about like I did in the Greek Festival and people telling to move. We started at the Ukrainian Festival in the Bloor Village. Was a busy festival, more busier then it has been years ago when we were there the last time. The food was so amazing, had Chicken Shish Kebab, note it wasn't breaded like a normal Shish Kebab is, however it tasted sooo good, it practically fell apart and melted in my mouth, it was cooked perfect. On top of the chicken kebabs, I had perogies with potato and cheese and it was so good as well. My dad and I saw the parade which was part of the opening ceremonies of the festival, the outfits were so beautiful, the music I absolutely loved, I felt like I got a taste of what living in Ukraine is like.

After that we took a detour through my dad's old neighbor where he grew up as a kid as we had plenty of time to spare between festivals for travel time so we took a detour down to Roncesville. When we got there it was packed and different from years ago... We saw some awesome old cars, Oldsmobile, Mustang, you name it! We crossed the street into the festival and as we started heading south in the village of Roncesville and first thing that struck my attention was the Polish desserts and I haven't had a dessert in a long time, due to my on-going diet right now to get below 200 pounds and nowhere close, currently at 220 pounds at the moment. So my dad and I agreed to come back and grab a donut on our way to the streetcar and I will get to it shortly. We stopped at the first of 2 stages where a group playing polka music and also had people dancing and I was getting into the dancing mood with the polka music. We continue on walking at the festival and we stopped at the second stage they had set up at the festival which had more dancing and of course I took pictures during the festival. Just love the dancing in the festival and I would love to learn the dances as I absolutely love the music as well. My late Aunts Margaret and Maria are from Slovakia and my Aunt Maria told me she can walk into Poland as the town she is from is right at the border of Poland, I had to share that little story with you guys in today's blog. Finally we got to the end of the village and we went back up on the other side of the street and back up to grab some food.  What did we grab for an early dinner, well since we got perogies and kebabs my dad had a Polish sausage and Latke which a potato pancake is called in
Europe. Now you are going to ask me, how was it, it was delicious! It tasted so good, just like food you make at home from scratch... One thing I wish they had was mustard for the sausage but its OK, it was fine without the mustard, I cannot be picky. In conclusion I had a really good time and I was tired by the time I got home and I was ready to hit the hay by the time I was home. I again apologize for not posting up sooner, as you know I was trying to catch up on podcasts and of course my ailing chrisbontheweb.com needs major attention and repairs. I will be talking about it more later in a update blog post and the schedule for Everything About Reality TV. Speaking of that #EverythingAboutRealityTV is currently trending on Twitter which is amazing. But thank you for your patience during these hard rough patches Chris B Is Going Through and I will be posting up another one later.

Have a good night,

Chris

My Crazy Trip To Toronto- What A Blast!

Sunday, I got to get away from all of this craziness/stress and yes I admit to being a tad over stressed getting caught up and I am now currently on schedule for this current week. But yesterday did me some wonders and got me away from the Chris B On The Web Studios and getting out in "The Big Smoke", "The Big T.O." aka Toronto. I was there about a week or so ago but that's OK, it is good to get out and take pictures and get content for a blog post. Most of the time i hid my name badge, but had it on the other half of the time.  I did most of the planning and I will explain as you get further into  reading tonight's blog post.

So we got on the bus from the Don Mills down to Pape Subway then the Pape Bus down in the industrial area of Toronto, also where studios for filming and we think we saw where a movie or TV show was being recorded as we saw trailers so we never know. Once we got down to the waterfront we got off where the college or university also 102.1 The Edge is, also where Corus Entertainment is at which runs a few radio stations in Toronto I am sure. We walked by the building and discovered a beach that was there, guessing it was built specifically. Also saw this boat:

Yes I saw the Federal Welland which I probably have seen in my home town here which probably has made a trip here sometime but you never know. We continued to walk on and my dad and I passed where the former Captain John's use to be an a cruise boat that burned way back in the day, so hearing the history was neat and I am a totally history buff and love to hear the history Toronto especially and also the TTC I love talking about the history and it was brought up on this trip as well. We went by the Ferry Terminal after grabbing some lunch and boy it was a busy ferry terminal and yes Toronto was in the middle of Caribana which happens every year in Toronto down by the water.  We decided to not even line up to get on the ferry for a ride as it would probably been a hour from being on a ferry boat, but could be more, so we passed by and watched the ferry's come and go for a bit and continued to walk. We went by the Gelato place and saw tons of Water Taxi's taking people to the island and it was great to see such a busy and hectic Harborfront and people enjoying and taking advantage of this beautiful weather we have had up to yesterday us having rain and enough of it this summer, but it was great to be out in such beautiful weather. We walked over this bridge by the restaurant which is this picture:

Obviously I was on the bridge shaking like a leaf trying to take this picture as I still struggle with the heights thing but getting better. I actually love this picture and I was concerned I wouldn't get a clear picture but I did, someway and somehow. My dad and I hopped onto the streetcar which feels like a LRT (Light Rail Transit) not streetcar as it looks like a train. Anyways, we hopped on and went to the Ferry Terminal that goes to the Toronto Island Airport also known as the Billy Bishop Airport which is named like the one in Owen Sound but another day, another post for this blog. We took the underground tunnel that takes you over to the Island Airport as I normally call it, but you can walk underground tunnel with this cool walkway:
Just like an airport right? Yes! any airport has a moving walkway and I did do a video about it and haven't posted it on Social Media yet. Don't worry I didn't fly anywhere, still in my studio and in the same hometown city I live in. But my dad and I wanted to check it out and see what change they have made over the last while and it good, you can either take the ferry and bring your car over to park or walk under Lake Ontario... LOL, I know that sounds entirely wrong! Haha! Don't mind me, my mind is in the gutter right now and when isn't it? We walked about the terminal and discovered the departures on the second floor and found where passengers can get the ferry and this the most beautful view you can see of the Toronto Skyline from the Island Airport:

Anyways, sorry for the lengthy post but it was a fun day, long and my knee was bugging me a tad but it don't stop me from going out and being a normal human being, well when is my life normal, it's always chaotic and busy but being busy is fine with me, I got no job and it is getting harder to find work as I am getting older, it will be quite difficult so may as well make good use of my time and enjoy life while I am still on this earth and I love traveling and have fun and bring my camera with me and take pictures and blog about it the day or in this case 2 days later but I got the experience with a camera and got some education in the way of photography so I am taking what I've learned and using it for my own website. Anyways this post have gone long enough and enough of my rambling, final thoughts I had a good day and was the most fun I have had in a very long time as I have been busy with podcasts and other blog posts to have fun but this was worth the break and it refreshed me and raring to go and unleashed new life on me and I think I was well deserved to have a break and now I all caught up and ready to go for Amazing Race Canada & the next 2 episodes of Big Brother 19 and Recap both shows and get my routine back up and running!

Have a Great day!

Chris
